Best chippy by far in BD2, the owners husband and wife are lovely. So welcoming and so nice. The food is always fresh and tastes delicious! I always come here and recommend this chippy to everyone. I was there recently as I had family over from London and the food did not disappoint. More than the food if I’m honest it’s the service from the lovely couple that keeps me coming back. 😋

I’d give it a zero star if I could. Rang up and asked the man if they do masala fish and he huffed and puffed then shouted we don’t do that sorry and put the phone down. Then rang him again and said excuse me I was asking you a question then said okayyyy and declined the call again

Worst fish and chips I've ever had

Place is never open!! The times on the door don't mean anything at all. I live 10mins away and constantly trying to get food but never manage anymore. Been like this nearly a year. It's empty because of this. They no longer open at set times so the business is dying as nobody thinks it's even running anymore because it rarely is! Very sad as it was a great chippy, just needs new owners.

Looks like I’ve posted using my wife’s account! Came to watch BCFC and our usual Bolton Junction chippy was shut so went to Peel Park. I had a fish butty and it was absolutely perfect, good size, cooked to order in a lovely golden crisps batter. Come back to watch BCFC against Blackburn with friends and had F&C this time. These once more were excellent 10/10. All my friends commented saying these were the best they’d had. If you live local do yourself a favour and call in you won’t be disappointed.

I usually buy my F&C when in BFD at Bolton Junction but it was closed. I decided to visit Peel Park fisheries, well the F&C were excellent, fish cooked to order, great size, lovely crispy batter and top notch. I returned again when City were playing and brought some friends, all said the F&C were lush and gave them an excellent rating. I would strongly encourage people who live locally that if they don't use this chippy start you will not be disappointed.

50 years of great fish and chips

It’s my go to chippy. I love the food, but my only gripe is when taking cash, please use gloves or wash hands after handling the money, straight after taking my money my butty got opened and prepared straight after handling the money, that’s the only thing I don’t like everything else is great

Fish, scollops, peas and curry spot on. 3 portions of chips went all in the bin. You don't give that rubbish out when you spend nearly 35quid

Extremely Rude owner. Wouldnt recommend eating here. Man in the shop not sure if hes the owner or what but he is more bothered about trying to fine his customers over parking than providing a good customer service. Literally as you pull up outside hes already looking out the window to see what your doing so he can come take a picture of your reg and fine you. I was getting my haircut next door but one, my friend had come to pick me up and due to no car spaces remaining outside majority of the shops he parked in fish shop bay for literally a couple of mins (which were all empty at the time by the way) the plan was to actually get fish butties after i finished my haircut but by that time he had already been fined and wouldnt waive the fine when we told him the plan was to eat fish n chips.. seemed he was more happy with his fine! I would never Support this business going forward (Drakes 5 lane ends way better and friendlier staff)

Went to this fish shop and parked up waiting for it to open a man came from inside and asked us to move I'm taking it he was the owner we didnt end up getting any fish and chip but ended up with a 100 pound fine what a arrogant man wont he coming again and advise to anyone dont use this chippy one further up road is better advise to anyone that's going to go there sy

I only wish i'd tried this place sooner, the fish is spot on and cooked fresh upon arrival, can't fault the chips, they are cooked to perfection, the service is extremely good, and they also deliver via the "Just Eat" app, which is a bonus when placing a large order..... all in all 10/10

Very Rude Owner. On waiting for the shop to open the owner asked if we could move our vehicle due to a big delivery arriving shortly, no problem we moved and waited for shop to open for 20 minutes, we then got our food to eat in our vehicle, over one hour had passed and still no delivery, other customers turned up and parked in the same spot we was ask to move from and then the staff member moved their car to permanently park in the same spot, clearly no delivery, they obviously didn't realize we was customers waiting for the shop to open and didn't ask. We have been going here for year but not any longer.

Really nice clean shop. Staff always polite. The fish chips are great. The gish sre cooked to order so you always get fresh portion. You can pay by debit card. There is parking right outside the shop. A little table chair inside and local papers to browse while you wait also table bench outside too.

Called in for quick lunch but won't be calling again soon. Was around 12. Lunch time but the chips were like yesterday's warmed up. Very small portions and not cooked enough. Very disappointing as they use to be quite nice from there.

I don't like coming here that much because there's always flies flying around inside near where there fry the fish.. I can understand flies fly in when a customer's opens the door you can't make food until the flies are all gone. Lovely fish x

I'm from out of town and spotted this place. Good parking outside, and seating for those sunny days. The fish was cooked fresh and a lovely golden colour. Nice and crispy, well recommended to any one. Yum yum.

Everytime I go I'm greeted by the usual happy staff! If I had any suggestion, it would be more chips or a larger tray for some types of orders. But those are just things I would like not things that it needs.

My son was treating me to fish and chips and said why don't we go to the local one.I ordered fish and chips.No sign of it showing it was haddock or cod at £5.00 for them.The fish batter was slightly overcooked and the chips were not fresh.The young girl who never smiled was cooking fresh chips but i got the ones that had obviously been sat there some time in the warmer and some of the chips were rock hard.I had indigestion later which I don't normally have. I will stick to my normal fish and chip shop which offers 2 fish and chips for 4.50!

Wonderful food, honestly the best fish & chips I've ever had. The staff are friendly and service is as quick as it can be what with the fish being freshly cooked.

Tasty fish and chips, freshly cooked fish

Called in for authentic fish and chips with my friend from America. She loved it, it's always Haddock in Bradford and the batter is so light and crispy and cooked in the old fashioned way. We also sampled the 'cakes' as made here, a slice of potato, layer of fish & final slice of potato then fried like the fish, lovely.

Really nice chippy, good before a match day and after a pint down the road. Recommend the scollop special that they have done for 10+ years which is only £1.50!!

Found on the internet as one of the best fish n chips in the UK. Bored staff, sloppy chips and more batter than fish. Not worth a second visit.

I've eaten here 3 times and every time either sat at the small table inside or one of the picnic tables outside. The food is very nice, though not spectacular, well cooked and not greasy. The standard of service is excellent, with plenty of extra touches like optional 'Lo-Salt' , and plenty of napkins and forks provided, extra seasoning for chips etc. The premises is clean and this inspires confidence, as well as the fact they seem to concentrate on good value standard fare rather than gimmicks.
