Pepes is Pepes, so the food was decent. However, the staff, not so much. The place closes at 10.45. I called at 10pm to place an order for pick up. THey mentioned they were not taking order over the phone anymore and I had to place an order on the app. Tried the app and the app was no longer accepting order also. I had to then pop in to the location to order. WHen I went in, staff were extremely glum, they did not want to be there. Ordered, food took 15 minutes. My overall issue was, If the staff do not want ot be there, then quit, dont make life hard for customers when the closing times are clearly advertised.

I went there at 10:20. The restaurant closes at 10:45 as mentioned on website and Google maps but they didn't take the order saying it's closed. This depicts high level of un-professionalism.

Such a good place to have a good food especially with family. The foods are good and delicious.

A good place for a quick grab. They have a large variety of chicken items which could be customised at various spice levels similar to what you get at Nando's. My fav is Chicken and Rice worth £8. The quantity is quite good for the money. Sometimes there may be a delay as they will be quite busy during peak lunch times. Will definitely recommend if you like spicy food.

The food is an embarrassment. The chicken is undercooked, lacks flavour and the sauces are just watery. We tried full chicken mango and lemon&herb, both were appalling quality. I ordered tango zero and I was given original tango. Please save your pennies and order somewhere else.

I’m one the most regular Customer for this Pepe’s Particularly since 2019. I’ve seen their ups and downs in Service since then. But what encouraged me to write my First review in all those years is the New Manager Tayab who is not only extremely efficient yet very Friendly and Courteous towards customers. Its his Professionalism which is on display on numerous of occasions where I’ve witnessed he solved any of my or customer’s issue efficiently. Food has been fresh and consistent in his management throughout. Even if he is at the store or not.

paid 40% extra to pre order on justeat rather than order from a branch further away on ubereats as one person needs to eat at certain times due to health issues - delivery said 1105-1215 and turned up after 1230

Food was cold, ended up driving and collecting it myself. Called the shop to collect and was met by a very food gentleman on the other end. Same in the shop.

Shocking service…. Never delivered… when phoned shop just said not my problem very rude on the phone…. Want be ordering from them again…

Delivery driver was so rude, literally sat in the car park for ten minutes messaging me on the app trying to tell me he can’t come in the flat block it’s just pure laziness and then hands me my food doesn’t say a word

Food is top quality, chicken n rice box is the highlight, chicken is always freshly grilled, never had a bad meal here

Got the order wrong, missed two large chips. The burgers were Hot (Spice) instead of mild. Wrong drinks given. I love Pepes so this is disappointing especially when you order over £35 worth of food. First time at the Stockport one so maybe it’s just them that is incompetent as it’s always been fine at others.

Just spoke to a person on phone 15:52, he was so rude, he didn’t have any manners how to speak to a customer! Plus he shut the phone, not happy being a regular customer, I was only trying to explain something about the order I placed

They got the Just Eat order completely wrong and then told us to get a refund from Just eat even though they’d sent us Hot burgers and missed out a large chips. No offer to sort it out in anyway. £35 worth of food we ordered and couldn’t eat half due to the staff at Pepes incompetence.

Order didn’t Evan come havnt dropped it off I gave them a new adress to order it to at the shop when he picked up my food he said he carnt change the adress unless I give him my order code so I gave him my code and he hasn’t Evan delivered

The bun on the burger was stale

My food was cooked for over an hour as I spoke to the restaurant because my order got delayed over an hour the restaurant said they was just waiting for a driver as the foods ready my food got delivered 1 hour and 20 minutes after that call my food got delivered absolutely stone cold un edible I have already reported this matter and still no refund or anything this isn’t acceptable £35 down the drain for something we couldn’t eat this needs sorting asap!!!!

Had the brown stew chicken rice and peas with dumpling was very nice

Food was awful. Cold, chicken was dry and hard. rice was dry. No sauce on the chicken or rice when there usually is. Chips under cooked Sauce pots barely filled. Terrible will never order from this branch again.

