I have been 3 times now and always had fun. I had a friend visiting from Hertfordshire after being to a concert we had booked for 8pm. We were.given a choice of seats and the lady who served us was extremely knowledgeable on the wines and brought 3 tasters for my friend. Food was really nice and well presented. I had a bottle of Cava and that was £35 which I thought was expensive and would think twice about ordering it again. Apart from the one negative it's a lovely atmosphere and will keep visiting

Really lovely friendly wine bar, prices are extremely reasonable with great quality wines on offer, plus you get the joy of tasting and selecting while being told more, by staff who are clearly engaged and enthused. Limited seating but that adds to the atmosphere when sharing tables etc

Having just left with a friend it's been brought to my attention a glass of white wine is £16.50 how can you justify your prices. When your establishment closes down you have no one to blame but yourselves. Pure greed . I will not return. Other reviews reflect the same. Jayne Copeland

A nice quirky place for a bite to eat and a coffee. It's small and a little snug if it is full, but a nice atmosphere

Over pricey.. I was told a bottle of wine costs £25 to take away and £40 to dine in. I’ve never seen any restaurant increase the price by 60% for dine in and we had paid the price to dine in for less than the said hour and was asked to move out of the reserved table. Absolute waste of money and a ruined evening.

Lovely wine bar with an excellent atmosphere. Staff are sweet and accommodating. Bread sticks made our day. It was busy when we got here but they found a way to fit us in and make it absolutely worth the visit.

This is a fabulous place for breakfast, brunch and dinner. There is a lovely atmosphere and the hosts are always welcoming. Great menu choices. Very highly recommended.

Always give a good recommendation on what to drink

These guys know there wine and we're really helpful. Good selection and some interesting natural and orange wines. Minimal beer offerings but then again the focus is wine. Cheese / Charcuterie board and similar food available. Early close (21:00) on a Sunday.

This place is one of my favourites, very friendly, food is great, atmosphere is great, wine is top notch and very knowledgeable. We need more independent places like this in Yarm.

Excellent wine, spirits, food, atmosphere and, above all, staff. The best in Yarm to relax with a bottle of wine and a delicious cheese board.

We visited with friends who live on Yarm. We had a charcuterie board with meat and cheese. It was tremendous. The service was great and when we asked for more bread this was no problem. The staff are knowledgeable about the food on offer. The atmosphere was great and we had an excellent experience. Definitely recommend.

3small bottles beer some cheese not enough to feed a mouse and glass of wine all for the total sun if £58 the place is a rip off

4 of us visited this place. It was a Bank Holiday Weekend. If I was the owner I'd review the attitude of the staff who work there. Definitely will not return. A shame because the place offers something slightly different on the High St wrt to wine and cheese. Reasons: *Ordered a £35 bottle of chardonnay with 4 glasses which came without a bottle cooler. * we asked for a cheeseboard and the young waiter pointed out they stop serving cheese at 9PM. My wife said it was 8:55. His response was that the kitchen had already been cleaned for the evening. There were 2 other young woman working there who were behind the counter playing on their mobile phones and not looking particularly busy or happy. We jokingly pointed out that we'd clean a few plates and cutlery after eating a bit of cheese. * Place was quite busy but the staff repeatedly turned people away before their last orders for a Sunday (9:30PM) * we asked a staff member why they were turning customers away and they said it was because they closed early on Sundays and they needed time to clear tables so they could finish on time. As mentioned, they were turning away customers away before 9:30PM. I suspect the owners were not around. The attitude and work ethic of the staff was poor as was their customer management. They all looked as if they were doing us a favour working there. Shame really

Had the Bruschetta with sundried tomatoes and feta, fries with parmesan and truffle oil and the small sharing board, 2 meats, 2 cheese & 2 accompaniments with rocket salad, all washed down with a recommended bottle of Rose. Absolutely sublime and I will be visiting again asap, I'm still smacking my lip's. Great service and lovely staff, thanks.

What an excellent place for relaxed dining and quality wines. We had an early tea here yesterday, cheese and meat board, followed by dessert washed down with a tasty red wine, delicious. The service is excellent and it's dog friendly.

Beautiful little wine bar. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Would 100% reccomend the medium board to share with some wine.

Lovely place , went in for a coffee which was quality, had a savory filo pastry homemade roll which was delicious 😋. Bought a cheese and meat board and some prosecco to enjoy later . The owner was so knowledgeable and very friendly and helpful will return with our friends 🙂.

A lovely place to spend a few hours on an afternoon or evening. Two lovely members of staff served us and were friendly and very knowledgeable. Unfortunately they had run out if a lot of food, but we did have a stunningly presented and delicious cheese and meat board. Gorgeous selection of wines. Really enjoyable. We will definitely be back, but hopefully they will have some of our first choice food options this time.

