I don't live locally so it was a real punt me popping in but I was so glad that I did, I only called in for a bag of chips but the staff were so friendly and the chips were to die for

This is definitely the BEST chip shop I have ever been to. An extensive menu for vegetarians and vegans as well as meat and fish options too. I am a vegan and often cannot find chip shops that cater for me but this one really does. All food is freshly prepared and the owner Prince cannot do enough to advise and help you. And the best thing of all which is unusual for most chip shops - all chips are cooked in separate fryers so are completely fine for vegetarians and vegans. Brilliant, friendly customer service and amazing chips - we have to drive quite a way to get to it but we are about to become regulars! Thank you Prince and team and see you again soon.

Very friendly service. The fish was delicious & succulent, freshly fried in a beautifully crisp, golden, thin batter which was not at all soggy when unwrapped at home; chips perfect too & made with very tasty potatoes. Both expertly seasoned with salt & vinegar & the mushy peas were as good as my old Mum’s! Lots of appetising alternatives on offer too. Will be going back.

I can't fault the food here, my daughter is allergic to egg, unfortunately when order was placed, this was wrong due to poor communication on both parts. I ended up ordering 3 vegan fish and chips whixh was £17.10. When I realised I made a mistake I asked if they would chuck in a fish (egg free) for my girls to share. They couldn't do this because the fish (no egg) is expensive at £5. Even though I just paid £12 by mistake for 3 vegan fish which is £4 each. They said in their defence they could offer a bag of chips, already had 3 bags with the fish i ordered so this made no sense. My point is good customer service management at times need to negotiate..surely loosing 5 pound would gain you a customer who would be spending 15 and more next time.. Business mathematics! Business must be really bad!

Sadly very disappointing lunch Roe must of been from the day before as the batter was rock hard and dark brown inside,chips tasted warmed up with no potato in the centre and peas were cold Never again as it all went in the bin What a waste of money

We have been regulars at this chippy for years and our sons girlfriend is a big fan of his vegan range. For a change we tried his steamed cod - OMG it was FANTASTIC! Juicy and tasty and incredibly good value. We are thinking of making it a weekly treat as we don’t think you could buy a portion from the local supermarket for the same price, and then you gotta cook it! Who would’ve thought it, delicious healthy eating from the local chippy. Well done Prince, genius idea, good luck to you.

Stopped by for 2 vegan and 1 non-vegan supper. Was so refreshing to see so many vegan choices. Not at all oily which is a biggie for us. Everyone was very impressed with the food - we had hake & chips, soy burger, and “chicken” burger. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. LOVED the chips - even cold as a midnight snack!

Absolutely great chip shop with a very wide range of vegan/veggie options with talk of even more to come. Staff are absolute spot on with great service and respect towards everyone. Cannot fault anything at all. Keep up the good work

I was a regular customer, no more due to the guy’s attitude and repeated refusal to a regular and simple request of wrapping my chips, not polystyrene boxing them. The cocky element will subside when this is no longer the only local chip shop with a special menu. Unreasonable and bad business sense. Doesn’t matter if the food is good, if you disrespect your customer they won’t return.

Our local chippy with a superb menu of vegan options including the chips. The battered vegan sausage is the best I’ve ever had and the vegan Halloumi burger (pictured) is unique to this chippy 👌

The chef/owner is very hard working and attentive. His food is perfectly made and designed to cater for every need (vegan/vege/pesc./allergies) and taste!

Good choice of food. All cooked separately and to order so its piping hot and crispy. Vegan halloumi pitta was tasty. Chips were crispy and tasty. Vegan chicken burger was good. Curry sauce was spicy and delicious. Great choice of sauces too. Worth a try.

I Visited this Chippy after reading the Rave Reviews & the Man (Owner) was very Passionate about Providing Good service & Food for His Customers and He clearly had a Passion for his Trade!, The Battered Chips which were Freshly Cooked were not bad but a Little Spongy for My own personal taste as I Like Crunchy(Crisp) battered Chips that are fluffy Inside!, The owner Explained that that was the way They were cooked due to the Potato used which I Accepted!, Anybody who Visits this place will get Excellent Customer service from the owner!, Sadly the lady Serving by Him did not seem as Friendly & Personable but maybe She warmed more to Regulars!.

