Pepe's in Watford

Just ordered from Uber Eats and wow this order was AWFUL! We ordered 2 chicken burgers 2 Chicken and rice and 1 Paneer and rice. - Chicken burgers Cold - Chicken in the boxes was beyond overcooked and chewy - Paneer burnt I called up to complain and was told they wouldn't replace my order unless I come and collect it.. I paid for Premium delivery on uber eats and now I have to go collect my new food?? I don't think so. Take away this - Don't order from this location the food and customer service is awful.

If 0 stars was possible, that would be a fairer review. Considering it’s a chicken shop, you would assume they know how to cook chicken. Absolutely cremated and tough as old boots. Ordered chicken and rice, and once again the chicken is extremely overcooked, dry and going tough. Have tried to give this Pepes a few chances and Everytime it fails. Pepes need to get in contact with this franchise and consider shutting it. Consistently the worst Pepes as always. Restaurant is always dirty, seats and tables rarely ever cleaned. An embarrassment to Pepes

Dreadful experience, food is stone cold.

Unfortunately, Worst experience ever. The food was very cold, and they delivered very late. When asked where the food was, the employee got very defensive and rude. Not recommended! We spent £60 plus and this is service we received.

Pepes Staff: BD is very thankful and happy today as you sent Hot and tasty food quickly! Please always ensure that the food goes out quickly once ready and tell the drivers to keep their car windows closed in Winter!

Prime Pittas were great, also really enjoy the large fries and sweet chilli sauce very much. Keep them coming everyday, even twice a day is great! We do not get bored of Pepes!

Pepes Staff: BD was not happy with the Prime Pittas and Fries yesterday, the Prime Pittas and Fries were not served warm enough and therefore the chicken had hardened, I suspect this was down to a slow delivery - could you send a note to explain this

Hello Pepes, food was good but as you already know BD is very busy and expects you to deliver within the hour otherwise international meetings need to be rescheduled as BD needs to eat first! Today BD's food was delivered 75 minutes after ordering!

Texan Beef Burgers and Gourmet Beef Burgers highly recommended.

Potato wedges were a tiny portion, mostly burnt and cold. Both burritos, paneer and chicken lacked the ingredients listed in the menu. We ordered a cookie dough ice cream and we received a chocolate fudge. Not really keen to order from them again.

It makes us laugh to see people say that they were sent stone-cold food! It's absolute nonsense, we know cos we order every day and have been providing Pepes with business for longer than 10 years! Never had stone cold from anybody ever!

Rang peri peri, rude staff and was not helpful with finding my order. I was told I needed to wait even though that was the reason I called. Food was not warm, the chicken pita was falling apart, with lack of taste. Poor service overall.

Stopped doing fried chicken for no apparent reason, was the best thing about the place. Grilled chicken is OK, poor service as standard.

Really good place to eat in the staff are welcoming and really polite, they always make sure to prioritise customers orders so no one waits to long, and the place hygiene is really good so I always like to eat in when I can.

I ordered chicken strip! Something similar to diced chicken came! It looked like the rest of the chicken that is at the bottom of the pan. They missed my order and the chicken was cold. And I didn't care so I wouldn't have more stress

I want money back and compensation. As well as late, they sent wrong food, drink + sauce, did not answer calls, after no contact for 1 hr, I drove there, half way I got text saying it would be late. I ordered at 18:27 and got food after 20:00

i don't know why people complain about late delivery obviously it was 50% off it will get late . i went to store to collect my order but they were really busy . my collection was late too but food was superb as always . Keep it up pepe's team . highly recommended .

My food did not come and the shops number was "busy" do not order from here. I still have not recieved compensation.

I don't think they re-check the order whilst packing it because everytime I order, they always forget 1 or 2 items, after I order meals! Then I get left with half a meal after I pay full price for it! Not really good service. 😕

I ordered my food 2 hours ago and it still hasn’t arrived. This is appalling.

Ordered at 18:40 , delivered at 20:00 , food arrived cold , had to heat it all up in the oven , the chicken from the chicken and rice box was clearly a pre made frozen pot as it was still stuck together and just placed on top of the rice , pulled it apart and the chicken was still cold in the middle , this whole dish got thrown away , wasn’t ringing for another as already took an hour and 20 for this! Terrible service , terrible meal , won’t be ordering again 👎🏻👎🏻

Waited over an hour for it to be delivered. All cold. Wrong drinks and dips. Burrito was just plain rice and few pieces of chicken no flavour. The chicken rice was plain rice with very small few pieces of chicken topped with some sort of sauce on top. Kids meal let’s not even talk about that, put a fizzy tango instead of the blackcurrant juice. Chips all into the food bin. So disappointing.

The food was cold and tasted like rubbish. Delivery driver didn't took the money and came in middle of the night to ask for money. Woke up all the house including my baby.

Food room almost 2 hours to arrive. Arrived stone cold and burnt.

Food was not great very rushed , cold we purchased 3 xl burgers they looked like kids burgers in seeded buns. No garlic dip as stated in order. Due to the offer going on they disappointed in quality of food. Not going to order again any time soon. The service was down online initially until pointed out to the shop that the orders are not going through thats when they amended and came back online, Why put the deal on and not offer the quality of food I prefer to pay full price for decent food….