Not the best experience, staff is wearing joggers and slippers and took ages, nahhh, not the best.

Worst burger meal tasteless Burger paper thin patty. All the sauce had spilled inside the bag

Absolute abysmal service, ordered through Uber eats, after 1.5 hours nothing, called the restaurant, claimed we had no order and they couldn’t help and to get Uber to deal with it. Then hung up on me and ignored my calls.

Always order the chicken wrap which is amazing. My sister had a chicken burger and I’ve honestly never seen anything so small. We had to check that we didn’t order a kids meal. Didn’t expect that from Pepes

I ordered through deliveroo. Rice box was missing. Rang the restaurant, he apologised and said he has no driver so he cant do anything about it. He promised he would give me 2 rice boxes if i come to collect. I went to collect from them and only gave 1 rice box. Wont be ordering ahainy

The chicken burger was small but delicious same with the chips small portion but delicious. The place is relatively new . The pepsi tasted like fizzy water probably mixed-up with water .I might go again because the food tasted good:)

We travelled quite a distance to try the food from here. It was a nice meal. Whilst the chk and rice box is small. This small box packs a lot of food surprisingly. The chips were nice and the chicken burgers were tasty. Nice, clean and value for your money.

Only the Withington branch is worth ordering from. These guys are useless and shocking service. Avoid this place at all costs.

I’ve been always to Withington branch the staff there are amazing But in stockport branch are rood and bad service very slow they need a good management maybe they need to go to learn from Withington place

Dine in | £20–30 Food was tasty and prepared in timely manner. The person on till must be very tired,looked very down and lack of smile or any enthusiasm.I will suggest give them proper breaks. I will still give 5 starts as food was outstanding.

Do NOT ORDER THE CHICKEN AND RICE BOX!!! First of all the amount you get for the price is daylight robbery, secondly ive ordered the chicken and rice 4 times, out of 2 of those times on seperate occasions i have gotten violently ill, my friend who i was with also had to go to the doctors and the only link was The chicken and rice, everything else ive had is pretty good but i wouldn't even risk it again with the chicken n rice box.

I wouldn’t even rate it 1 star travelled 20 minutes to get the food picked it up and the sauces lid wasn’t even closed properly fell all over the waters so had no sauces to go with the food asked for peri salt no peri salt whatsoever and got chicken and rice box it was more boiled rice than anything in that box not mixed whatsoever so pretty disappointing wouldn’t dare go back to this branch

Went in with my kiddo and it was underwhelming. My sandwich had chewy bread and the size was tiny for the price. Chicken and rice bowl was okay... Lots of rice and flavour is lost half way through though. Fries were fine. First and last visit.

So as I go to order the guy on till burps and doesn’t say excuse me or anything else. I ordered a single chicken burger it took 15 mins for it and it wasn’t even busy and also to make the 15 minute wait even worse the place stank of pure sewage. Never again

I don’t feel like I’m eating from Pepe’s today. The food quality is not good. It’s doesn’t feel like fresh and hot. And the chicken is not tender and juicy it’s hard.

Tried three times due to convenient location. The service can best be described as resentful, portion sizes sorrowful (for the price), the cooking is below average (burnt chips) but the flavours are decent and the place looks clean. The prices are high for what you get, and don't get in terms of service - £8.50 for five small wings and a small chips without any sauce. I hope the staff are treated well but I suspect not given the general feeling of sadness you get when visiting.

I didn't get the extra garlic sauce that I had ordered. Having to ration on one between two and lose out on money spent!

I am a loyal customer to many of the other stores and have never been more disappointed than I am now. Ordered for delivery at 9pm on a Sunday, food was supposed to arrive at 9:40pm. I didn’t receive my food until 10:20pm, 40 minutes after it was supposed to arrive. Not only was the order late but every single item of food was stone cold. Tried microwaving but this only made the food taste worse and ended up throwing it all all away (£30 worth). As well as the food being cold I believe the portion size is vastly smaller than what I have received from other stores. Will not be using this store again and will also recommend people I know not order from here as well.