Not my nearest chippy, but definitely my favourite. If you're a fan of the crispy orange chip, the you are in for a treat. Lots of meat free choice too.

We use this Chippie as its the best around! The food is always so fresh and very generous portions. The staff are always happy and smiling with lovely chat. They have an extensive range and do "specials" that are aimed at providing the best food at very reasonable prices.

Whilst visiting relatives we visited this F&C; shop! What a great place this is...the staff were not just friendly, but really helpful, knowledgeable and great at cooking food. Most things are cooked to order so you are guaranteed that your food is going to be fresh and there is more than enough food in a portion. We will definitely be coming back!! Whilst we don't live in F&C; shops this was certainly one of the best we've been to in a long time!

Speedy tea tonight, so up to see Prince, whose food is consistently excellent. I recommend anyone visit, especially as he caters for vegan and gluten free customers.

Loads of veggie options and great chips! They are always friendly and reasonable costs. Their veggie options are fantastic and they’ll put a haddock in for you by request.

Have read about this place on Facebook and decided to give it a try. I had the vegan halloumi and mushroom burger and my wife had the burger without the mushroom. They were lovely. They came in a bun with optional salad and sauces and we shared some chips. The burger was crispy and tasty as were the chips. The vegan curry sauce was smooth and had a bit of a kick. When we go again we will have the burger without the bun as it was too much.

Usually family order, fish, peas, chips, pie etc. All cooked perfectly and fish is done to order. An excellent choppy, spotlessly clean and great people.

lovely kebab meat an chips freindly staff good value, only negative is it closes pretty early iv been there at bout 9pm a few times on a weekend and weekday before and its been closed but apart from that i love the place if you in the area and u fancy a good chippy this is the place to go

After a long day the thought of cooking so into pennfields place the best chip I have ever tasted and they look good, not to mention the lovely fish and pie's they do. Always a friendly welcome, keep up the good work

Apart from having the best chips in Wolverhampton, this place is also veggie friendly. We live just round the corner and use it regularly.

even if you dont live in Penn Fields this chip shop is definately worth a visit.Its a family run business, the staff are so friendly but over and above the fish, chips, pies and all the rest is simply to die for. You cannot beat their chips, i would not even bother going anywhere else because nothing compares.

Im from Hednesford but know people that live in Pennfields and around that area and they have always rated this chip shop as the best so thought I would try it out myself. Can honestly say the food is second to none. Not usually a fan of battered chips but they are to die for. They dont mix fry their food and you can taste the difference, the chips arent greasy at all. Personally the best chip shop ive been to and will definitely be using them again. 10/10!

Fantastic fresh food, cooked to order. You may have to wait for some fish etc, but better it's cooked fresh than sitting in a warming cabinet.

This chippy is the best without doubt in the Midlands....... they do not mix fry so us veggies can go and enjoy chip shop chips...... as they don't mix fry no meat juices or smells. The staff are the friendliest people genuine and always happy to help.They do a vast variety of veggie food so I urge all you veggies to get down and give them a try you wont be disappointed.

My husband and I visited tonight and were greeted by really friendly service. The man who served us could not have been nicer! The chips were great and the fish fresh!

Always delicious and fresh whatever time I turn up great selection of specials and always served with a smiling welcome, there spicy Lamb Burgers the business and love their scallops thick cut potato.

I am a wheelchair user and I can't get into penfield plaice fish and chips, and I still manage to get my order of fish&chips as soon as the staff see my at the chippy and no matter how many customers he has they always serve me first and bring my order to me outside with a smile. Trust me when I say the fish is lovely and fresh. If your passing drop in and say hi to the staff you'll get a good supper and a chat while waiting on your order and I bet you'll keep coming back for more I did.

Food superb and great choice. Everything bar the chips is freshly cooked to order.They don't mix fry so vegans and veggies can eat from there.Lovely staff, nice fresh looking decor, very clean.Just try it.
