Pepe's in Croydon

Foods always tasty. Always get the XL and wrap. We forgot our drinks and they called us straight away.

I ordered the chicken box and rice with the pita bread and chips when it came the bag was so oily that the bag broke and also the box broken inside, I managed to scrape a bit off and I ate some of it and it taste absolutely foul. The chicken is burnt also rice taste so flipping oily I can’t eat it cause it so oily and the chips were cold as well. I can’t even enjoy the food. I have ordered from different Pepes before and I have never ever tasted the most Oil rice and the most burnt chicken, cold chips. I have ordered from this place a couple of times and I had Dips literally pop out and literally spill over the box and I have have to to call Uber to complain about this. I’m sick and tired of it and this is just a snap because the standard in this place has gone down so So bad, I have to order something else because I can’t eat it.

Place not looked after properly. Staff are not helpful, and otheir restaurants give NHL discounts, and they put websites to advertise, but this store doesn’t give.

Quite nice fajita chicken wrap. I was watching the guy make it, and he dropped the wrap on the floor. He then made a brand new one from scratch even though he didn't know I was watching him. Credit to them for that - a lot of places round here would have just served it anyway. So, I did have to wait a little bit longer but actually I'm glad that I did!

I order grilled wings … come cold and be has red soot may looks raw with £12,16 ..!! 5 peace’s of wings ..!! Not chips or salad at all … I can’t believe that … don’t recommend that

No sauce no flavour less quantity of chicken even am loyal customer am ordering past 2 years I called every time after made an order and I asked for Quantity of chicken and piri salt but they said we can’t exceed our Quality and quantity…..where is quality where is quantity. I refer to avoid Pepe food. Staff is really rude as well they don’t care at all.

Purchased the ‘Prime Pitta’. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed with what I received. To my dismay this was the complete opposite of a prime meal. The chicken was undercooked (the pink on the chicken was visible) and so I had to separate the cooked and uncooked chicken. The pitta itself was very deceiving, it had the thickness of an A4 sheet of paper. I would not recommend eating here to anyone based upon my experience.

Just had an order delivered from here for the first time, it will be the last time. First of all I noticed part of the order was missing... But the main issue was how ridiculously expensive it is for what I got. I paid £21.20 for 4 wings, a very small chicken burger, and 2 chili cheese bites. The chicken burger was called "The XL chicken burger" and it is absolutely tiny. Was genuinely shocked. The overall quality was just very poor, and considering the cost it's absolutely baffling. Never again.

Bought wings and chips. Food was disgusting no flavour cold wings still with hairs on it. Mad me sick. Man behind the counter was so rude. Never in my life have I had such disgusting food. Please close this place down.

Food was missing and when we called they told us to order again and that there’s nothing they can do. The remaining food was cold. Not good.

I have tried this pepes quite a few times, even asking specifically to make chicken well done its always uncooked. And the rice are never fresh. Very bad Experience.

Don't bother with the paneer/veggie options. Some pepe's know how to cook it, this one doesn't. Burnt on the outside, uncooked on the inside.

£18.99 for a combo meal on just eat which consists of 1/2 chicken and 3 wings and two chips??? You got to be kidding especially as I've been getting burnt and dry food lately you want to increase the price? Ordering regularly from this place for almost 4 years this is hugely disrespectful to be setting such high prices. Your pepes app doesn't even work for this branch so all that's left is to pay these ridiculous and daylight robbery prices if I was to have dry burnt food delivered.

I had a worst experience at Pepe’s they gave us to eat raw marination at it unbearable to eat. I am never gonna go again. Like never. It’s better to go at Nando’s than Pepe’s.

The best chicken places around. They serve the best peri peri chicken and the most delicious chicken with rice. The platter prices are amazing. Most importantly they are 100% Halal. The only reason I am giving them 4 instead of 5 out of 5, the spiciness of the food is always changing. I would order everything Extra Hot and sometimes it turns out exactly how I want it, and some other times it would so hot that I can’t get myself to eat it. That lead me to settle for ordering my food Hot, they get it sometimes as hot as I want it, and sometimes not hot enough but at least I can manage with that. Overall, would definitely recommend.

