Ordered takeaway Saturday night. Sweet and sour chicken noodles etc. Truly disgusting food which went straight in the bin. Only thing edible were the chips. Complete waste of money. Avoid!

Disgusting - the vegetable spring roll was rotten. It must have been left over from another day. When complained we were offered another one free next time we use this takeaway. There will not be another visit.

Tasty food with generous portion sizes. My go to take-away for midweek and weekend football. Tried most things on the menu. Not a bad meal

We have been using this place for over 30 years now and it has always been good. Nice size portions and always tasty. It has got a little expensive in the last few years but everybody has in the catering and other trades

The best Chinese in the area. Food is full of flavour and always amazing. The girls working in the shop front are so friendly and helpful and were able to help me chose food that suits my dietary restrictions.

One of the worst chinese takeaways I have had . Under cooked almost raw/par boiled floppy chips, the salt and pepper seasoning was ok, lots of fresh chilli, but the chips being almost raw meant the whole thing had to go in the bin. Seaweed was ok apart from quite a few stalky/spiky bits in and not much dried fish. Chicken balls were solid and the batter was soggy. Satay chicken was lumps of chicken of a weird texture, in watered down satay sauce with cucumber. It was clearly the paste like satay sauce from the starter course skewers, which was watered down and then reheated up. Hot cucumber is not something I have ever seen before and don't wish to have again as it was absolutely grim. On the positive, ordering, payment and speed of service was good, the ladies in the shop serving were pleasant and friendly, the place seemed busy for a Sunday night. I however won't be back due to the poor quality of the food.

I notice the last review was over a year ago. This was always my favourite Chinese takeaway but this time it was terrible. I had chicken with Pineapple, chicken in strange shapes in an orange colour. Rice was really strange. Also had chicken in batter with sweet and sour sauce. Soggy batter tasting of old fat. Really disappointed...not sure if it has changed owners or chef...but won't be rushing back

Usually, this is our go to takeaway place, however, just had the most disappointing takeaway. Sweet n sour chicken balls in soggy thick batter, and al dente egg fried rice, with no egg ! Not sure why the usual great standard has fallen so far...

The rating of this takeaway in my opinion is wrong , I have eaten in Oriental Express, Terry's, Rendezvous, wroughton Chinese, way2eat , China kitchen among others many times, the thing they all have in common is they aren't very good. This place on the other hand is far better they put crispy beef in a container with air gaps so when it arrives jts crispy not sweaty , the chicken fillets in sweet chilli sauce were really good, Beef and black bean pretty good , portions plentiful, no idea why its rated so badly We have to travel to collect this and granted there are some crappy dishes but on the whole spot on

I have been coming to this Chinese for a long time and it’s always been my favourite! Such yummy food and good service from the girls out front - always so smiley. Will never go anywhere else

Been going to this chinese for many years and i cant say a bad word about it. Food is delicious (i have tried so much of it) My favourites being the special Thailand dishes and crispy beef. The girls out front are always lovely and friendly and portion sizes are very generous.

Very lovely take away, which included sweet and sour king prawn balls. Tasted fresh. Batter all hot and gooey on the inside and crispy on the outside.

I have been ordering from here for years and I have not had any complaints yet. I was very surprised by some of the reviews as I recommend this takeaway all the time. As I say have been going here for years and can honestly say it’s been very good.

This is our local takeaway. They have a good selection of various cuisines. Delivery service for some of the week. Good portion sizes , reasonably priced.

Should have read trip advisor before ordering. Normally order from Emporers Kitchen which is amazing beautifully cooked, full of flavour food. The slop we got from Peking... Tasteless, greasy, chicken n mushroom. Dry rice and dry chips. Service was quick but apart from that... Will not order again.

We pre ordered and collected from here. What a mistake that was. The food was all sloppy, tasteless and horrible. We don’t like being wasteful, but I will not risk our health. It was that bad that we ended up ditching just about all of what we ordered. Save your money and go somewhere else. Needless to say, We will not be returning here.

Had sweet and sour chicken balls, which were not very nice at all! Everything else was rather sloppy. Would not go back here, especially after seeing in the paper the chefs preparing food with a cigarette in their mouths! Worst chinese I have ever had

I’ve used this takeaway for years because the food is always great but the last few times I’ve called to place the order the attitude of the girls answering the phone has been shocking, as though you are interrupting them and it’s so much trouble for them to answer the phone and take the order. Tonight was bad enough to make me write this review. She obviously realised I wasn’t happy about the way she spoke to me when she suddenly changed her attitude. Not really great for a service industry.

Been to most Chinese in area and found this the best one. I've had a few dodgy experiences in other places where the chicken didn't taste fresh, but Peking House always tastes fresh and clean

Have been coming here for over 25 years and never had a bad meal. Food is fresh and tasty, not overly greasy like some places. Good quick service. Used to come here with my Dad as a child and now I take my kids there!

