Pepe è un'istituzione a Soho, un posto dove mangiare un gustoso trancio di pizza al centro di Londra a poco. Il personale è gentilissimo.

The food is good but the staff were so rude. Visited yesterday and the shorter guy at the till had a rude attitude. No please or thank you. And he dumped the food in front of me. Left feeling annoyed, and in one way discriminated against. As he was perfectly nice to everyone else. I’ll avoid this place in future, not worth my money.

We were looking for a drink and snack on a warm Saturday afternoon in Soho at about 2pm. We picked Pepe as they had lots of availability in their outside seating area. We went inside to order, there was one customer in front of us and we waited about 10 minutes before they took our order. There was about 4-5 members of staff all busy doing stuff - no one was talking to each other and it was a rather chaotic! After placing our order (just a fizzy water, a beer, a coffee, a tea and an orange juice) we waited about another 10 minutes for it to be brought out. All cups and cutlery is disposable, there was not any lids for the hot drinks and beer is out of the bottle or in a very small plastic cup! They ran out of milk while we were there so they popped to the shop to buy some, which they then brought out in another plastic cup as they had no jugs! To be fair the coffee and juice were ok, just all a bit manic really!! I think the staff were trying - they just didn’t have a clue what they were doing and no one was guiding them! While we were there three other tables had to chase their food orders and one ‘went missing’ so had to be started again!

Sadly, after visiting this place since it’s opened on a regular basis , today was a poor show, the pizza base was very fluffy almost like bread. Usually it’s thin and slightly crispy. Hopefully this is a one off. I will come back and visit as I’m here very often, just hope the pizza they make regularly comes back. Today was a waste of money as I didn’t enjoy it at all, my date said it was average after I was thing her all day how good it is. Gutted . Usually a 5 star rating. Can you please explain why it was so different today?

I'm glad I tried this place as I'm fond of simple, tasty and filling lunches served up in an efficient experience. The service could have been more courteous but perhaps customers shouldn't expect much from Old Compton Street?

This was a real find and the pizza 'a taglio' comes with a variety of toppings, my favourite is the one with aubergines, mozzarella, tomatoes and olives.

We bothe wanted pizza for lunch, but were only peckish and was therefore looking for somewhere that sells pizza by the slice. Wandered up to Old Compton Street in Soho and found this little place. Had a slice of Fiorentina, and a slice with Salami. They also sell beer and wine. We sat down outside, the whole street is now just like a huge outdoor terrace with tables outside all the restaurants and bars. Absolutely loved the pizza slices, and the new atmosphere in Soho! Would highly recommend for a delicious slice of pizza, and a continental atmosphere like that of any Italian or Spanish city!!

Great pizza at bargain prices, in a cosy atmosphere. If you don't have much time but want to grab some food that's still delicious, then I'd highly recommend Pepe's Italian Street Food. You can enjoy a side salad and a few glasses of wine with your pizza and still come back with change from a ten pound note. Unheard of in London! Staff are always lovely as well.

It doesn't matter that you are smack dab in the middle of one of the busiest cities in Europe, by 2200 hours most restaurants close their doors in London. So, if you are in dire need of nourishment, maybe try this place. There's an acceptable variety of pizzas and the slices are hot and crispy; and they are square, sure, but don't expect the mouthwatering flavour of a real pizza al taglio romana. Accessible prices, lame decoration and bored staff.

Not cheap but if you need that slice or two before going back to work or the pub or the trek home, then despite the large tray bakes and the time they may have been in the window or out on display, the combinations aren’t bad and can’t meet your purpose.

So I was there with my sister last night and we both got a pizza. The lady asked if me and her wanted to pay together and I said yes. However she added the payment of the person in front of us to my bill too so I payed for the guy as well. I payed £13.50 rather than £8-9 that I should have payed. Not much but I think this is very unprofessional. I shouldn’t have payed for the guy in front of me. I always loved going to this place but won’t be going again after last nights experience.

I wrote this review on the Covent Garden branch by mistake but it was actually this pepe branch in soho I visited. I went here on the evening of 13th December to order a take out of what was supposed to be a Carbonara. I thought I’d go for the large as I was rather hungry. Carbonara is actually my favourite pasta dish so this was my obvious choice. It was microwaved for me and I took it away so I could travel home. After the first bite I was so shocked at the consistency and taste that even my friend couldn’t stop laughing. The pasta had no sauce whatsoever and was extremely dry. It tasted like someone boiled the pasta, threw it in an oven and then put some Flora Margarine on it. This was not a carbonara at all, but rather a poor excuse for a pasta dish. For an extra £3 I could have had a lovely pasta dish in a nearby restaurant. Will not be visiting again.

Thought I'd give their pizza slices a try whilst out on a shopping trip yesterday. Oh, what a mistake that was! Don't think I have ever had such a utterly tasteless "pizza" in my life. No idea what the "four cheeses" on it were but can only surmise they were he four cheapest and greasiest varieties on the market. Not even a healthy dousing in chilli oil and seasoning could make it palatable. Overpriced and underwhelming. Avoid.

Had this as a post pub meal because at midnight they offer a carton of pasta for £3.50 via an app. For that price it was very good value for money, the ingredients were a step above what you'd find in a supermarket pasta pot and it was a considerably bigger size as well. At the end of the day though I've had better grab and go pasta (the Cheese Wheel stall for example) so I'm not sure I would have been happy paying full price for this, I suppose you're paying for location rather than quality somewhat.
