Waffles not as good as what they used to be. I came here ten years ago I think they've got new owners the portion sizes are tiny compared and nothing is the same :/ quite sad but understandable that owners change. Pretty sure the waffles weren't even fresh I was told to wait outside which I'm guessing is because the waffles are pre packed where as before they were fresh. It's expensive for what you get

Always visit this place when we come Cornwall on our holidays! The selection of dairy ice cream is extensive and the desserts are great! The only thing we weren't sure on was if our scones in the cream tea were fresh or heated up? Perhaps they can clarify this?

We visited a couple of times during our recent holiday- once for ice cream and once for a meal. There is a wide variety of ice cream flavours including several unique dairy free options. Staff were quick to ask if dairy free was a choice or allergy and offered to change gloves. They have a pizza kitchen too so we also visited for a meal- pizzas and crepes were delicious. Very cute candy pink interior decor too. If we return to Perranporth, we’ll be back!

We visited Perran Dairy a good few times during our relatively short stay. The ice cream is one of the best I’ve tasted. Really wide variety of flavours, I didn’t try all but the ones I did try were all fantastic! Rum & Raisin or anything with caramel is the bomb! We also had a few pizzas in there and you’d be hard pressed to find a better one in Perranporth! The staff is young but always polite and eager to please. Will definitely visit again!

All the ice cream was absolutely delicious made even better by the first class service we received! A lovely greeting as soon as we walked in the door and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our families allergies and dietary requirements. Also struck me as a very clean and well organised business. We will be back!!

Disappointed they no longer sell choice of cakes. Fair enough: waffles and crepes. Also scones jam and cream....But no gluten free choice at all to go with hot drinks. : not even a scone. It's not rocket science.

For the prices these guys charge, I'm stunned at how poor the customer experience is. Admittedly, there was someone young behind the desk being trained, but pretty much everyone else who worked there was a couple of beats behind the drum anyway which led to us having to sort out our own table choice out, wash our own table, and ask whether we ordered at the table or at the till. Okay-ish food, but incredibly lacklustre service, especially at the prices they charge. P.s. I'm adding to this review based on the completely unaccountable / side-swerving response I received below. 1. I actually had no issue with the girl learning; if you re-read my review again, my problems were listed as being everything else. I mentioned the girl learning to provide context / understanding on your behalf, but then went onto list the real issues at hand. 2. It's a Saturday morning in the middle of August! Surprised at it being busy seems like a cop out to me. Of course it's going to be busy, so preparing correct numbers of staff should be an appropriate course of action for you. Using that as an excuse post-sub standard experience isn't really good enough. 3. I don't think the efficiency per member of staff at your place is pretty effective to be honest as I watched a lot of them bumble around and seemed to chase their tail and using less initiative rather than being on the beat (I've been involved in a family restaurant before). If your prices reflected this, I'd have no issue but your prices reflect a higher standard operation, so hence me moaning a little on Google Reviews. In reflection, maybe you should just take fair critique on the chin and look inwardly and learn rather than side-stepping and laying out excuses. Perhaps offer a discounted incentive to see us return and we could perhaps adjust our review next time. Maybe look at the efficiency and initiative of your workers (handing me a cloth to clean our own table?!). I acknowledge it's tough out there, and hiring quality workers for a seasonal destination like Perranporth isn't ideal, but charging like you're at Green Park in London rather than a high street in Perranporth is taking the mickey a bit in my view based on all of the above.

Came to have breakfast.. ordered our food.. and was given one wrong breakfast.. did mention to the staff as it was one of the kids.. and had a manager come over to tell us we were wrong and had definitely ordered it wrong.. and that we would have to pay extra for our correct order and a plate of food that was not wanted.. manager seemed very rude and not willing to resolve our issue.. Just basically said it was us who ordered wrong.. also had no baps so we had bread instead for the same price.. which we didn't mind until we got told we had to pay more for what we ordered

Best ice cream in Cornwall! It’s handmade on the premises and there were so many flavours to choose from - all amazing. Especially blueberry cheesecake. We had lunch - the pizza was fresh made and delicious. The coffee is top quality too. Really friendly staff and nice bright, clean cafe. Definitely recommend!

Amazing place, amazed with the level of cleanliness, fresh gloves, our son had an allergy and they made sure everything was sterilised so we felt very safe. Everyone was so friendly including the chef who also made us fresh pizza before we had icecream. As soon as we entered we were greeted by all staff members. So impressed!

