Pedro's Peri in County Durham

They use to be so good now they can’t even get my order right and don’t even apologise or try to fix it but instead they hang up and the food is completely plain with no taste ! Wouldn’t recommend for any peri peri dishes

Useless, can't get a basic order right. I can accept basic mistakes but no fries with 2 meals, no sauces as requested. Far better sticking to KFC

We have used pedos for a while and it’s was always lovely. Not sure what has happened but we went last night and the chips are now rotten they used to be so nice. There was not many and most had holes but had been cooked, looked like frozen chips! I would not normally write a review but I rang the shop last night to feedback and they just put me on hold Obviously they dont value their customers either

Walked out after looking around at the state of the place and being spoke to like an idiot from some kid. If the two kids want to chat and ignore customers just stay at home

im not impressed, i ordered from here yesterday and i’ve been up all night being sick!! burnt chicken and it was covered in garlic so you couldn’t see the burnt chicken! will not be going EVER again

I discovered Pedros about 3 years ago a few weeks before I moved away from spennymoor. We really enjoyed our food, and when we moved we would joke saying that we missed pedros and said that it was sad that none of the local takeaways were as good. Today, I had to return to spennymoor to visit a family member so we thought that we should visit pedros for a quick bite to eat. We drove for 20 minutes trying to call but there was never an answer. After finally getting to pedros there was two customers in (current maximum due to COVID) and neither of them were wearing a mask. After standing inside for about 10 minutes, one of the three girls at the front finally asked, what my order was ... I told her I hadn’t even ordered yet!!! Then once I ordered I paid, already disappointed at the service already, she then tells me that it’s cash only. Great during a pandemic when everyone is asking to pay contactless. No excuse really, not in this day and age. Clearly there’s a reason that they don’t accept card! Then it gets better ... after paying and she gives me my change ... she THEN tells me it’s over half an hour for the food. What a joke. I walked back to my partner in the car and told him and he said that we should just get our money back ... at this point there was a queue out the door for people to be served. I am so disappointed in the service. If it’s going to be 30 minutes for food when you go in and order that’s just a joke. 30 mins for collection or delivery then fine. Hell I’ll wait longer, no problem. But after calling for 20 minutes, waiting 10 minutes inside to even be spoken to, then to be told it’s 30 minutes for food well after already paying. Also another customer asked if the takeaway had any menus - no they did not. What takeaway doesn’t have menus. She told him to look at the Facebook page ... after looking at all three pages on Facebook when driving over to spennymoor, what’s the point in checking their Facebook page because it’s either 2019 or 2016 the last time they updated the page, so you have no hope of that being the correct menu ... oh and guess what, it’s not. The prices are different. What a joke, the three girls working on the 15th of August really need to be spoken to about their customer service. I’ve worked in hospitality for 4 years so I understand what it’s like to work in a busy and high intense environment but the lack of service is disgusting. Here’s to seeing if the food is just as good and sadly, even if it’s super tasty, I still give it a 1 star because of bad service. I won’t be coming back, regardless of taste! Disappointing!

Our 1st time at this food establishment... The portions are really filling and the quality is beautiful to the taste buds 😘😜👍 I will be visiting here again... Well recommended

Absolutely love this place. It never fails. Think it’s nicer than Nando’s. chicken is always perfection. Fast service and very cheap. Never go anywhere else!!

I loved it here from the first time I went, the chicken was nice, the chips are good and the garlic bread was lovely.The chicken breast I got was very close to the standard of a nando's however slighlty drier; but for the taste and value you cannot complain.The meals are healthy, depending on what you get, but the chicken is good and the chips aren't greasy. They have varying levels of spice to suit kids and adults.Overall, a cheaper, healthier Nando's that is local and deliver, great service, and great food.My only complaint would be that you can't use card or pay online yet.

Ordered as a change to the usual takeaway. Reasonably priced and food ready for collection in 20 minutes. Husband tried the burger, I had the chicken strips marinated in a medium peri peri sauce. Spicy rice very good and a nice fresh salad too. All boxed and piping hot. Would definitely order from here again.

