The food has definitely gone downhill, always order a chicken and rice box but the rice was mushy and chicken didn't taste hot. Usually on point but seems like this branch has gone downhill.

Not even worthy of the one star review. Absolutely disgusting service. Received my order today and it smelt rotten! Went back to the store to complain only to be gaslit and told it smelt fine. When I asked the server to let another staff smell it, he cunningly threw it away. The server didn’t even apologise for the poor service and his solution to the matter was to just offer a new meal. There was no regard to the journey spent or the atrocious smell of the product. If he had not thrown the food away, i would’ve presented it to the customers so they can see the disgusting products pepes are selling. Avoid the castle bromwich branch!!

The person taking order got no clue messed with order. When I tried to say them, the order is messed up ,rather than taking accepting their own mistake, giving instructions, I shouted and raised my voice. A person with long beared trying to cover his mistake and he got no maners ans try to teach me speak nicely. I have never seen this kind of customer dealing . One star I never recommend this shop for anybody. No maners how to speak ,races guy,ans just rather than accepting mistakes and trying to over clever.

First time ordering from this branch. Was very disappointed. Said would take 15mins to be ready took 30mins. No apology for the delay. Got home with my food and part of my order was missing. Went back to shop told them food was missing and they said I could be lying. Why would I lie! Was told I should have checked my order before taking it home!! Was rude. The chicken that was missing wasn't cooked from fresh..was out of spite. Very disappointed spoiled our evening meal as a family. AVOID!!!

Ok so started off with the guy that was taking our order was mumbling and couldn’t understand a word he was saying shouldn’t be front of house! Then I asked for cheese to be put on My wrap as an extra the man clearly didn’t put it through so when I questioned it some big gorilla looking guy come over and started giving verbal very unprofessional don’t recommend!!

Ordered of just eat, rang up to amend the flavour of my food which the sausage confirmed with me on the phone that he would. Food arrived well over 2 hours. It was very cold, 2 drinks were missing and the flavour was wrong on my chicken box which I returned with the driver. The driver didn't have a clue how to follow his sat nav as he kept going to the wrong destination and the guy who I spoke to needs to learn how to do his job properly. Basic instructions to amend a order its not rocket science. Management needs to speak with the front staff of that shop. Definitely not ordering from here again...waste of money.

I’ve ordered before and was all sweat! From when the new management took over , I’m waiting for the second times for more than one hour (actually it’s 1h 20min) and I’m still waiting! So …if you hungry and don’t want to wait for 2h, wille they figure out what to do…. Go and have some chips from the corner shop! It’s more safe and less stressful!

Ordered food from this pepes, got a burrito meal and a few extra sides, the food was cold and the burrito was dry, considering this establishment is overpriced for the quality of the food it was surprising that these guys still opened. Normally i visit the Alum rock branch which is amazing never have let me down, but i thought since ive moved around this area I will try this. Further more i paid extra for sauce and didnt even get mayo and the chilli was the extra hot which wasnt ordered. This place needs better management or something as food is terrible and looming at the other reviews so is the atmosphere.

My sons girlfriend and 5 year old grandson waited in here for twenty minutes as they was meeting him there for something to eat, after 20 minutes my son turned up and they ordered food, when they got the bill a comment had been added stating “free heating for those2” my son immediately challenged the person who gave them the bill but was met with a wall of silence, he then asked to see the manager, who looked at the bill, screwed it up and put it in the bin. Why had this comment been put on the receipt? Was it because my grandson is mixed race? Or something else, whatever the reason it is appalling behaviour and we won’t go there again..disgusting. Mike

My partner went to Pepe's with my son at around half four, they ordered some food and awaited my arrival as I was meeting them there after work, I get there, order some food which was mid at best, and after eating my food I noticed that on the receipt there was a comment at the top of the receipt that read and I quote, " free heating for them 2" which was a direct dig at my partner and my son. Upon reading the receipt I was absolutely appalled that event though I had just paid for food and even though my partner and my son hadn't even finished there food that they would be so rude as to make such a comment.so as I confronted the bloke who made the receipt, all he said was it was a joke, no apology, nothing. The server was called Sadiq I think, can't remember his last name but I remember he had hearing aids, will not be returning to this or any other branch of Pepe's again after this horrifying experience

