Went to Pera kichen with my daughter and grandchildren for lunch. The restaurant is lovely and the food excellent. Staff very helpful. We had the set lunch menu and there was a good choice. Will definitely go again and would recommend

We had a very tasty meal at Pera Kitchen. The big shared grill thing was good and the service was pleasant.

The food wasn’t that great, atmosphere was dull. Their social media seems to be telling a different story. Tried to reach out to them and help them better themselves. Rather than saying they are not interested, they blocked me from their social media. Even though i did this because their food and customer service wasnt up to scratch and i wanted to help them even after a terrible meal. Let’s just say the waiters in there weren’t skilled either and the food was highly bland. The salad wasn’t even made right. Now i love turkish food but this wasn’t it! Theres better turkish restaurants about near there

Pera has been open for many months now, so this was my first visit, hoping that any teething problems would have been ironed out, unfortunately I think it will be my last visit too. First the food - underwhelming, our Patican starter was bland and tasteless, especially in comparison to others we'd tasted in the area. The mains we had were ok, but nothing special. Ah, the mains, well one of them was not what had been ordered at all. When it was brought out the waitress argued with us at the table as she insisted we had ordered it when we had actually ordered the version cooked with a sauce and yoghurt. It's not rocket science for a server to repeat the order back before taking it to the kitchen, and had she done so then the kitchen would have prepared the right dish. When the bill arrived we naturally refused to pay the service charge and had to justify to (possibly the) manager not paying what the bill said is an optional payment anyway. Not recommended.

I frequently eat Turkish food and came across this gem in Crouch End. Service is good and always with a smile. Similarly the food probably the best I have eaten in North London. They also have a cheap lunch menu as well as a la carte. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

We had high hopes for this place, and finally made it for a family meal. The decor and friendly staff didn’t disappoint, but the food did. We ordered calamari which was coated in such thick breadcrumbs that we had to scrape them off. The Greek salad was unlike any Greek salad I have ever had. No fresh chunky ingredients, no red onion, no flavour! It felt like it had been made in the morning and sat there all day. Really disappointing -especially when Crouch End has 2 amazing fruit and veg shops with delicious tomatoes and fresh veg. The bread was good however, and the chicken shish was tender. We won’t be coming back I’m sad to say. Made me remember Petek up the road, where we have re-visited numerous times, and will continue to visit.

Been here twice for dinner now and the food is excellent and very nice friendly service. Sat outside both times but the interior looks very nice too. Reasonable prices as well. Really hope this place stays - too many restaurants have recently closed in Crouch End.

My favourite haunt in Crouch End! Amidst the array of fabulous shops, right in the heart of the hussel and brussel of Crouch end Broadway lies the amasing Pera kitchen. In front of the town hall (soon to be swanky hotel), over looking the lovely green where my boyaterious 7 year old enjoys escaping to climb trees between courses while I sip on fresh mint tea basking in the sun (on one of our more fortunate days!) This is my favourite haunt of the hour. I, like many stumbled upon the grand opening night 50% off deal and my intentions where merely for the financial benefits. However with the combination of warmth and hospitality that this little juel offers its priceless and that 50% off has had me spending ever since. Fortunately the Prices are reasonable and those on a budget can cash in on the £10 two course lunchtime menu. It's well worth the money! The Lamb ribs and Shish are out of this world! However my son would definitely say it's the aray of fine ice cream to add the sugar rush to his abundant energy supply. The staff are patient, kind and attentive, they ooze the Mediterranean family vibe with the old school customer service, which in many places these days is a thing of the past. They are attentive courteous and generous. The Interior design is high end trendy and a real pleasure to dine-in! Just what we need in Crouch end! I visited this restaurant about a month ago. At that time it had yet to be listed on trip advisor and so there is a chance that since then it has improved from being one of the poorest Turkish restaurants I have eaten in. I am Turkish. Over the past five decades I have eaten in countless Turkish restaurants both here and all over Turkey. If a restaurant could be called cynical in its approach to the cuisine it professes to promote then the Pera Kitchen is exactly that. The cuisine it promotes is Western Mediterranean Turkish which is heavily reliant on the freshness of its ingredients. The restaurant gives a choice of rice or couscous. What you get (which is correct for a Turkish restaurant) is bourghal. Couscous, a staple of Moroccan food is a completely different product. So if that is what you expect when you order it you won’t be getting it. The Turkish salad was bland, with none of the sharp tang you would expect from the pomegranate molasses dressing, mainly because there was so little evidence that there was any used. The pepper that traditionally accompanies a lamb kebab (the long green chargrilled one that any fan of the takeaway kebab would immediately recognise) was replaced by a short red one. Why? I suspect that they are cheaper. The three starters were all characterised by their blandness. The liver was minus the Aleppo pepper that you would normally find with the finely sliced raw onion that accompanies the liver. The Patlican Ezme had none of the smokiness you would expect from char grilled aubergines. It’s as if in preparing the menu they have parred everything down to what they could get away with and still call it a Turkish restaurant. If I sound angry it is because(unsurprisingly) I believe that Turkish cuisine is one of the world’s best and to see it presented in such a way angers me, AND at prices above what you should reasonably expect to pay. If you live in Crouch End and fancy A decent Turkish meal you could do no better than cross the road, hop on a 41 bus to Turnpike Lane and take a short walk to Green Lanes where you will find several Turkish restaurants selling better quality food at lower prices.

We enjoyed a fantastic meal here one evening. The welcome at the door was warm and friendly, and the service remained exceptionally good throughout. I might add that the restaurant is beautifully clean, including the toilets. The food was wonderful: an excellent menu, generously-sized portions, delicious flavours, beautifully cooked and served. A very impressive restaurant; we shall go again.

Prices are reasonable considering it is Crouch End. Perfect location. Waiting staff are really nice. But not the food. Kisir was so salty and sour that it was not edible. Sigara boregi was somehow sweet. (Wrong cheese perhaps). Vegetarien burger is something the chef must have invented with little understanding of vegetarian cuisine. Avocado, mushroom, halloumi, an iceberg leave and a piece of sun dried tomato. They need a professional Turkish chef who can create fusion.

This is a super atmospheric cafe, it's very much a study-in-a-coffee-shop kind of vibe! It's got a really nice view from the window where you can see everything going on outside. It's often busy since it's located close to a couple of schools, but it's a great place to go to on the weekends, in my experience. The food is great, but super expensive! I don't go regularly, but sometimes will get a nice cinnamon bun which I highly recommend ;)

Good food, nice staff. Just showed up and got a table for 2. Service was quick and efficient. Starters + Meal + Drinks + Dessert = Less than £30! Complete bargain for the overall quality. Will revisit in the future.