Ordered a chicken salad from here this evening it was absolutely delicious! Fresh and tasty with feta cheese and flaked almonds lovely choice of extras. Will be eating there again soon.

Have tried this place a few times and the food is absolutely delicious. We work locally and normally there's a few of us who order and we go and collect it! Food is tasty and there's never any complaints from us. Prices are brilliant for the amount of food you get and you get plenty. Food is very healthy depending on what you order. There's also a few veggie options available too which are also very nice and of good portion sizes. Do come and try this place! You'll love it.

Es similar a la verdad Nando, pero más barato, menos niños y no incompetentes personal.Puedes ir aquí y salir con una comida que va a llenarte y te dejan sensación no grasienta y hinchado. No obstante, se pueden conseguir cosas más insalubres como pan de ajo, etc.Mi novia y yo fuimos, nos dieron un pollo peri peri pitta, por enrollado de pollo, patatas fritas y pan por persona queso ajo. . . (drum roll). . . 10 libras! Ganga!El menú está muy bien presentado. Es claro y sencillo de hacer y el personal es muy amable.Digo, usted no puede utilizar la tarjeta en Pedro.

El pollo en la hamburguesa que pedimos estaba muy fría, como casi 'la nevera' frío. La comida era entregado unos 25 minutos después de que realizó el pedido y sólo viven 5 minutos así que no hay manera de que podría haber estado preparado y luego frío en ese tiempo. El resto de la comida estaba caliente. Que pedimos desde aquí un montón en el último par de años y la comida siempre ha sido genial (y caliente). Sólo escribo esto como piedra fría de pollo es pollo desde un lugar un poco preocupante.Pedí un reembolso para la hamburguesa y me dieron.Ah, y también pedimos y pagamos para chips de Peri peri, pero sólo nos dieron normales

Pedro's is a change from usual greasy takeaways I was a little nervous of the food being too spicy but the chicken pitta wrap was beautiful as well as the peri peri chips will definitely go back.

well what can I say? absolutely Incredible thats what, will never go to Nandos again for a chicken wrap as Pedros blows it out the water in my opinion. keep up the good work guys!

Called in midweek for a cheeky takeout. Shared the lemon and garlic chicken meal deal with peri peri chips and mayo. It was hot, lovely and moist chicken with the right amount of spice. Second time we have been and will definitely call again

A nice healthier option for a takeaway. Been here several times and tried most of the food on the menu. As its cooked fresh I would ring in advance for your order, as its flame grilled its healthy option, no fat or grease. The peri chips are excellent, the salads very fresh in taste and look. The new burgers are a welcome addition to the menu. Place is very clean and tidy and the staff service always been first rate.

Had a delicious meal, delivered by an extremely polite young man. Food was presented in nice boxes and was hot. Highly recommended as a change from the usual takeaway fare.

Popped in for lunch, tasted great and the server was polite. But took a full 20 minutes to be cooked; would it be possible to butterfly/cut up chicken to cook a little faster?

We called in after it just opened and had a few tasty treats , bit more expensive than going to KFC , but you hoped you where getting a better product

The food was absolutely amazing. Such a nice change from eating greasy takeaway. The only problem is I had to wait a while for the order because they hadn't heated the grill yet on this occasion. I would recommend it to anyone.

The town of Spennymoor doesn't have many clean and presentable places to eat, so it was pleasant to see this restaurant open. The owners have certainly made a large effort- the food is on par with Nando's and the inside is very clean and nicely decorated. I would certainly recommend so keep up the good work.

Ordered in advance turned up half hour later when told had to sit in the shop for half hour then asked for a refund they said it was ready but still waited 5 more minutes. Good food and good price but terrible service

Good Change from the regular Indian Chinese and Pizza, chicken is tasty but I think the portion or size of chicken should be larger, salads are ok, opening ( sorry ) closing time is to early

Pedro's is a decent takeaway with a difference. We both purchased peri peri chicken pittas with peri peri chips.
