Peking Chef in Cherwell

Use to be lovely food, quality really gone down, seems like ingredients have been changed to cheaper and the amout of meat in dishes not nice. Use to be pork pieces, not pork mince in the sweet and sour pork balls, won't use again

Order a chicken chow main no veg and curry sauce the chow main was filled to to top with gravy and the chicken was like rubber how can they get something as easy as a chow main so wrong wont be getting anything from them again

Truly disgusting. After a few tastes we put the lot in the dustbin. Sincere apologies to the dustbin. Do NOT order from this place.

We often have a take away from the Peking Chef, the service is excellent and the food always really good and plentiful. Can really recommend this take away.

The chef is fantastic, he'll tailor your food for the content u would like, for example i didn't want onions and carrot with my prawns so he left them out. A simple thing that means so much. If i'de have known i would have paid the extra pound to fill the tub up(it felt shy but that was not chefs fault) When I phoned to complain about this he was very sorry and offered a free meal (I wasn't interested as the mistake was my part for not saying extra) I would highly recommend this establishment as brilliant customer service, food is great for a take out Chinese definately give it a go.

Sadly they worst Chinese takeaway I have ever had. Shame as it used to be good, but I can only assume it now has new chef

Having had plenty of Chinese take aways in my life time ... I can safely say this one was not very nice at all . Just no taste whatsoever.... the chicken balls had no flavour and just tasted bland ... the Sweet &sour sauce was thin and vinegary.... chicken fried rice was dry ... about 3 peas and tasteless chicken. Chips was not chips more like mc Donald’s fries and the beef curry was bland and greasy Never again will I order from there 😡

We ordered egg fried rice with sweet & sour chicken, all of this was cold and tasted disgusting. The egg fried rice wasnt cooked enough and neither was the chicken. To top it off the sauce looks toxic and tasted vile. Wont be ordering from here again.

Has to be the best takeaway in Banbury. I know Cash only isn't the best but its worth it! Great menu and good prices!

Never been dissapointed with this great takeway. They deliver if you want and i can honestly say after 20 yeears of eating in Banbury this is awesome. Try the Peking dumplings!

We went for a set menu for two, as the menu is so overwhelming with choices. It was ready when we arrived. There was no flavour, it was really bland. We didn’t eat it all.

The takeaway food is fantastic. Good price, very fast delivery and always great food. Easy to order online, and will be continuing to use in the future.

Good food ,good price , l've been eating here for years. I love the food and the chef are very conscientious. If you ask for your food to be extra spicy , they will accommodate your wishes.

Food really nice here. Only live round the corner so easy access for us. The staff are always very friendly and never had any problems with the food.

Occasionally, we did order takeaway from this location. There have been different owners over time; yet, I cannot find who the owner is now (Aug 2016). Further, whilst the food is just mediocre, the location is close to where we live and that's why we use to give them the business. Within 3 miles of their business, they would deliver for £1.50. This evening (28 Aug), the woman who answered the phone was unfriendly and she padded the delivery bill. The delivery came and the driver had the invoice showing the delivery was higher than what we paid in the past. I questioned it. We live just over 2 miles from this establishment. I was instructed by the driver to ring the woman who took the order and she kept repeating herself like a parrot explaining that her computer reads we lived further. This is just not true; I checked the AA route planner later. Her continued insulting tone and even after I asked to speak to the manager or the owner she refused since she said the manager would agree with her and she explained since the owner was the only delivery person they had, he was out delivering and he is not available. As it turns out, the only delivery man they had was standing in front of me at my door commanding cash only which we never had a problem with. He denied that he was the owner. I went from being a cool and friendly person to an angry person. I will not be giving them our business in the future and I will be letting my friends and family know that they pad the bill. More frustratingly, there was no help available nor was there an apology. The whole experience was incredibly off putting. Both these individuals have no concept about what customer service means. Their arrogance cost them business. I now understand why only 1 in 2000 small businesses survive. They have no idea how to give service so that customers speak well of them nor do they know what to do to ensure the customer keeps coming back.

We enjoyed the takeaway and it was very reasonably priced. Not full marks for sweet and sour pork balls... Otherwise great.

Great range for a takeaway, including dim sum and other dishes you normally only get in restaurants. The only downside is that they work on a cash-only basis.

I've had takeaways from here a couple of times and will not be going back. The chicken fried rice had six slithers of chicken in the entire tub. Sweet and sour was mainly soggy batter and no meat. Other dishes lacked seasoning.

Use this on a regular basis and never been let down yet.Food always fresh and piping hot, delivery exceptional as normally 30 minutesMakes a pleasant change to others that quote 45 minutes and your still waiting an hour or more later.
