If I could rate this place minus stars I would. I wonder if they take themselves seriously as a food chain due to their consistency to disappoint and ruin a meal. Uber eats order this time didnt have an item that was worth the money and driver seemed to be confused too, unable to find the address. Never complained about a food place before but felt the need to warn people to save money here.

Very rude after getting my order and it bing crushed in the bag they had put it into. When I have called them to complain the phone was put down on me very rude will not use these again.

We often eat in or pick up food from here, we usually are very happy with our orders and they are not overpriced.

Service is slow, food taste old, grissal in the beef burger that could break a tooth. Lamb burger was thin and dry. When you pay money you expect quality not old low quality piece's of meat. Wont be ordering again any time soon.

If I could give more stars for service, I would. I went in today and was greeted pleasantly by the lady behind the counter. The food was ready in under 10 minutes and was very tasty and fresh. Upon leaving, I got to my car and realised part of my order wasn't in there. I called the restaurant to let them know and say i was coming back. The lady immediately knew who i was, apologised, and offered to bring the missing part of my order to me! She came to my car, which was parked a good 5/7 minute walk away, very apologetic, and handed me my missing order. Once I opened the reunited wings, I was pleasantly surprised she had given me an extra wing for the inconvenience! Made my day! Great service great food!

Fried chicken tastes real bad, chips were ok but wouldn't go again, not good enough quality to eat.

I used to like peri Peri a lot but sadly it seems when ownership changed it went down under, 3 different times I've ordered mini platter with rice and they've given me mini platter and chips , when you pull them up they don't really care, I think the one in lawn lane is 10 times better but if I want my order from the town centre I order from the peppes which is next door. You only have to look at which one is getting more customers and you can tell Peri Peri in the town centre has serious problem. I hope they fix up or let Ahmed show them how it's done.

Old food warmed up and given. Been there twice but I’ll never go again, never saw a single customer there even at peak hours regardless it’s location. not busy, so no fresh food

HORRIBLE. For 34£ I have ordered : chicken burger meal, chicken wrap and chicken tasca plus other small stuff. The point is, that chicken burger tasted like....NOTHING. There was no flavour or whatsoever in it, there was a little bit of chopped letuce on the bottom, then 2 slices of tasteless chicken ,,burger" and then some sauce. The wrap was small and way to spicy, same as the tasca. I get it. It should be spicy but cmon. The only thing I enjoyed is the garlic dip - truly tasty. AND FOR THE LOVE OF... THE COKE WAS WARM, I nearly spitted it out! That's the worst thing among all. I also asked to call me, when delivery comes and they havent done the minimum. Waste of money...

I just ordered food from Peri Peri -disgusting. Tastless or rather the taste resembled old potatoes event though it was chicken. Everything had a taste of old food. Pepsi was just warm and no gas event though ordered cold from fridge. I do not recommend and warn you -wasted money. D I S G U S T I N G

Phoned up for delivery ordered 3 piece meal with 2 hotwings chicken wrap meal with large popcorn All turned fine opened chicken meal only 2 pieces and 2 hot wings so phoned them up Say said its my fault I ordered 2 pieces and not 3 which was a lie then they said will send extra piece up but will be a extra quid already paid 22 quid for the meals I won't be using peri peri again getting a right rip off Update my single piece of chicken never arrived Marlowes get ya act together you jobs worth I WONT BE BUYING FROM THIS SHOP AGAIN !!!!!!!

Food is good. We had XL burger meal and Chicken Rice box both spicy. Good quality halal food. Prices seems to be going up as compared to last few months.

Got a piri piri chicken pitta. Breast was dry. Pitta was stale. All in all quite disappointing. Well worth going into Pepe's next door instead

I have ordered large portions of chips, but it was the same if I would order regular.

Mediocre food, I ordered a platter meal for one. The only part of the meal which wasn’t dry was the chip. Chicken was dry and tasteless. The peri peri sauce was the only thing that saved the meal from going in the bin. Utter dissatisfaction.

Given a delivery time of 40 mins, phoned to check and was told further 10 mins still waiting 1 and half hours later! Was told it was because we ordered tikka chicken that it was so long! Why?? Will not be using again as this is second time our food has been over an hour late!

Hit and miss very small portions of food. The chicken is half the size of the bun and as thick as a slice of ham wouldn't recommend to any 1 unless there's no other options but use to be good about a year ago

Disgusted! A chicken wrap with 1 mini fillet chargrilled into a rock with 1 piece of Lettuce, 2 kebabs both tiny with an egg cups worth of salad each! What a Joke... such a shame the lawn lane branch doesn't sell Doner meat anymore! Will never go back!

