Pepe's Piri Piri in Bedford

The place is good and the staff at the counter AYESHA was so rude ,like we won't come here again if we see that's it's her standing at the counter , I haven't had such a bad experience from here . All was good except the counter service.

My experience was very good. Harleen took my order, understood my preferences well, and provided me with the best options.

I've been to many Pepe's stores this is 1st store I came across where you do not get a sauce with chicken and rice.. You spend £8-£9 for chicken & rice and then they charge 50p for a sauce aswell and by far the smallest portion as compared to other stores around the country.. That's Bedford Pepe's done for me..

I recently visited Pepe's Piri Piri in Bedford and overall had a great experience. The flame-grilled chicken was full of flavour and cooked just right—tender, juicy, and with that nice bit of spice that hits without being too much. I went for the chicken wrap with fries and a drink, and everything was fresh and tasty. The place was clean, and service was fairly quick during my visit. Staff were polite and kept things moving. That said, I have seen (and once experienced) some inconsistency in food quality—like slightly dry chicken or food not being as hot as it should be. There are also a few reviews out there mentioning issues with customer service, such as staff being a bit rushed or not very attentive at times. Luckily, my visit went smoothly, but I can see how it might vary depending on the time and staff. Still, Pepe’s is a good option when you’re craving grilled chicken done properly. I’ll definitely be back, but I’d love to see a bit more consistency across the board. Solid 4 stars

Thank you to the staff in Pepe's for your fast, efficient service 🤗 but some (not all) of the staff can be a bit abrupt at times with drivers 😐 I know you are busy, but please remember next time you throw the food over the counter at a driver, saying 'swipe it!' in an unfriendly, demanding tone 😵‍💫 that driver will then hand the food you have made to your customer, with a smile 🙂 and say 'enjoy your meal' 😄 There is no need to treat us so disrespectfully, we are just doing a job same as you 🤔

I wouldn’t advise anybody to eat here as it’s very unhygienic and the staff is very very rude!! This business needs looking into by trade and standards, or else closing down.

I ordered plain chicken for my diabetic son. Plain so he doesn't need to take insulin however the chicken was not Plain and now having to fight extremely high blood sugar! Not happy can't trust the place won't be eating there again!!!

Very Disappointed With The Service And Food. We Order Food Every Week From This Branch, And This Time The Food Was Very Off And Hardly Cooked, I Quickly Phoned The Branch After Driving Home For 20 Minutes And Complained To The Person Who Served Me, No One Cared And Didn’t Want To Take Any Responsibility And Said The Food Was Cooked Perfectly Fine. I Was Given An Email To Send Photos, But It’s Been A Week And No One Responded Yet. I Will Never Be Visiting Again.

Getting a bit fed up of the inconsistency with their food. When it’s good it’s sooo good but sometimes they don’t bother! I left a note for my order specifically asking for EXTRA SAUCE on the chicken as it can be dry without sauce….I collect it and it’s so dry! No sauce at all! When it’s saucy it’s perfect! Really frustrating.

Said 25minutes on the app then I checked again it said 4minutes and then it went from 4 to 15 minutes and the food I ordered was mild and I got hot and it was also very dry and the chips was a way to small portion compared to what I normally I get so I think I should get half of the money back i paid £9.50 I think I should get atleast £4.50 back as the food was not what I expected and was also very late pepes today I am very disappointed and hope to not have this conversation again thank you bye

we received wrong items we ordered chicken rice box mild with chips and you gave us the rice box however it was stupidly mistaken for loaded fries and a chicken rice box i am appalled and upset about this and i will be expecting an email replied back

the food is great. but do feel the loaded fries are abit small. for the money. as you do pay £2.99 to make your fries loaded. the chicken & rice is good value for the money.

I received my meal I was missing some of the items included. They didn’t put in the wings. Called the restaurant to send them over and they were just being difficult and inconsiderate telling me to drive and collect them while I’ve ordered online for a reason and paid delivery for a reason. Completely wrong order, some whacked it people.

Order delivered 3.5 hours from initial order called restaurant twice to cancel the order, they were most unhelpful. No option to cancel on app or talk to anyone. When it finally arrived I did not want to accept the order. I knew it had been sat under a heat lamp for 2 hours (restaurant said they couldn’t cancel as it was prepared and waiting to order 2 hours before delivered)

I went to collect my food, it was there ready on the counter waiting.. i showed my order number and they weren’t giving my order as they couldn’t find my receipt. I kept showing my order number and saying my food is there but apparently they couldn’t understand simple logic. To top matters off, i opened my food there to ensure all is included to find the sauce i paid for missing. Not ideal, food was great though.

Absolutely appalling, the whole of the order was somebody else’s went through the help enquiry as there is no just eat phone number and still have not received a refund. This is not good enough I understand mistakes happen but this is awful

Abysmal, got told when it was ready to collect that the chicken didn’t sit right on the grill, if you ask me boss man was flapping due to the heat in the kitchen no pun intended. There was more workers on break than doing the orders.

Usually my company orders food during team events from Pepe’s Piri Piri. I have tried their Chick’n’rice (hot) which is amazing. The quantity and flavour is wholesome. Their service is comparatively quick and the staff Rebeka is great with food suggestions. Highly recommend.

the food is amazing it's out favourite takeaway and our top pick for takeaway but the delivery time always changes and sometimes have waited for 1 half to 2 hours for our food. it's worth the wait and we order a little earlier now as we know it takes a long time. we are just outside bedford so this could be the reason but it's definitely worth the wait for us

I do not recommend you to go there especially if you are a delivery driver. Once you enter to get the order they tell you to look at the screen if your order is ready and if it’s ready you tell them and they say 1 minute but they take 15 minutes to get the order ready such a bad place and the workers in there are too slow when they have like 4-5 or more workers they are not working properly so always check your food when you get it and also DO NOT EAT THERE they literally take so long to get your food ready and they do not notice you about if your order is ready or no I DO NOT RECOMMEND, DO NOT EAT THERE 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Food is always taxi, but always needs a reheat when it arrives. They should find a way to keep food hot if possible

Travelling lunch and was busy but food was prepared fresh and served hot. Presentation was excellent and customer service was above bar. Would definitely recommend if in the area and after a healthy grill lunch. Thanks guys!

The burrito was so so so so good!! You don’t even have to order for extra chicken because they fill it to the brim!! The chips are so nice and always warm! The drink can come flat sometimes though BUT the burrito makes up for it!! Garlic mayo sauce is 10/10!!
