Normalmente no dejes reseñas. Tuvimos una excelente comida. Gran calidad que fue consistente en todos nuestros platos. Excelente servicio de Chris y el equipo. Bien hecho a todos.

Disfruté de este bonito restaurante italiano. El ambiente interior era reconfortante. Disfrutamos de las medias porciones de la pizza de verduras y pasta picante. La calidad era sólida, pero no me quedé impresionado. El queso en pizza era fresco, pero personalmente prefiero una corteza más crujiente. En general, una buena opción para una comida con personal servicial.

Ormai esausti da una settimana di cibo spazzatura abbiamo cercato su internet un locale italiano (gestito da italiani veri) e ci siamo trovati molto bene. Il locale è molto carino e pulito. Mentre aspettavamo la carbonara e la parmigiana di melanzane (lo so siamo stati coraggiosi :-)) ci siamo rifatti gli occhi con le pizze che arrivavano negli altri tavoli e l'aspetto era molto molto invitante. C'è anche la possibilità di smezzare le porzioni prendendo una mezza pizza con una mezza porzione di pasta. Comunque la carbonara era ottima e abbondante e la parmigiana super! Prezzo nella media dei locali scozzesi. Per un italiano molto alti ma qui è la normalità. Il servizio buono, se non parlate inglese c'è un gentile cameriere pugliese che vi da una mano. Unico consiglio che mi sento di dare per migliorare il servizio è quello di mettere una tovaglietta di carta o cambiare il verso dei bicchieri sul tavolo. Abbiamo notato che i tavoli vengono puliti con la spugna, non vengono asciugati e i bicchieri vengono messi sul tavolo a testa in giù.

Pasamos por este restaurante después de un largo paseo en el Dean Village y Leith. El restaurante era pequeño pero decorado con buen gusto, el servicio era rápido. Me encantó su pasta y ñoquis - ambos eran de sabor muy único. Un montón de buenas opciones para los niños, especialmente la opción de mitad pasta mitad pizza.

First time visiting this beautiful family run Italian Restaurant in Stockbridge. Absolutely faultless from start to finish, lovely atmosphere inside with a few tables outside as well. Party of 9 who all struggled, but managed to just about finish the very generous portions. I highly recommend the Tagliatelle Papalina, the finest plate of pasta i have had for a long time. Service was exemplary and we will definitely be back soon.

Darling Italian restaurant with very authentic food. We had pasta with a creamy tomato sausage sauce and the Pepe Nero pizza. Both were delicious. Highly recommend.

A wonderful family restaurant in the heart of Stockbridge. We had (another!) wonderful meal, delicious food and excellent service. Always try the specials, never disappointed. They serve delicious traditional Italian food with an excellent wine list. Perfect for families. 10/10

One of the most remarkable Italian dinning experiences we have ever had!!!! The food is so fresh and infused not only with top quality ingredients but also with... Love!!!! The service in this family run restaurant is impeccable and the hosts were so friendly and gracious in the attention we received. I would highly recommend Peppenero for your dinning destination the next time you are in the Stockbridge area of Edinburgh!!! Oh and as a New Yorker I am especially demanding regarding Italian food... Peppenero went way beyond my expectations!!!!!!! Also so very very reasonable prices!!!

What a great restaurant! Food was amazing, I decided on half and half and pizza and pasta were both delicious. Another of the party had the risotto and thought it was excellent. The waiter who served us was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back.

Had a fantastic experience at Pepe Nero ! Relaxed calm environment. The food was authentic Italian . We had pizza and pasta . Was served promptly and the food tasted delicious . They had a good range of non alcoholic beverage options including mocktails. . The waiting staff were friendly and attentive. We had a young one with us , they had high chairs and very kind to the little one . Highly recommended a family run business .

I don’t know how authentic the food is here. I had the carbonara which as far as I know is made using eggs, Parmesan and bacon. So I was surprised to be served a bowl of pasta swimming in cream. I’m not sure a restaurant claiming to serve Italian food should be getting that wrong. Pizzas are ok, but have a fast food feel to them. Restaurant feels a bit cramped with tables squeezed into a strange shape room.

Staff were friendly, and we were given a table for four in a corner although there was five of us, so there was t a lot of room on the table. The menu had a good choice, however they forgot my main meal and I had to wait until they quickly rustled up my carbonara which was only lukewarm when it eventually arrived. There was a small chocolate handed to us when we paid the bill, which our youngest was excited over but he has a peanut allergy and the staff couldn’t provide a list of ingredients for it so he couldn’t have it. It’s a nice venue but some some more attention by staff would have made it a more memorable meal.

We have been to this lovely restaurant a few times and it never fails to disappoint. Not only is the food delicious the family that run it are so friendly and kind. The atmosphere is homely and welcoming. Everything is cooked and served with love. I would highly recommend going out of your way to visit pretty Stockbridge and have lunch or dinner here.

Called in on spec, needing a quick meal after a very long drive. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and service was pleasant and efficient. 3 of us had pizza and one had veg ricotta pasta. Unfortunately the pizzas were not very tasty and the pasta was very salty.

Great location terrible food. Chewy hard meatballs, possibly reheated. Tomato sauce possibly out of a jar, didn’t taste homemade. Funghi slimy, again possibly from a jar. Service was good.

This is my favourite pizza place in Stockbridge. Coming here on regular basis and my pizza is always spot on with great service, my friend is picky with his carbonara and it was great as well. Lady who served us was lovely, looking forward to come back. ❤️🫶🏻

We were walking by needed a lunch & got a lovely window table . We were asked if we’d like water when we sat down which we did & we browsed over the menu which served pastas , pizzas& meats plus starters so lots to choose from ! We chose a focaccia & minestrone soup & the other was a pizza with pepperoni , I forgot to ask for a salad ! All absolutely amazing & well presented & delicious. We also chose a 3 scoop ica de crema all homemade & with the bill came a surprise shortbread nibble ! Well done to everyone the waiter was really attentive & the cheffing was 1st class , a 1st visit for us we will definitely be back again , Thankyou soo much !

Really good neighborhood Italian restaurant in Stockbridge. Great choice of dishes, big portions and good value for money. House red wine very good, and nice for a restaurant to recommend their house wine rather than a more expensive one. Attentive service.

Solid Italian restaurant in Stockbridge area of Edinburgh. Nice selection of wines and very nice service. We were able to get in early for dinner without a reservation but I think you will usually need a reservation.

Mid afternoon walked in. Big smiles, warm welcome. Delicious homemade Italian food. Aubergine parmigiana a generous hot cheesy delight. Calamaris crunchy batter, soft inside. Friend was quiet as he ate his seafood pasta. Brilliant local restaurant. And dog friendly! Will return soon.