Peri peri is the worst fast food place, I ordered a milkshake and i waited 2 hours for just 1 and when it came it was melted and tasted disgusting and I wanted to pay in coins but they forced me to pay in a note

I just ordered from Peri Peri and the food was absolutely disgusting to say the least.. the chicken was massively over cooked and to dry even eat. Must of been cooked more than once. It was not fresh at all lacking flavour, tasted like charcoal Burnt chicken no sauce to the chicken. Chips had the texture of eating cardboard and the other half of them was wet. You can not run a service with such poor quality and inedible food. The food used to be lovely when first opened I will never be ordering from here again. Someone could end up ill eating this poorly cooked food. This place needs CLOSING DOWN I’m absolutely disgusted. I wouldn’t even feed this to my cat let alone humans

Ordered from just eat. Came after 2 hours with half the order missing. Requested a refund and still No refund given on the items missing. Still chasing it up with just eat. I ordered from Peri Peri via Just Eat. This was The Marlowes branch of Peri Peri. This will be the last time I order from Peri Peri. There was no sauce, they forgot to bring the 5 apple pies and salad with the order. The chicken was dry and the chips should have been buried before they were even cooked. This was so disappointing. Even before this order, I ignored the fact that the apple pies started tasting like burnt oil. This used to be a go to when you have a large group of friends visit you and you don't feel like cooking. This was an upsetting experience, which I will not repeat. As there are other choices in Hemel Hempstead, I will try either Fat Roosters or Flavour 38. As for me I am done.

We always ordered from Lawn Lane and then decided to change to Marlowes for convenience. Seems alrite but they always as usual never put CHEESE in a CHEESE BURGER!!Always have to call and complain about it.Now this is 2nd time that when we placed an order over the phone for collection,they never have it ready.It was more quicker to order for delivery than stand around and wait.The excuse is "the shop just opened,i didn't know that it wasn't opened".This time.the order took 45mins again;got late picking kids from school aswell and the food was dry!Ordered chicken tikka burger extremely dry and burnt.All the cheese burgers lacked mayonnaise and no CHEESE AGAIN!Very disappointed and will not be ordering from this peri peri again.I was not the only customer waiting.Someone had ordered kofta kebab for 3pm and was told 10min wait and they had also got late to pick up their daughter from school.The dad went and got their daughter and the kofta still wasn't ready! Unbelievable! You can see the poor slow service.

Wings aren't great here, pretty dry, hard breading and not that spicy at all. The chicken wrap was bland too and the chips aren't anything amazing either. Their pilau rice smells good, I should have tried that.

Rude!!! Ordered 2 meals, even told the bloke, no rush, as the wife is still at work, so take your time. Arrived 25 mins later, only 1 meal. Got on the phone to him and he just argued with me telling me I’m wrong. Why would I order 1 meal when I want two.... numpty. Then demanded I paid for what he delivered He should consider himself lucky the wife was at work, other wise I would of been down there and shoved the food up his a£se! Useless, avoid!!!

Spoke to them on the phone as had a large order for about 20 people. Asked them to deliver to an address 3.2 miles away. Just got told a straight no and they hung up. Called back was advised they wont deliver as irish travelers messed them about b4. Im hardly one of those but thanks for your racist input. I offered to pay up front but as no door number here they cant deliver? Its a farm you idiots. For that u will never get my custom again. Here with a large film production crew so you just lost a big order and many more while we are here on location.

Great place if you fancy losing weight in time for xmas. Twice I had food from here, twice I got food poisoning. Was so ill both times that I now accept the people running this takeaway have zero concept of food hygiene. The chicken tasted a little off and the chips were soggy. A health hazard to the public.

The order took 2 hours and 15 mins to arrive. when the food arrived the chips were missing the chicken was cold and had gooey black stuff on it the other chips we got were cold and soggy. We called after an hour and a half they said the driver had just left, then he didn’t arrive for another 45 mins, called the shop to ask for a refund he said they couldn’t do it we had to call just eat when we spoke to just eat he called them and the staff told him he was shocked to hear we wanted a refund even though we specifically asked for one and he referred us back to just eat. Still no refund and we had unedible food don’t order from this dodgy place!

