The DJ and ‘friend’ (what was her purpose?) were absolutely atrocious. The music was dreadful. More people left than came in. Somewhere I will leave if they are ever there again!!!!

We found this pub by chance on Christmas day and had an amazing meal. We tried 3 different dishes (Turkey - polenta with sausages - pappardelle with lobster) and they were all exceptionally good. The chef and his wife are Italian and they are brilliant in the kitchen. All homemade, authentic, delicious Italian food that it's very difficult to find in England. We went back on Boxing day to try their pizza and it was probably the best pizza we've ever had in the UK. My apple crumble was so yummy too! Prices are also very good. We know now where to go to eat when we are in London!

By luck we found the kitchen at pepper’s ghost opened on boxing day with a special meal, sea food pasta with lobster. Amazing pasta, the chef is italian and we can taste it. His wife is serving always with a smile. Really nice couple, I highly recommend their food!

Went today with my in-laws and husband for the first time. Completely blown away by the food! I had gnocchi with an Italian sausage ragu (one of today's specials); we also ordered a chicken burger, apple crumble and tiramisu. The chicken burger tasted fresh, amazing homemade crisps and chips came with it on the side. My gnocchi was so delicious, rich ragu with fresh gnocchi! The apple crumble was equally demolished. They ran out of tiramisu but they had an idea (consulted us first) to do a makeshift version using the softest pannetone I have ever tasted - huge portion that we all practically licked off! Honestly, we were so taken back by how good the food was, you can tell they really care about the ingredients they use and how it tastes. The sweetest husband and wife team! Will definitely be back!!!

I like the new kitchen with authentic Italian food, pasta, pizza and also Sunday roast. My boyfriend and I have been there a few times since the Italian chefs took over and we were always satisfied. I highly recommend it. Good food, less politics

Quality food and passionate cooking is what you will find in this newly refurbished pub. The food and service was restaurant wliatu, locally sourced ingredients and a great service.

There were hardly any customers inside the pub, as it was such a hot day. Most people were outside. A group of adults with one small child were sitting inside. The child was making ear-splitting shrieks of joy and it seemed that the adults were goading the child on in this respect. It was hard to bear, and a conspiracy theory formed in my mind that the brewery had paid this family group to make conditions intolerable in the pub and discourage punters. The decor of the pub interior is a muddle. Previous "modernisations" are already starting to look dated. The only original features appear to be the slim, tall columns that hold up the ceiling, with ornamental Corinthian capitals, and an area of rather beautiful, delicate plasterwork on one wall--a frieze of swags of fruit and flowers. Food was not being served as it was after 4pm.

An stinky old boozer-turn-gastro pub. How could they get this so wrong? There has been news going around that the brewery tried to run down the business in order to turn the premise into flat. Well, they are certainly on that path if one wants to see how to run a pub into the ground. Thursday late afternoon, a couple of people watching day time game show miserably.

No one in their right mind needs to pay for food and get such a grumpy and unpleasant greeting - really?? Not somewhere I will consider bringing children back to or even adults About the most unpleasant bar maid I’ve ever met

I had a lunch with my son and when we relised that my son chicken was raw inside lady on the bar straight away changed my son meal to the new one. Also to my surprised she refund money per kids meal and she served as a complementary scoop of chocolate ice cream. My son left happy and I left satisfied that lady done extra mile for us. Very impressed!

Just had a ’quick burger’ for lunch in this nice clean and friendly pub. It was surprisingly empty for such a nice place right on a busy high street but we were glad to get a cosy corner for the four of us. Lovely burger, thick, succulent and perfectly cooked. Really nice staff who offered free desert because we had to wait a bit (there was only one cook), but we were happy just to have a coffee.

We were staying in the Ibis Styles and came to Pepper's Ghost for food in the early evening on a Friday, it was very quiet and relaxed at that time. The food was good, as were the cocktails. I'm not sure if this is the case all the time but they were only accepting cash payment when we visited.

Worth a visit. Went for the launch of their new Sunday roast menu and was not disappointed. The food was delicious, portion sizes generous and good value for money. We started with a retro prawn cocktail to share and then had the short rib and the lamb. Because we’re greedy we also had the tiramisu! The kids had a ball too with their version of a Sunday roast (fried chicken and chips), entertained by the Collab colouring pencils and paper. Finally, had a couple of glasses of wine from their all by the glass list, so I had the Gruner from Austria followed by the Susumaniello from Puglia, not often do you get that choice in a restaurant! Staff were cool. Like I say, worth a visit.

The bread here is good, the staff, however, really need some training in customer service. I've never seen any of the people who have served me smile or say a friendly word. Today, the bread I usually buy was sold out so I asked for some advice on what to buy instead. I was told, in a rather impatient tone, that all the breads contain 'a mixture' of grains (very helpful, especially to people with food allergies). When I asked about the difference between bread X and bread Y (looked different, had different prices and different, rather uninformative, names), I was told brusquely "They are the same". IGNORANT and RUDE. And this is not my first such experience - to the point that, despite their bread being really tasty, I don't feel like going back.

I've been here a couple of times before and everything was great, but not so today. I ordered a Cappuccino and the Three Cheese Toastie. The coffee was great, but the toastie took ages to arrive (despite the cafe being almost empty), and when it did arrive it was burnt to the point of being virtually inedible. Surely a chef / cook can't have made that, looked at it and thought "yep, I think I'll serve that". I'd travelled a fair distance especially to visit Dudley's, but I won't be going back.

Good local pub in Manor Park, 1 minute walk to station. Has a pool table, friendly staff, locals and regulars. Shows Sky sports, and has a DJ at weekends.
