Great night out and lovely staff

The bodyguards were very subjective, while I was coming from the bathroom, someone from behind came quickly and hit me on the right hand, after that he hit me from behind and reached the support pillar of the building, offended, he started swearing at me and I didn't say anything else, I was put out in shame by the bodyguard staff after I consumed more than 50 pounds and I tried to smoothen the situation and I tried but the bodyguard staff didn't take it into account

Lovely atmosphere with a great mix of music . Friendly and pleasant staff at the door and bar . Good level of security as well

Possibly one of the best night club I've been to, the sound system is insane and my body was still pumping after I'd left. The area is great and actually makes for a brilliant night as all the bar staff were really friendly and super helpful. Also the security guys were really friendly and work hard to keep everyone safe throughout the night. All in all, it was a great night and an amazing venue and defo will be coming back. Drinks are affordable and cheap, cocktails on point served with a smile. It’s an amazing to be and met lovely people, great atmosphere, great DJ’s, music always on point and a mixture / variety of songs to keep everyone and every age dancing the whole night long, great staff. From entry to exit and very professional and friendly.

Awful made us pay for no shisha!!!! Don’t go!!!

Not a very nice experience. The positives are it’s done up quite nicely. The staff were all pretty polite and friendly. The negatives are it’s very expensive, priced like a swanky central London club. Way too few staff serving drinks. I counted 3 with not far off 80 people waiting to be served. Way more security staff than bar staff which could be good or bad depending on your outlook. Also the clientele seemed quite thuggish with some trying to control the bar area to ensure only they and their friends could get near the bar staff. Doubt i will visit again but hopefully the positives and constructive criticism lead to so some future improvement

Went to canvas this Saturday with my girlfriend and a few friends. Got there and was amazed how nice the venue was compared to other bars we had been into in the high street. Great choice of alcohol and such friendly staff. The music was on point and really made us have an amazing night. Will defo be going back again!

Booked at Canvas to celebrate my birthday. We all had the most amazing night. Music was great, atmosphere was on point, service was outstanding, communication for booking was easy and fast, drinks were yummy, great pricing. The staff and manager went above and beyond to give us the best night. Celebrated in style. Will be booking this place in future for other celebrations. 100% recommend :)

Has potential but was empty, even with an event. The bar staff was new and untrained or completely rude! The security then also matched rudeness and antagonised the situation when finally take exception to having bar staffed being so rude all night.

Came here for a night out on 2 occasions. Friendly staff, decent music, but it's an empty night club, I think the bar has potential to be good if it were better promoted or had promoted event nights.

Not much choice of non alcoholic drinks for those that don't drink or are driving. Air conditioning not working on a hot summer night.

Absolutely disgusting place, the security treated us awful myself and my friend (two young girls) were assaulted by them, I would never go back to such a vile place. The way we were treated is absolutely unacceptable and I will be making a formal complaint.

I always believe in giving businesses a second chance. First time I’ve been, a drunk customer was queueing and dropped £10. The security personnel bent down and took the amount. I challenged him and he denied it, that was over two years ago. My experience in the club was underwhelming and I didn’t rush back. Anyways, date of second visit - 23 December 2022 , we ended up here because one of our party of 5 did not carry his ID. They let us in (without his ID), before charging us £10 each! The place was empty, drinks are over priced and there was so much security at this place it made us think that trouble is expected? .. Not a good feeling. Dance floor was not exciting. We would not be setting foot in this place ever again. Save your yourself £10 - there is not much going on behind those frosted glasses!

No option to mark 0 so it's 1 star. During daytime, for just having a sheesha in open air, you need to give your id and any of you who don't have it, pay £5 and it's good to go! Let's say under ages are illegal, does paying £5 make it legal? 😏😏

We wanted to smoke a shisha at 1 am and one of the guards told us to get in, it's £5 each (6of us) and "yes of course there's shisha, get in" we got in and apparently "shisha has been cancelled by the council" and can't sell any, got back to the same guard and he denied saying what he said earlier. He said "you asked if it's shisha place - yes, can we sell shisha? -no" incredibly false place, awful experience, not recommending anyone to go there

Amazing Vibe!It'S Open Till Late!

Went to this place last weekend. This is for the bar section downstairs only. The person/owner working is so rude. He has no manners whatsoever and I have no idea why he is working in the hospitality sector. Showing his frustration at customers when his staff according to him are running late. No people skills or how to be polite about not being open. Avoid this place if you want a disappointing start to your evening. One star only because it does not allow me to give a Zero star!!!

