The food is always good and flavourful. I always come here with my friends or order it online. However what really annoys me is the staff, they seem to not care about anyone’s order. They also love to take their time with the food which is also very irritating

To begin with the food, it was good to an extent. What I mean by that is, it is nice for the first few bites but it makes you start to feel sick after you really get into it. Not sure whether that’s something in their sauce or just in their food but it’s not a great feeling. The service was alright, not the best but not the worst either. Waited around 2 minutes for the person to put peri salt on my fries although it’s a 10 second job. The atmosphere is nothing special, it all smells of Piri chicken but that’s obviously what you’d expect. The seating is a bit crammed and seems slightly old; they could do with a renovation or refurbish of the furniture. Overall, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this to anyone but it’s alright. Mediocre rating, not too bad but not good either.

One of the best places to visit in nottingham. Great service on Christmas day. The cashiers and the other staff were very professional. Food taste and quality was excellent. Enjoyed being here. Highly recommended.

Pepes Nottingham is Tasteless, low quality,low quantity,high prices as compared to other pepes peri peri . Staff focus on everything except their work and making food tasty, I have tried Burton , Birmingham and leister all were awesome but this one is insane and tasteless.

I’ve come to this Pepe’s So many times and payed £3 for extra chicken and not received it. This is my forth time and every other time the staff usually apologise and give me the chicken I payed for however today the staff told me I was wrong about the chicken I received even though my chicken & rice box appearing the exact same as my friends who got it with out extra chicken. I will not be coming again as someone who used to be such a regular customer

I have really liked this place but after so many experiences I feel compelled to write a review. The staff seem to be on their own thing and not paying attention at all. I asked for a meal and got just the item. They also prepared my takeaway order and kept it on the shelf despite requesting to prepare it fresh while leaving. This is just inexplicable behaviour from the restaurant franchise.

Chicken and mango flavour rice is amazing.

I ordered a rice box, mixed flavour extra hot and mango and lime, they gave me plain dry chicken. I paid £15 including extra for the mixed flavours which I never received. I called them but they were so rude over the phone and very uncooperative. They agreed to refund me if I come in the shop within 2 weeks. I went in the first week and I was dismissed and disrespected by them and they said “i am not giving you a refund, come and ask the person you spoke to” I was left feeling very humiliated and degraded.

I've always enjoyed Pepe's, but I was disappointed during my visit to the Nottingham branch. The price of my regular order was noticeably higher compared to the Leicester branch. In my understanding, prices should be consistent across all locations, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. It's frustrating to pay more for the same order, and I hope this inconsistency is addressed.

Staff at the payment counter doesn't follow customer instruction about any customization. And, if you ask why you made a mistake then their kitchen staff tell you that they followed whatever you said very confidently instead of accepting their mistake. I’m in Nottingham for a few days, so, I’m going to be reviewing a few of their restaurants. This shop is nearby and halal, so I I thought let’s try this shop out and have heard of the pepes hype! I ordered a chicken xl burger and a pepes rice box. The chicken XL burger was 10/10 full of sauce very good size, and amazingly tasty! The pepes rice box on the other hand I think is quite over rated, my mums cooking is better 😅 Overall, do give pepes a try!

My friend and I visited Pepe’s tonight in this outlet , the staff was really rude and the service was really bad . Am a waitress myself and this is not the way I treat my customers . The staff , she could have been more polite . Overall a really bad service.

It's my first time trying this takeaway. Very bad presentation, I ordered grilled chicken, came in paper bags, not in takeaway dishes as normal if I order from any place. Truly very disgusting, I do not recommend this place at all and must the council check his hygiene for health and safety. I ordered food from pepes today and it was a collection order. And while eating my Paneer Burrito, I found a plastic string half through the burrito! I went back and they have me a free replacement burrito with an extra side of chips as well. Thanks to the chef, Rajat.

Me and my siblings ordered food to eat in at Pepe's. Unfortunately, despite conveying numerous time we'd like a separate tray and she said okay, our request was ignored. The service was so poor. I definitely wouldn't be eating here again.

Was hungry so decided to get pepes little did I know when I walked through the door I entered a death trap, bossman tried killing me with the peri salt I chocked and was about to suffocate, the chicken was alright but it looked like bossman had puked on it.

I wish we had one of these in America! Piri piri chicken over spicy rice with a side of piri piri chips! Amazing! The spicy dust on the fries has this spicy citrusy kick that is amazing! I couldn't stop talking about this place. If I ever visit Nottingham again, this will be one of my stops.

I’ve been eating here for 2 years and never had any complaints but I ordered from Uber eats recently and the fries were very oily and stale almost like they had been re-fried and I had at least 4 bristles in my food. I called pepes to complain after I thought I had hair in my rice, I didn’t complain immediately after the fries cause I didn’t want to be difficult but the rice did it for me. They informed me that sometimes the bristles from the brush they use to apply sauce fall out and they usually pick it out but they were very busy so didn’t bother. Why don’t they just stop using the brushes instead of picking out bristles from the food? The manager offered to give me a free meal on them next time I came around but I’m not eating here again. The way they so casually mentioned that they pick out stuff from our food disgusted me. For the fries, they said that they were trying out a new brand that is why it turned out the way it did but I don’t buy it. They were polite and apologetic about the whole thing and quick to offer a solution but that still doesn’t excuse the unhygienic way they’re making the food.