I had heard good things about this take away so decided to give it a try. Really lovely food, generous portions. Best take out Chinese I’ve ever had. I will definitely be coming back.

The most awful meal....ever....chicken satay was cold chewy chicken splashed with peanut butter and chunks of cucumber! Prawn curry.....thick congealed sauce....if the weather had not been so bad I would have returned all food...it went directly to the dustbin! Obviously not cooked to order, was ready in 4 mins!

We have a take away from this outlet quite often. Good variety and good portion sizes. It usually lasts twice for us as we are not big eaters. They deliver but not at busy times. There is a car park out the front but it can get very busy. Price wise it s about what take aways charge.

Spoilt for choice with Chinese food in Wootton Bassett I have no choice than to rotate which ones I go to.

I'm going to leave this review because this is the second time the same thing has happened to me from 2 separate take-aways (the other being Wagamama last night) in less than one week. Usually I have the beef sate - it's usually wonderful - lovely peanut sauce with a bit of a spice, it has onions and cucumber in it and I have it with boiled rice. This past Saturday lunch-time I take my first mouthful and I literally spat it straight out - because it was full of chilli. Totally inedible - the sauce was so hot my mouth and lips were stinging for ages. I am sick of getting take-aways home and then finding something wrong with them - usually too much chilli or pepper. What was their chef thinking of - putting that much chilli in the food? One day you will kill someone with that amount of chilli. Saté is not a firecracker type sauce so why would you make it so hot. Waste of money - my partner loves this take-away - but me - forget it! I will never order from here again as I am tired of being disappointed and I am not taking the risk again that I will spend money and get what I ordered or what I am expecting. I might as well just rip up the money. And do you really think I have time to bring it back to you - several days before Christmas what woman has time to do that? Never again!

Every dish tastes different compared to a lot of Chinese restaurants. Sweet and sour chicken in batter would feed 3 people! Recommended

We ordered, as we often do on Saturday night a Chinese take away. Collected it, and then on arriving home realised several items were missing. Called the restaurant and they refused to refund us for missing food we paid for. Also, refused to acknowledge this was their mistake

Disgusting food, cold and congealed. Only half of what I ordered was in the bag when we collected it. By the time we got home and realised and called, they denied all knowledge of this and said not their problem. Wont be back. Rude and uncaring attitude! Unbelievable how they are in business still.

Recently had a takeaway and it was dreadful, poor quality dubious ingredients and the meals had a very strange chemical taste, all 4 of us had very bad stomach ache the next day.

No habíamos usado para llevar Chino durante años antes de encontrar este. Ahora utiliza regularmente y me encanta. Siempre Popular así que no sólo yo.

He estado comiendo comida de este lugar durante 20 años y siempre satisfechos con la calidad de la comida para llevar el mejor aquí en la zona lo recomiendo a todos mis amigos muy concurrido viernes y sábado, pero bien vale la pena la espera

Every time I come here the food is of a consistent quality. I don't think I have been anywhere else where the dishes are identical each time. Good size portions and clean tasting it's an excellent place.Loses a star this time as the vegetarian spring rolls had pork and prawns in them. I assume they got them mixed up in the kitchen. Not a major issue, but could have seriously upset the wrong person.Look forward to the next visit.

This is the only takeaway I tend to use. Plenty of parking, next to Tesco so I can stock up on a few basics whilst I am waiting for the food.Food is clean tasting, hot and plentiful and a good price. Well worth a visit.

I had the misfortune to choose this establishment for our tea. Firstly, I asked the person serving for king prawns in black bean sauce, but mistakenly gave the wrong number. Despite working with this menu on a regular basis, I was not corrected and ended up with king prawn in black pepper sauce. I hate black pepper. However I have to accept this was not totally their fault. However, the sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style was tough, tasted fatty with too much batter (yes it appeared to be batter on Hong Kong style) and the sauce tasted like something out of an economy jar of pre-prepared product. We were hungry, so we ate less than half and the rest went in the bin. In fact the chicken dish was so bad, I made a special trip back to the shop to exclaim our disgust. We're approaching retirement age and have extensive experience of quality food. This was not quality & we shall not return. It's M&S or other premium supermarket Chinese ready meals from now on as they are infinitely better.

Nice food and of a high quality for a takeaway. Hot and tasty food from the start. We will be getting another takeaway from here in the future.

Ordered a couple of times and very impressed with the standard of the food. Home delivery though not on friday or saturday - probably because they are so popular!

We get a takeaway about once every couple of months. We've ordered quite a few items over the years. The food is always very hot. Very good value for money Very good food. We ring and collect when their ready. Staff are good.

Microwaved rice conjealed together... pork that was so tuff it must have been from a 40 year old pig and batter that was over cooked in what must have been dirty cooking oil judging from the dark colour. As I said don't bother go to the shop next door and save your money.

This is my local takeout They do delivery not every day Very good variety of food . It has been in business for over 20yrs. Large portions and reasonably priced not cheap but reasonable. Service is about what you expect from a takeaway.
