Perch in Hackney

Accepting its a captive audience and prices are high and poor value. It was still disappointing in terms of service. We had popped in for some food prior to boarding, with plenty of time to spare and we needed it. Staff numbers appeared to be limited and we waited a long time before being approached to order. Then a long wait for food and finally getting the bill. On reviewing the bill we noticed that we had been charged for an item, not ordered or provided. More delays whilst we queried bill which subsequently required the manager, as staff were unable to amend the bill. He said they couldn't eadily adjust the bill and offered a bottle of water to make up the difference. I declined as we didn't need any water and he walked off. Running out of time I eventually got someone's attention and paid the bill and took the water rather than miss flight. Never Again

Overpriced food (frozen heated) and drinks. Unfriendly staff, bus boy picks stuff from table to get you off of it (even asks you if you done when just ordered coffee after meal). Did not check other reviews prior taking a seat...as it seemed cosy, but better just go to Burger King across.

Drinks are ridiculously priced and no drink menu available when we asked so it was somewhat of a shock when we were charged £74 for 4 gins and lemonade!!!

Firstly was greeted at entrance by a lady the first thing she told me they had no draught lager or cider available she then took me to my seat. I ordered the burger and a bottle of lager. The chips that accompanied the burger were a sad reheated mess and the burger was awful, not seasoned and no flavour at all. It was essentially like half a pound of mince bundled together. I called a waiter over to settle up and told him that the reason there was still a 3/4 of a burger and a pile of chips left was that they were awful. He replied sorry to hear that and had already started to wander off to another table. Shocking food awful service

Had not been to Stanstead for a few years and although a few generic branded eating places we opted for Perch. The service was excellent and the 2 burgers ( 1 Perch and 1 chorizo) were delicious. Airport food can some times be a bit hit and miss but this was top notch.

The waiter was miserable snd no eye contact- a very large tall chap with a beard- needs trsining in customer service - the others were great btw. The tea tasted great

My partner and I were flying from Stansted airport and we had our breakfast in this fabulous restaurant. The food was great and the staff (Bence) was very attentive and friendly. I like their Banana and Honey Greek Yogurt. Not to be missed when in Stansted.

Two breakfasts on a Sunday morning while waiting for a plane. Not the cheapest at nearly £40 including three bottles of water, but large portions with a nice variety of ingredients, including bacon, cherry tomatoes, black beans, avocado, toast, sausage mushrooms etc. Fast service, pleasant seating, will return.

Just had a quick burger before my flight. It came fairly quickly but was obviously a reheat and cold. I took one bite and sent it back. The burger was like some cheap meat reconstituted into a burger shape. The second arrived and was tepid but still like it was bought from some back street late night burger house. The tomato, lime and chilli salsa was probably from some cheap sweet chilli bottle. Over all at £15.45 it is about £15 overpriced. I am writing this a I sit here finishing the beer, which was ok as it was San Miguel and they couldn't tamper with it. Unless it changes radically I would say avoid! In their favour I was not charged for the burger after I complained and the staff very understanding This is a copy of my review on Google so there are no differences about what I say.

The bar itself is well appointed and the food was good. However, the service was appalling. I waited a good ten minutes for my initial order to be taken, in spite of saying more than once I was ready to order - and the place wasn't busy when I arrived. It got busier; I asked several times for another drink, nothing appeared so in the end I just got the bill and didn't leave service, rare for me but it really was that bad. It's an airport and people are on the clock, they need to sort this out.

We visited with some friends and tried the famous chicken wings which did not disappoint! Mains were full of flavour and topped off with delicious cocktails. Will definitely return. Keep working hard as this place has great potential.

My partner and I stumbled across the perch on a cold tuesday evening and didnt think much of it at first even though it did look great from outside.we had a cocktail or two each and some of the best smoked meats and sauces we had ever tasted.staff were friendly and the vibe was nice and chilled.great food great drink and all in all a great evening.thank you perch!