Food was nice been at the gym couldn't be bothered to cook so bought chicken and rice and tried the new jerk chicken they have with it! Oh my god I love jerk but never had it so spicy like that it was over spiced couldn't really enjoy the food rinsed my drink of in seconds lol, would much prefer if wasn't so spicy I was dissapointed lol

Entire order was cold with sloppy presentation, sauxe had been spilled over 1 of the meals. 2 meals were completely wrong. There was weird taste to chicken, no manager around to take complaint up with, member of staff on phone blatantly clueless. Worst Pepes branch ever!! Ordered on Just eat but the food didnt arrive for nearly two hours. Had hungry kids waiting. I was on the phone trying to get through for over half hour with no one answering. Ended up driving there myself to see what was going on, due to my arrival they then made my food with no apology and even charged me for peri salt despite me saving on delivery and waiting 2 hours. To top it off the guy had my daughters fruit shoot in his mouth as his hands were full 🤮 , he did not see the issue when i raised it. Will never order from there again! Avoid at all costs!!!

This place could be amazing if they had the right staff. They can barely get an order correct. Out of 6 orders I’ve placed, only 2 have been correct. I’m not sure why they ask you what flavour you want your chicken to be because they must never read the order! It’s pretty much always wrong! Even when you leave a note while ordering on the app to ask them not to get your order wrong, it’s still wrong! It just ruins our meal when we get 2 hot flavoured chickens and I ordered 1 mango and lime and 1 Hot. While I can understand sometimes mistakes can happen, 4 orders wrong out of 6 orders placed is just totally unacceptable. I just refuse to order from here anymore.

Ordered through Uber Eats and the complete wrong order came. My burger XL meal with normal onion rings came as a chicken and rice box with peri peri onion rings. Rancid, dry and cold. My pepsi max came as a warm can with my meal when advertised as in a cup with ice. Not impressed. Uber eats only giving me money back in ten days and not even the full price. Not impressed. Expected my actual order to be sent out free of charge after my complaint. Will never order again.

The food is really nice, good standard, tasty and fresh. The location is decent, with parking nearby. Also good amount of seating if you want to eat in.

Yes pepes do lovely chicken but to get that meal I had to deal with the lad on counter asking me loads of questions which I found hard to understand and he was having problems hearing me due to him being hard of hearing and also I talk extremely quick when I start getting flustered which I did because all I wanted was a piece of chicken and chips..the worst of it was the price 10.90

Ordered the cheese and chicken quesadilla and it tasted terrible...they had put the burger cheese square in which was only on one half of the tortilla and the chicken was falling out the tortilla when being held.on top of that noone was picking up wen we tried calling

This is the worst Pepes branch I’ve come across. This is local so I’ve given it multiple chances but at every opportunity there has been disappointment. There has been food missing, to drinks missing, to sauces missing on every order. They’ve said they’d send someone out with missing items, no one ever came then the store shuts. Speaking of the sauces, can there anyone any more stingy than these guys?! After two dils and the sauce is gone. Never extra sauces given. Go to their competitor - Rios piri piri in Hodge Hill. They have never disappointed. Food is always beautiful. Always give extra sauces and extra wings/ strips!! They care about their custom unlike these guys.