This is our usual place to go for an ice cream or whatever takes the kids fancy, but today will be the last time we go there, the plates were not clean and had dust all over them, 1 of the kids nachos had a thick clump of dust on. The other tables were left uncleaned from previous customers for at least 10 mins putting off potential customers, there were spillages on the floor not cleaned up, empty bottles left strewn about on chairs. We did get a refund upon complaining, which was appreciated and the right thing to do. Unfortunately, we won't be back due to this unpleasant experience

They sell the most beautiful ice cream there, it's clotted cream ice cream and tastes beautiful. Really bright and clean shop that also sells beach essentials, souvenirs and soft drinks. Really, really pleasant staff meant we treated ourselves whenever we were in Perranporth. The salted caramel flavour was my favourite, raspberry ripple my husband's.

Lovely ice cream! I had a gluten-free cone, too. 😋 The guy who served me was very careful not to cross contaminate. I thought that was very thoughtful of him.

Have visited many times over the years. They do a fabulous range of ice creams. And their milkshakes are delicious, vanillia with a coffee shot in it for me 😋.

Fantastic choice of Ice Creams, and some yogurts, and also Sorbet too. Fast service even when busy, and friendly efficient service. Till/counter service was particularly good when we visited on Sunday afternoon and deserves some praise from management. We enjoyed the background music too.

Drove 25 minutes but was definitely worth it. Left with a full belly, a smile and probably diabetes 🤣🍨🍦

Fantastic selection of ice cream as usual.

The scones for the cream tea are a little small, so can seem overpriced, but they taste wonderful and the ice cream here is just incredible. Came back 2 days in a row just to try more of the flavours, and enjoyed every single one. Lots and lots of options of flavours, cones and toppings and they even have a frozen yogurt option which is delicious too. Staff are also lovely and helpful.

A lovely selection of ice creams, milkshakes and sorbets with lots of interesting flavours. The staff were friendly and helpful and the portions generous. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and selection.

Just been here for lunch,I had the 12" perran meat feast pizza and honestly it was the best pizza I have ever eaten period, it was freshly made and and tasted amazing.

We visited multiple times during May half term as this is our children’s favourite ice cream places! We enjoyed both ice cream as well as the pizza. It is good value, great ice cream choices and delicious!

First stop of our trip and this place didn’t disappoint. Me and my husband had the cream tea ( they changed tea to coffee for me as I don’t like tea) and the kids had waffles and ice cream which looked delicious. The young staff were friendly and efficient, we didn’t have to wait long for our order which was brought to our table despite it being very busy. It was clean and tables wiped and cleared quickly. Food and ice cream was amazing. Dogs welcome too, our dachshund puppy loved all the other dogs.

Bad experience I asked for a pennine No egg No cheese just sausage, the guy on the pos till ran through the order and said egg cheese and sausage, No, No egg No cheese just sausage, although they got the wife’s order right. The fellow cooking brought them to our table, mine had sausage cheese with a snotty egg on top. I told the cook that’s not what I asked for, I should have refused the order, my fault, I said ok leave it, scrapped the snotty egg off and ate the end 2 inches. I didn’t fancy the rest, so returned it. It become quickly obvious no refund was being offered so I said I’m diabetic and I not eating that, put it in the bin. After explaining I ask for no egg No cheese, it was obvious the staff were disputing it. I returned to my seat and a person I guess was in charge wanted to discuss what went wrong, She started off with “we are a team here and the staff had said that’s not what was said” So basically I’m being accused of lying? I said exactly what I said but this person was adamant I was wrong.( I guess because that team couldn’t make a mistake or cover one up obviously) I am now getting very annoyed I said look you have been paid the fact I couldn’t eat it isn’t important just now just leave it. She still stood her ground. I shook her hand and said forget it. She then said “would you like some ice cream as we have a diabetic variety.” Which I declined and left my family’s embarrassment personified to finish their food. I had spent £30 on my wife and I. My son more so.(2 adults 2 kids) What ever happened to the customer is always right? A totally different outcome was available and easily rectified.

We had numerous ice creams while on holiday in Newquay and played a game of reviewing them & while most of them got 5 or 6 out of 10 I was determined to find a 9 or 10 out of ten and this place didn’t disappoint lovely surroundings , very pleasant polite staff and excellent ice cream with plenty of flavours to choose from would highly recommend you won’t be disappointed

Dog friendly. Lovely ice cream. I had Turkish delight and bounty. Very welcoming staff. They also do a peanut butter dog ice cream which my lab loved! Highly recommend

Sundaes are amazing, not cheap but soo worth it. We normally get take out but decided to eat in for a change which was nice.

This place has become a regular stop for us on our holiday for an after-meal treat. They make the ice cream on site and have loads of flavours plus extras like flakes and marshmallows to sprinkle on. As well as ice cream they do pizza, waffles, crepes and sundaes. Hidden gem with fabulous ice cream. The salty caramel is not to be missed!

