Peckish Stockton in Stockton-on-Tees

It's a nice shop, don't get me wrong. I got the special of the day; it was lamb curry and rice. By the time I got a drink, it came to £7. To be honest, it had 6 pieces of diced lamb. The rice had no flavouring, just bland white rice, kind of reminded me of prison rice. For the same price, I would rather go to Frandos and get chicken strips with rice or go to KCS where I can get like more than 6 pieces of diced lamb!

When I received my order the panini was burnt and no salad was in it even though I explicitly asked for it when ordering over the phone. Ridiculously overpriced - I have never seen a small business charge these prices for such basic food. £8 for a (burnt) chicken panini which came with nothing in is absolutely ridiculous.

Ordered sandwich wrap and fries, the woman that served me was very blunt and rude. The sauce was placed in the wrap before placing the chicken plus it wasn't even wrapped properly which meant the wrap fell apart, all the sauce leaked out over my clothes and car not only that but the tortilla was luke warm at best. Poor service.

I couldnt have had a better first experience at peckish. Prices are reasonable, food is amazing and the customer service is spot on too.

Nice food. But Please! Please do Not answer phone calls when handling food, not only is it a little bit rude, but then the same unwashed hands to handle money, then going back to touching food. It really put me off from coming back in future, which is sad because the food is decent. This is the only issue I have with this place. If your staff start using gloves or have a consistent method of not handling food and money with the same unsanitary hands, then I will start coming back for sure. Remember the handling of a phone is also a BIG NO, from a hygiene and customer service perspective. I hope you can improve on these areas.

Tuna and cheese jacket spud however do like their gujoun wraps and curry and rice. Welcome helpful staff

Great little food shop for all hot & cold sandwiches, jacket potatoes, samosas etc choice of deserts, crisps and drinks. Very tasty and worth the money, very affordable. Ladies who run it are very nice and approachable .... service with a smile

Sophia really knows how to make the kids smile. Their customer service is fantastic, the kids are obsessed by her rainbow cones, and the cakes are absolutely delishious. We have booked to have our daughters birthday there in November, but will be back many times before then as its now a family favourite.

Updated my review since the owners actually took the time to respond which shows they care about their reputation and their customers. But they must remember that 'no complaints' doesn't equal 'no problems'. Fantastic food but (from a pedantic perspective) the customer service just needs a slight improvement. The Stockton shop has excellent quality desserts which are highly recommended. The specials at both shops are delicious and value for money compared to their competitors. Parking is also much better at the Stockton shop and theirs a handy cash machine on the same road.

Wonderful waffles, fluffy and hot. Mine were covered in strawberries and nutella, absolutely delicious. Only downside is this is more of take away place than sit in. Although they do have a small counter you can sit at, which we did and enjoyed our food. Gem of a place. They deliver on a weekend, good to know. Will definately be back.