Ordered via the Popeys app for Croydon store. After paying, email advised "pending acceptance" from store. Waited 30 minutes, no email no answer on phone. 55 mins notification to say order rejected. Absolutely appalling. Never again.

When I used to work in Croydon I did on rare occasions go to these shops that do Peri Peri Chicken, but the best one I came across was Pepe's. It's such a shame that there isn't any of them in Bromley, but I think Pepe's would be a great addition to the area. The food is great and so is the service. Great job guys.

2 hours waiting for the delivery so far and I didn’t get it yet. Called the shop 30 minutes ago and they told me to wait 30 minutes because it was on its way… well, I’m still waiting. They are not going to have my money any other occasion more, nope, nope.

I ordered a family deal and requested the chicken to be 1/2 mild and 1/2 extra hot. It wasnt done, even though the requestwas shown on the receipt. They also put all the chicken in one bag. Why would l request mild and hot chicken to be placed in the same bag?The chicken didn't have any sauce on it, it was dry and lacked any spice. I've had better PePe's and unfortunately, this one didn't make the standard.

Very poor service by the staff. They don’t even say hi,hello. They don’t even ask what do you want to have. They just stand there and we should ask them. Can you please give me this and that , above that they don’t bother to give any estimated time for preparation. We have ask when can I get my food I paid for, then they will try to give some time. No basic respect to the customers. hygiene is zero. I can see dust and food particles and sauce in the wall. They are really very rude. Customer set rating is ZERO.👎🏻

Had the rice box meal many times from different pepe's and was amazing, this one... i threw it up within half hour of eating it, tried to get a refund as i took 2 forkfuls and my partner had 2 bites out her burger and was horrid. The smell was rank and the chicken was disgusting, £23 spent and didnt get a penny back. Believe dont order from here

Very disappointed. I ordered a whole peri peri chicken last night. I always order the peri peri chicken from them. However, from midnight into this morning I've had stomach cramps, diarrhea and upset stomach. Had to get some over the counter drugs this morning. Still feeling sick. I'm throwing away the rest that I have in the fridge. What a waste of my money. 🤢🤢🤢

Do not order from this place unless you want to cook at home again to fulfil your appetite. The wings were so small not even my baby would be full after eating them. Overpriced and not worth it, won’t be ordering from here again.

Food taste is not bad but the Price is very high. In the beginning prices were ok but now the price of any item is high. For a regular fillet or grill burger meal it has going more than £7.80 One of the most expensive chicken shop in Croydon. Price vice not good at all.

Third time this has happened, making me wait over half hour so they can do their delivery orders first, and then give me the wrong order. Unacceptable. Never going back to this place again.

Ordered the wings and chips through Uber Eats. Very disappointed with the size of wings for that price as they were tiny! The chicken rice box tasted ok but not that great. I feel it wasn't worth it for the price of the food. I didn't order from them for years. Not going to order from them again.

The lemon wings and box rice is yummy. I tried the Greenwich branch and was happy to know Croydon has a branch.

Food was good, you only get grill / peri peri chicken here. I felt bit expensive compared to other shops. You can try here once, they give really good garlic Mayo.

Food is good. I order from here often. Service is quick and staff are responsive. The eat in area is also good. The location is central and very near to George Street Tram stop.

If you want a taste of Peri peri I suggest Pepe cause the food and chips are good and the sauce and the service is good do want to go there again

If you want a burrito that's fully loaded then come here I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Great place to have lunch or dinner. We visited from outside and had a family lunch for 5 for reasonable prices. The French fries were very tasty and yummy compared to similar competitors in my opinion. You can't go wrong when you looking for cheap family meals that taste delicious.

Abysmal food and i am shocked..chicken burger was cold,chicken wings tastless and also cold and has been reheated with no sauce and same with the grilled chicken cold and tasteless.We complained but they didn't give a hoot and you have to repeat everything 3 or 4 times as comprehension of English is no existent.