Very good ice cream , and I’m an ice creamaholic :-) , but a little pricey

We come to Perranporth every May holidays, and every time this is our ‘go to’ ice cream spot. Firstly, the ice cream is absolutely delicious, huge selection of flavours (gutted everywhere has stopped doing cherry Bakewell flavour though, it was the most amazing ice cream I have ever had). It is pretty much always busy but there are lots of staff on and you never queue for that long. BUT the thing that makes this place special to us is the care they take with food allergies. Our daughter has coeliac, we have to make a bit of a nuisance of ourselves in these places asking for the scoop to be replaced / cleaned in case of contact with wafers and cones containing gluten, daughter has a very low tolerance and quite severe reaction to gluten and wheat. You always worry, particularly with new, young staff, but EVERY year Perran Dairy is consistently brilliant. No matter how busy or which staff member, they immediately tell you they will cleanse / replace the scoop, change gloves, wash hands and ensure that the ice cream you’ve ordered is safe for you. It sounds like such a basic and obvious thing but it is SO reassuring and makes our daughter feel like she is well looked after and not a ‘problem’. Trust us Perran Dairy, not everyone is as on top of their game as you are, some are downright dangerously ignorant (Lobster Pot, Padstow e.g. AVOID!!!) keep doing what you are doing, and thank you for doing it so well. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

AMAZING HOMEMADE ICE CREAM! A conveniently located ice-cream parlour, situated by a popular beach. Serving traditional Cornish Ice Cream, and a large selection of flavours, this place is definitely worth a visit. You can even watch them making the ice-cream at the back of the store.

Visited with our dog today as my wife loves the chocolate orange ice cream, shared a waffle with 2 scoops of ice cream the chocolate orange and the banoffee, both were delicious as was the waffle. Friendly service and love the fact we can take our pooch in. Only slight criticism was my cappuccino had more froth than coffee! That said love the ice cream

You can’t miss this place, it’s bright, colourful and has ice cream statues outside of it. It does all your traditional ice cream flavours, waffles etc you are in Cornwall though so we had to go for the clotted cream flavour which was lovely. Expensive but I feel prices are the same throughout Cornwall, I’m yet to see an ice cream cone under £4. Nevertheless, friendly staff and yummy ice cream close to the beach

Went here today as staying in perranporth, and heard great reviews, they were right ✅️, we had waffles and ice cream and they were delicious, service was great and all the ice creams looked amazing 👏. We had banoffee, clotted cream and pecan ice creams with our waffles. Also the ice cream is made on site so can actually see the product being made, awesome to see and no wonder it tastes so good .

What a shame, we visited here yesterday afternoon to find only a small selection of flavours on offer. Is this because it was the end of season? Wish we had gone elsewhere.

We visited during our holiday in Perranporth recently, I had a hot waffle with 2 scoops of ice-cream and my husband had a Knickerbocker Glory. He explained to the assistant that I have an allergy to strawberries, as these can be part of the waffle dessert, and they came to our table to check whether I had any other allergies. It was very busy on the day we visited and it took a little time for my waffle to be prepared away from any fruits, but this was worth the wait. The staff were very good at checking for any additional allergies/needs and ensured that I felt safe enough to eat my delicious waffle. My choices for the ice-cream were the only thing that could have improved it but with so many flavours I had a hard time getting it down to just 2 scoops. My husband had a huge smile on his face the whole time he was eating so I know he enjoyed his too.

Really nice, dog friendly, really good ice cream parlor of old, waffles, crepes, ice creams sundaes, cones, smoothies, milkshakes, pizza everything looked and smelled great.

We came here to buy an ice cream and use the loo and after looking at the menu and the clean kitchen ordered pancakes and ended up coming 3 days in a row. They do amazing pancakes, pizza and ice cream. They open a bit longer than some of the other cafes so are perfect for a tea time stop after the beach. The staff are polite, the loo is clean and the food is so good. Dogs are welcome.

Fab crêpes daughter really enjoyed them, lots of choice of traditional and different flavours of ice cream. Really enjoyed the Ferrero Rocher flavour ice cream.

Googled for good icecream places nearby and this one came up first...totally deserved. Went here twice, because it was so good. Besides the classic flavours, I fell in love with the vegan dark chocolate...it was mesmerizing. Haven't had such a good, shiny, smooth dark chocolate with vegan ingredients ever before...and I eat a lot of icecream in different places :)

Never fails me this place, fantastic selection of ice cream. Like a big kid in a candy shop. Also nice to have a ice-cream on a hot day from this place. 100% always

Popped in on a rainy day and ordered the waffle with ice-cream (flavour of your choice), whipped (or clotted) cream and choice of syrup. I had the classic crepe with Nutella and banana. It was delicious

Fantastic ice cream and clotted cream waffles. Plenty of seating, we were a group of 12 and had enough space to sit together. Clotted cream and ice cream was delicious. A little down side was that the waffles are pre bought and were not freshly made to order and rather small in size compared to what I'm used to London, I would have otherwise given this 5 stars. Would definitely visit again.