Honestly, I said to my friends it's the worst sheesha place i have ever been to. Firstly the sheeaha is £30. Most expensive sheesha I ever had. Average price is £18 to £22. Not ventilated enough upstairs. Felt suffocated and they put countdown on the big screen for the whole time we were there. Great Not !!!

I absolutely loved it here. I went on a Saturday with my boyfriend. The service was amazing, the team were very welcoming, the shisha was actually really good!!! So smooth!! Food was 10/10. Music was on point. I would definitely come back again. Thank you for an amazing night guys X

I found Canvas on a Google search but don't let the lack of reviews stop you from booking. I booked a table at this lounge for the AJ fight and for a date night with my husband as we didn't want to just watch the fight at home ( I actually forgot how busy it would be given that was AJ's hometown!) and messaged via the google messenger. I received a response from Abid the manager in less than the expected 15 minutes and rather than book the table myself, he helped me do it instead. The location is in the heart of Watford Parade. Upon arrival, you are to pay an entrance fee of £10 which I was made aware of before booking and the only terms of the booking is that you have 90 minutes on the table and have to pay for Shisha at £35 between 2 people. Saying that, after the fight, we were not forced off the table and both management and staff were just very much chilled out. The staff are lovely and were very accommodating, they were able to make me a nice fresh and sweet shisha that was not too strong. I also bought a mixed grill which was delicious. The drinks are fairly priced too. There is a club downstairs which I believe you can access after the shisha lounge but in my older age, we went home! Will definitely be back again. Absolutely disgraceful. Group of 7 from 2 households told can't sit together yet two groups of 8 clearly friends sitting together with no questions. Management team despicable. Only go here if you are under 21 and female. Our server was wonderful can't remember her name but it begun with a D she was so helpful and went above and beyond. But rest of the the team and the management team are aggressive, unhelpful and clearly have no concept of covid regulations letting people they fancy break rules. Clearly homophobic and judgemental too

Canvas Shisha Lounge helped me celebrate my birthday at their venue and they absolutely smashed it! They went above and beyond to make sure my guests were looked after. Best quality shisha with amazing food and desserts. Great service, thank you guys!

Nice clean trendy looking but the price for the shisha is high in my eyes if it was around the £15 mark it be good i think that's where the shisha price is for me. But its nice staff girl is sweet and nice. Thats only reason I've given it a 4 star cos of the price. I havent tried there food out so maybe next time I can do that see how that goes.

The staff was poor! So disappointed I have to wait for a shisha half an hour even I asked them several times ! The toilet was dirty, only one for more then 100 customers! I will never go there!

If it wasnt for the extremely slow service and the shisha this place would have got 5 stars. Imagine waiting a hour for 1 shisha Or imagine waiting another hour for food? Placed a very large order for a birthday party. And couldn't have been more pleased. The staff and the manager was so helpful and friendly and quick to answer any queries I had. The food arrived on time and was hot and well packed and presented. The food OMG was litteraly the best Lebanese food I have ever had,so tasty and full of flavour. The portion sizes were big and the food was so fresh and of the highest quality. Thank you Canvas Shisha for making the party go down a treat. Thank you for all the efficiency and help. 10/10

Went here with some pals, friend asked for shot & a double to which we were over charge so we questioned it and it was rectified. No harm done. Asked for a shot & got given water. Baring in mind I wasnt drunk in the slightest. We got kicked out as we asked to speak to the manager...no justification as to why. Disgusting unprofessional men & wouldn't go here with just girl pals either as they'll pry on you.

Came in by chance but have now become a regular. Nice chilled out vibe and customer service is excellent. The shisha are of top quality and lasts ages.

The downstairs of canvas was heaving the upstairs had a closed bar and nobody up there - with the exception of those using it for a toilet. The club bouncers are extremely friendly and will probably be more than likely to try and go home with you. Drink glasses are dirty as you would expect for a bar in Watford. RnB, Hip Hop and Tribal Tunes of the moment playing to a packed out dance floor.

Shisha lounge upstairs is incredible and the shisha itself is absolutely on point. The club downstairs for music (if you like RnB / Hip Hop) is probably the best in town. I went for a mates birthday and the manager looked after us, definitely worth checking out.

This place would have been " ok " if the staff had manners. This place is under new management and the main man doesnt seem to have a clue about anything at all! The other staff member which is a youngish guy is soo cocky and thinks he knows everything but so unhelpful, even when setting up for a private party. Theyve employed a polish speaking cleaner who also needs signing but noones decided to learn how to sign... At the end of a lovely night the management decided to get aggressive and rude over using a toilet before leaving in addition to this told me friends to hurry up ad f*****g leave. The only plus side is no deposit needs to be paid to hire the hall for a party!