Ordered a Family Platter FROM SNIENTON DALE BRANCH and extra Strips for over £25.00. I came all the way from Aspley and got home with items missing from my order. Especially 2x Large chips and my kids love chips. It's even too far to go back there and collect. Definately did not expect such poor standards from a Big name franchise. Been coming here for four years, currently sat in Pepes whilst writing, and this has got to be the worst experience I’ve ever had, twice you got the chick n rice order wrong, 1x mild 1x mango lime, nope you give us both lemon and herb which was wrong then i saw the chef argue with the server saying I ordered wrong!!!, five minutes later you bring over lemon and herb and medium….seriously guys sort it out your better then this

Ordered food and food was suppose to be delivered by Uber eats. The food never came after paying £27.09 when checking on the delivery status the good was left on top of a yellow bin at Queen's Medical Centre a hospital. I was not called to say the driver was out side. Pepes chicken is refusing to refund they are saying it's the drivers fault. I have the driver's name but no mobile number what a service. This is so bad

I ordered the half chicken with the "mild" sauce and I loved it, you can tell that it is a grilled chicken in the flavor. My opinion is that it is better in flavor than others! I have returned and it does not disappoint! The service is also excellent, I have no complaints!

Me and my family previously encountered a bunch of problems with this place, I even left a review which I deleted because of the near perfect service I experienced at this store today for dinner. The food was beyond amazing and super saucy, I asked for the chicken to be well done and they delivered it, the fries were warm and crunchy, I was amazed by how well the lady at the front of house was managing stuff, she was handling a huge crowd of people with a constant smile. Definitely recomend this place to everyone.

I ordered a quesadilla extra hot and the flavor was not even there it was also extremely oily it was not wrapped just throw onto a a tortilla and folded once it’s complete outrages when you pay these high prices for food which doesn’t meet the standard of what you’re paying.

Awful and Burnt! Pepe’s in an amazing brand; as a food blogger I have travelled to almost every branch in the UK. This has been so far the one & only outlet which has been serving food poorly. Perhaps the staff were dodgy enough to provide burnt chicken in an unclean grill that had soot particles left all over the chicken pieces. (Inspite of getting it replaced)

Consistently gets basic orders wrong. We always order fries with “No Piri Piri Salt” as it’s too strong for our tastes and just prefer regular fries. Last 3 orders the fries have been drowned in Piri Piri salt that even a Piri Piri fanatic would struggle with. Suggest ordering else where as what shows up is pot luck. Thankfully Deliveroo refunded all 3 orders. Will not be doing business any more as the food waste here is terrible.

Totally awfull! Worst taste. ! The rice and chicken exrra hot we ordered was of no taste. No sauce in chicken. Just very dry chicken and rice. I don't know who prepared it and in what mind set. When we called to report this, the lady adviced to bring back and get a new one. After we reached home. Asked to refund my money and they said no. Very rude. Totally upset and money wasted. Delivered our meal to the wrong house and when we rang up they told us it had been delivered and were very argumentative. I have a feeling if a man had called they would not have been spoken to in such a rude manner. Was genuinely shocked at how poor the service was and upset how we were spoken to. Best pepes to go in Nottingham. They are the quickest and give the most food, they fill it to the top, out of all the Pepe's in Nottingham. Not like the cheapskate owners at the Beeston Pepe's.

Today I have made an order, that's '' Family meal 1''which costed approx £11 and by mistake the lady placed the order as she added 2 more chips (even thought the meal included 2 portion of chips with the meal). Finally, I chocked they gave me the money back and they said You cannot make the order again with No reason and they fired me from the restaurant! This happed at 2.30 pm in City centre, Nottingham. Quality always varies it’s never constant whenever I pay for extra sauce on rice I never get it. Delivery is even worse. Not recommended at all, the one in Seinaton Dale is much better.

My partner went to Pepe's a long time ago and him and his friend constantly said 'go to pepes'. As this one was just down the road we had to go. Twice I went, the first was great, it's like nandos crossed with 3am food places mixed together. Second time, the chicken had some veins and black in it, which was abit disappointing, but the chips are fab!

Placed an order via Deliveroo for the first time. Order was placed at 7:42pm in the evening. Expected delivery time was 8:15pm. Its now 8:37pm and expected deliver is showing 9pm and food is still being prepared and the clock continues to be pushed forward. I've not called 9 times and the line is busy. They clearly taken the phone off the hook.

I had the worst experience ever. The price you pay for the food is not worth. We had taken 2 chicken and rice extra hot. This is not my first visit so i asked till cashier can you make it saucy. The manager asked to charge extra for 20p. I had paid that as well but still they have not bothered to add the sauce on the chicken. I would like to report this and would not recommend anyone to eat at this store. I think the management need to understand customers concerns and not be greedy for money. I would recommend the other pepes peri peri in the nottingham.

Totally surprised by the chicken wrap. Pretty well the best I've tasted. Moist tender inside, crispy outside. Just the right spice. The peri peri chips are yummy. Plus they're bustling around cleaning the entire time. Recommended

They make the chick and rice so dry and worst. I asked to make it saucy but still they it tastes so bland. The garlic dips are so bad it is full of water. I would not recommend you to eat here rather try the other pepes in seninton thats decent and dont do all this they do give proper food to the price you pay.

Was made to wait 40 minutes for a simple chicken ceasar salad. I politely asked the worker once how long it'd be after 30 minutes had passed and I had to get back to work, only to be told "speak to the manager if you have a complaint". Well when I requested the manager, he greeted me with verbal abuse, effing and blinding saying they're inundated with justeat orders and I had to wait! Charming! Needless to say I won't be going back there despite the food being absolutely delicious, top marks for that but customer service is non existent
