Staying the area and discovered this little gem. Sandwiches and soup are excellent - owners are really nice. Children alert free with adults - really good idea.

It's a good quality place for coffee they have an interest in the local area. So it's well worth keeping them open the food is high quality while they do have selected teas and coffees.

I love this place and go regularly. The food is great. The soup is the BEST! The owners is a huge guy with a very dry wit, which seems unfriendly - but he's so funny and lovely. Two tiny dogs just make it home from home.

My son and I popped in for breakfast yesterday, and I'm sure we'll be visiting again very soon. Lovely quaint wee place with nick nacks for sale, books to read, and toys to keep the children happy. We had a fry up and it was lovely. Good choice of home made cakes and scones. Would definitely recommend ❤️

A friendly, spotless cafe with fresh salad and lovely paninis. The coffee was piping hot. The cafe was well-patronised but locals, which is always a good sign!

I got married on 13th June and as it was very small wedding with immediate family only (10 of us in total) we had a meal at the venue then continued our celebrations at home in the evening. I ordered a mixed buffet from Peppermill Bothy for the evening (they delivered this as well). It was absolutely outstanding and went down a storm with my family. Everyone commented on how good it was. I cannot recommend the Peppermill Bothy highly enough.

Rude staff, not made to feel welcome at all! Food average at best! Will not be back and will tell others not to go elsewhere!

Food is average, staff attitude is dreadful, parents are not welcome to feed infants here, expect to be asked to leave if you do, despite the laws on this.

In a time where small business's need customers more than ever. Your poor outdated customer skills to not allow two young mothers to breastfeed there young babys which is there legal right is shocking

Popped in at 10 am, opening time on a Sunday. Light breakfast for two, orange juice, tea and coffee. All perfect, cannot fault any of it including service. Bacon was exceptional. £13 is very well priced.

I've been to the Peppermill Bothy a few times now and have never once had anything but an amazing experience. The food is incredible with generous portion sizes. The staff are friendly and welcoming and even the background music sets a nice atmosphere. Whenever there is a wait for food, the staff will kindly inform you of what the wait time is - which isn't usually all that long considering they cook almost all their food from fresh. The quality of the haggis I've had is exceptional and the pizza we had during the "pizza night" held on the occasional Thursday (it might be fortnightly but I cannot remember accurately) was delicious and filling too. All in all, this place is a hidden gem and I'm torn between keeping it all to myself so I can continue to have a friendly laid back atmosphere or letting people know my secret and risk the place becoming so popular I can hardly get a table anymore!

We had a very tasty lunch here sitting in the sun outside. Super fresh bread for the sandwiches, beautifully presented. Very generous helping if you have the ploughmans! It is clean, the service is friendly and there is plenty of parking. It is great value too.

Went for lunch but the place was closed. No sign at the end of the road to say so. It looks as if it could be closed for quite a while yet. Very disappointing. Signs to say closed and for how long at the end of the road would be helpful.

Previously it had more of a pub feel which the large bar still holds on to. Table tops are a bit more utilitarian but the menu suggests high designs which it doesn’t quite deliver. Large portion of tasty starters but over priced and slightly over cooked steak with fish and chips where the batter on one side was over and the other side slightly under.

Tasty.... My friend and I visited here fir the 1st time. Very pleasant surroundings, equally pleasant staff. We sat through the back which was very nice. The coffee was really nice but the Rhubarb Loaf.....well!! It was amazing! I'll definitely be going again

Was out having a drive today and popped in here as I’ve heard good things about the place. Sadly won’t be back the fish batter was soggy and drenched in fat wasn’t crispy at all. Had to clean the table before we sat down. Stay away from here if ya ever out n about looking for some fish n chips

First visit today for lunch and it won’t be our last. Sits right on the promenade looking over the water. We had a lovely walk beforehand and worked up an appetite. I had battered fish and chip and hubby had steak pie and chips. Both meals arrived piping hot and delicious 😋 very good service.