Main go-to place. Rarely have a bad experience with pepe's. Only on one occasion the chicken was burnt, but other than that, every time I order from here, the food is top notch. Lemon and Herb + Hot. Best combo

Went with couple of the lads for a cheeky Pepes; sat in ordered the chicken tasca and 5 strips single ngl IT WAS BUSSSIN packed with FLAVOURS one of the best chicken tasca I’ve had in a while. The service was spot on; the portions was enough ngl that garlic Mayo slaps differently. 🔥🔥🔥

I have had takeout food from this restaurant many times. I must say over the last 6 months the food standard has gone down substantially. Chicken is over cooked / burnt and the food is always cold. I have always given them the benefit of the doubt. On this occasion I feel leaving a review is justifiable based on multiple orders for delivery, collection and eat in. Most recently I decided to dine in the restaurant to actually see if the food was fresh. This was a unpleasant experience as we ordered 4 items and all food was cold including the chicken and the bun was rock hard. We waited patiently for 25 minutes for an eat in order thinking the food would be fresh but it was the total opposite. I noticed more chit chat between the staff and less work going on. Overall the food standard has heavily dropped since this establishment first opened. I am really disappointed as I have given them multiple opportunities to rectify but it seems to get worse as time goes on and I am sure I am not the only one. I advise the owner to look into this immediately in regards to mainly the food standard and also train staff on simple customer service skills as it appears some staff look like they don’t want to be there otherwise you will be losing a lot of customers.

Waited 20 mins for food, was told the food would be another 5-10 mins...when i raised how this was unacceptable was then told the minimum wait for food is 20 minutes. People who had ordered after us had their order given to them. Felt ignored and wouldnt recommend coming to this branch of pepes. Ordered the food at 6.45pm. Officially got the food at 7.24pm. Restaurants cook whole meals faster than this branch of Pepe's. Maybe they should have more staff if they can't handle the demand.

Really poor customer service. An item was missing from our delivery order (which only consisted of a total of 4 items). Store agreed to send out replacement item within 15 minutes, but it actually took 30+ minutes, by which point the rest of the food was cold. Contacted the store again, who refused to send out fresh food or refund the order. The person I spoke to was also very rude.

I give them only 3stars because of the garlic sauce that is missing from those small containers. Someone has to sort that sauce out because it’s ridiculous. I am a big fan of the 28 wings we have them probably every weekend and the garlic sauce it’s a must. I wouldn’t have a problem if the sauce was free, but as long as they are charging me 50p for a small container of sauce and it says 40ml on it and if you measure it, it has 15ml with the plastic thing included. It’s ridiculous. Sort it out!

Chicken xl burger was cold, fries were cold, I did not buy it on any of the apps bought it from the shop, fish burger was burnt wish I took a photo to share on here, shops gone down hill. Never again I’d avoid it unless you want cold and over fried food.

I ordered food which was 2 xl burger meals And a fish burger meal and it had all arrived cold let alone I paid for cheese on the burgers and non of them met the payment requirements I also spoke on the phone to the the staff I asked for manager from a girl n she came back on the phone 2 seconds later pretending to be the manager then realized I knew it was the same person on the phone and gave the phone to some one else my issue was not resolved

Ordered my food specifically asking for no Mayo on my burger. Got home and found Mayo to be on the burger, so I called up and the woman answering was clueless as to who’s food it was even though my name was on the order. Then when bringing my food back to change it the woman on the counter said she didn’t hear me and then proceeded to scroll through her personal phone while I’m still trying to talk to her. I’m a loyal customer and order food from here 2 3 times a week. I normally go in and collect but after a long day at work decided to get delivery for the first time A customer that always orders the same food how can you get it wrong. Didn’t send half of my food but charged me full price. Then attempted to phone them several times only to get no reply. What a shame and a scam.

Tried ringing them for 45 minutes now but no answer. Quick enough to take your money. Robbing cowards. Avoid at all costs! Why accept orders when you can’t fulfil them?? Disgusting!!

Love the food in pepes only thing is I would like to be able to try a mixed flavouring box so I could try other flavours always go with the mango and lime as I don't want to try something and not like it! (I know thats how you experience food) but for a quick delicious meal I go with what I know, had the nachos last time and they were nice but the cheese was hard and cold by the time we got home and the sauces off the meats had turned some of the nachos at the bottom into mush which I scooped up but the texture was grainy. Normally have the rice box as a meal and never have any complaints would recommend rice boxes, and my husband enjoys the double burgers