I placed an order for delivery at Peri Peri on Saturday night and I am sad to say this place is now a shadow of its former self. All the food I ordered: this included the wrap, the fries and the apple pie all tasted of burnt oil. It had a fowl taste that I will not forget in a hurry. The trust is lost, cannot order from them again.

I recently went to this restaurant and I found that the restaurant is located in a very good space of the city within the town centre. Restaurant was very well lit and the staff were perfectly attentive and very polite. The food was 10/10 and it was a very exhilarating evening.

I want to marry your spicy wings (plus they gave my friend diarrhea so its a win win situation).

I popped in about 3 pm.it wasn't busy altho the assistant was friendly he was glued to his phone throughout the transaction and I noticed while waiting that the grill was extremely dirty and also the floor.my burger was OK but the cleanliness has put me off going in again.

The peri peri chicken (especially the extra hot) is just lovely. Fried chicken ok but up against the bbq'd peri peri it gets beat. Just don't touch your eyes

Worst food I’ve ever had to be honest the burger literally tasted like cardboard and I felt like the chips had expired peri salt on top and felt sick after the COUPLE bites I had🤦🏽‍♀️. Really really disappointed with this place. Decided to order from here after getting off the National Express from Gatwick. The whole experience was negative from beginning to end to say the least. When we entered the shop it was filthy, there were leaves everywhere even behind the counter. It was a Saturday night, the place was empty and there was one staff member on the phone who seemed to be irritated by having to answer customer questions on the phone. He kept on rolling his eyes while on the phone and we (other customers) were watching him. When my wife and I checked into the hotel we immediately sat down to eat and I have to say I was disgusted with what I was presented with. The chicken burger I got was smelly. The chicken breast itself seemed to smell rotten and seems undercooked.. I spat out the first little bite and threw it in the bin. The 3 fried chicken wings I got were those humongous GM wings with more meat but no taste and the also just seemed wrong in how they tasted. My wife's 2 pieces of chicken seemed undercooked. My chips were soggy, there was no pepper even though the man insisted he put salt and pepper in the bag - he didn't. The only remotely edible thing were the peri peri extra hot grilled wings, but even they had a smelly after taste like the chicken was old or rotten. I think the only reason I could eat them was because I ordered them extra well done.. Anyways I have been to many different peri peri original takeaways, they are usually quite good but I have to say this one is the worst fast food shop I have been to in my life. Disgusting would not be an understatement. This was my first and last time going to that particular establishment and now that I have been there I could honestly say you could not even pay me to eat there again! On a side note just judging from their general conduct and apparent lack of honesty, I would SERIOUSLY question the old halal sign on the blade sign outside.

I phoned for a delivery and found the call handler rude, very basic and disinterested....yeah, what do you want attitude!! I will be throwing the leaflet in the bin after I have recieved my order and any further leaflets will be placed in the bin upon receipt!

Staff aren't friendly on the phone. Online menu has all the wrong prices and even though it says free deliver online you actually get charged delivery. You also get charged for card payments. As for the food it's fairly good.

Trust. Bossman always nices me with the freshest chicken, also I know the supplier these chicken come fresh from the abattoir only the halalest munch privately couriered right to the door. The wings have that special crunch, not too oily but oily enough to appreciate. Lil bit salty and with that space that's enough to get your tongue on the low key burn but not enough to have you weeping for the next ten mins. Inside tho, lush cooked to the bone bright white chicken, none of those red bloody stringy bits you find in these 3Rd rate chicken establishments. The burgers are flame grilled none of this microwave or oven bollocks. Tell bossman how u like it is personally a xrtra hot with a bit of lemon type of guy. The breast comes in the burger. You get these places where half the breast is out of the burger nahhh none of that over at peri. The buns have that thin dusting of flour - key to soak up any leftover seasoning. And just a good dollop of mayo. And bossman has YouTube on the screen, get him to stream ur favourite bangers while u munch. What more can u ask....

I like 1 of the guy works he's bare ee fit plus I love peri peri it's my favourite they coookk really nice .... 1 srilanka skinny guy he's kind I'll goo everyday and they do delivery service in 20 _ 30 mins asap

Please read - do not go to this place . We ordered a Fanta and got a Pepsi , the order took a hour and a half. The chips were cold and they messed up the order . To make it worse we found a bone with a Mould on it. Strongly advice to stay away !!

Rang Peri Peri at 22:45 to place an order for 12. Waiting outside at 12 no one comes wait 15mins still no one, Ring the number again and no ones answering the phone...Excellent service!!