Harry was very knowledgeable about wine and took time to recommend bottles. We stayed for a few glasses (and took some bottles home The service was fabulous and the food was very tasty!

Very unorganised, unfortunately the staff seemed to want to prioritise the delivery orders over customers in the venue. When we arrived it took 25 minutes to get a drink to the table and 1.5 hours before getting any food. (After being told that the food would be a long time because they had alot of deliveries) It's a shame because the venue and the food was lovely. We watched several people walk out as they didn't get served, the staff couldn't cope, yet kept letting people in! we won't be going back. Thoroughly disappointed.

Fantastic experience, great atmosphere. The natural wines are divine, and the offer of tapas is really high standard. I would seriously recommend this place!

Really excellent charcuterie and cheeses

Love this place. It has taken over our most chilled venue with a 3.5 hour lunch. 3 bottles of fabulous Italian wine and we didn't even feel drunk.

Shocking rude service! My first venture out since lockdown so my friend and I decided to try Fourteen Drops because we both enjoy a glass of good wine. Table was booked for 1.30pm and when we arrived at 1.30pm we waited 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged or shown to our seat. Once we were seated a sour looking young man mumbled something to us which was regarding track and trace. We then waited a further 20 minutes before finally walking out having not been served or even an apology given. I have never in my years of dining out been treated this way! Were we invisible? Doesn't even deserve one star.

Bad business practices and customer service - beware! I’ve never had to leave a bad review before but after dealing with this business I felt compelled to. We bought two £25 vouchers for a wine tasting experience to be used in the Newcastle store yet two days later they announce on Instagram they’re closing down! Really poor form to not point that out at the time of sale. Nevertheless we were told to look out for “loads of exciting events and tastings” in 2019 in Newcastle. I’ve yet to see any so about 2 months ago I rang up to see about a refund. I tried three times to speak to the person responsible for this but each time promised a call back that never happened. Eventually I got a response on Instagram DM and was told to email voucher details which I duly did and asked for confirmation of receipt. Again, no reply. I had to ring again (twice) and was told the refund had been processed and would take 5 days - why they couldn’t just do a faster payment bank transfer I’m not sure. Anyway, 5 days passed and guess what... no sign of my refund. But they’d said to contact if I hadn’t got it within 5 days so again I reach out to see what’s going on. I then get a really passive aggressive response defending their exceptionally poor service because they are a small business and they need to do this outside of working hours and there is nothing more they can do. Well, there is a lot more that could have been done in this instance. They offered to send proof the refund had been processed but lo and behold when asked for it, it has still not been sent 48hrs later. Sure their Yarm store is wonderful and they are pleasant to chat to but beware any form of voucher transaction or attempt to legitimately obtain a refund. They will not honour it!

Great little place to enjoy wine from a wide selection and food from a sharing board with friends. Friendly, knowledgeable staff to advise on the various wines.

Went for a late lunch & a delicious glass if wine. Had a sharing platter with lovely breads, cheeses & cured meats. Very relaxed atmosphere, staff polite & informative. Offered a taste of our wine before we agreed to buy a glass. I would be back on a regular basis if I didn't live so far away. Well done on a lovely afternoon, with crisp refreshing wines & cheeses.

Small place but good atmosphere

Unfortunately didn't float my boat. Hot coffee and mugs with no handles. Looked at me gone out when asked how to pick up the mug without burning my fingers. Health and safety field day there.

Wow just wow! After numerous recommendations from friends, I finally had the chance to visit fourteen drops myself. It certainly surpassed expectation. From being greeted on arrival with a warm friendly welcome through to leaving several hours later, absolutely everything is handled with sheer professionalism. The staff are superb, being accommodating and informative. As for the food and wine, the quality & presentation is exceptional. An amazing evening, I will be back again and again - thank you to all at fourteen drops.

Very rarely do I leave a review, however after my experience yesterday, I felt the need to do so. I visited the bar with a friend and sat outside. After a short period of time, we found that we were covered in rust from the barrelled tables. I informed the waitress, who told us that rust is to be expected to come off of the barrels as they were directly from the brewery. Unhappy with this, we raised this issue when paying the bill. We received no apology and were told to use Vanish to remove the marks left on our clothing. To add to the insult, £2.19 was discounted from our bill. This is appalling. The customer service was absolutely abysmal to say the least. I have visited Fourteen Drops on several occasions and will not be returning.

There's a lovely atmosphere in here and a wonderful selection of wines to choose from. Fiona is both knowledgable and approachable should you require guidance as to what to choose. It's something a bit different. Give it a try!
