Wonderful meal with friends . Beautiful food, we had everything on the menu and it was all delicious. Great staff too. Very friendly.

Some plates were really good, however was let down a bit with the calamari as it was a bit soggy, and the feta cheese bake didn't have maple syrup on but had golden syrup on instead, Fed this back to the waitress who was amazing and had some very good suggestions for food and drink, Should try maple syrup on the feta cheese and take out the bread and replace with cornbread as this would pair better on this dish, All in all the selection was good, the hangar steak and smoked salmon with avocado were the best dishes I thought,

We went for a bottomless brunch for a birthday celebration. A table of 15 was booked in advance. It was a very tight squeeze. A couple of people dropped out and it was a good job as we could barely fit around the table. The bottomless brunch was advertised at £35 on line, but when we arrived it was £39 on the menu. There were 11 of us having the bottomless brunch and we had 3 charcuterie boards to share between us. I had 2 small thin slices of french bread and a few pieces of cheese and meat. Now while a few of the people in our group got their monies worth, I definitely did not. I have 3 drinks as I was at work the following day. Maybe I shouldn't have ordered a bottomless brunch, but from previous experience at other places the food is much more generous and the brunch is not as expensive. The drinks were nice enough and the bar and atmosphere was good, but I went home starving and ordered a takeaway when I arrived home. I think it's a bad idea to have such little food, while drinking. I started the day with a soft drink and ordered fries. I spent nearly £50! I would go to Luna blu for a drink in the future, but I would not return for food or brunch.

Outside seating on a warm evening. Tapas choices were so good, including spicy edame, baked feta in honey, halloumi, padrons, and hummus with crispy breads. Good service, great food thank you

Went in yesterday for afternoon tea. Place practically empty, plenty of staff but very poor and slow service. Afternoon tea very poor and not worth the money, we felt as though we were imposing and left early. Wouldn’t recommend

We have been visiting Lunablu in Yarm for some years now, with varying results of satisfaction. Today was quite possibly the worst experience to date. Food very good, atmosphere excellent, service appalling, first of all we were shown a table, after 10 / 15 mins I went to the bar to order drinks, ok this can happen. We then decided to eat and ordered another couple of drinks, again after 10 / 15 mins I went to the bar again where the staff were all stood at the end of the bar, and I said any chance of those drinks, “ oh yeah “ . She clearly forgot, the food then followed 10 mins later. This is just not acceptable, we live in Darlington, and always enjoyed Lunablu, I won’t be back for some time, if at all.

Booked for afternoon tea for 6 to celebrate a birthday on Sunday 2nd June. Staff were quite pleasant but we'd orderd all vegetarian, one gluton free, two vegan all came with meat & salmon sandwiches, asked them to change the order which they did quite quickly although we'd already waited awhile to be served but no apology for their mistake & said it hadn't been put down in the book as if it was our fault. Sandwiches were reasonable but no scones for gluton free or vegan & the cakes for gluton free & vegan were deffinetly from a supermarket as I recognized them as I buy them myself & for £22 a head I expected home made even if there had been only a couple of choices. Tea & soft drinks are expensive. There was another birthday celebration going on & felt the staff were to busy,. Also when booking were told what time you can have the table to which I've never experienced before. On the whole I felt the staff were overworked, the food may be ok if your going for a meal of a sandwich but definitely was very disappointed with the afternoon tea, I felt it was expensive for what you get I've had better for a cheaper price elsewhere so sorry would not recommend for afternoon tea.

We went into Lunablu after they renovated and took over the old ice-cream parlour and we weren’t disappointed. We now go in most weekends for brunch and always enjoy our visit. Dan is a great host and very friendly. We were also lucky enough to meet the owner, who is such a nice chap, and we are now discussing having my 50th birthday party there. Dog-friendly too, which is essential in Yarm

Great party venue. Intimate size. Split into two sections. We attended a brilliant birthday bash. Lovely staff and hard working security staff.

Drink prices outrageous. 7.40pm on a dead wednesday night and I've just been told I can't eat my peanuts whilst drinking my overpriced lager. Won't be back.

Went for brunch rip off board of cheese grapes and olives no cocktails choice of larger or Prosecco wanted us to share one bottle between 6 of us really bad at £35 a pop for each person Dj was vrery rude asked for birthday request and dismissed us would not go again

Extremely poor service waited over 30 mins for a breakfast , people in before is getting served. Ended up having to leave and get a refund, poor customer service from girl serving us.

My poor score is purely based on the disgusting behaviour I experienced and others from the door staff at Luna Blu. I attended an engagement party on the 23rd March and we were all having a lovely time until the door staff started coming into the venue, telling the ladies to put thier shoes on, asking the actual person who had got engaged to leave in a very aggressive manner. Really uncalled for attitude. They weee allowing people onto the private party who were not invited and when told this were full of attitude. Then at the end of the evening when we all were leaving the for staff member with dark hair, beard and very thick glasses (bad eye sight) took it upon himself to man handle a member of the party. Again very aggressive and uncalled for as he was only waiting for his sister. The whole situation blew up and caused a massive argument that was really avoidable, if the door staff had any manners and professionalism. I would urge the owner to watch back your cctv and never have those door men and women again. It ended with the engaged couple being really upset which is just awful. I personally wouldn’t step foot in your establishment again after the au they spoke and treated people.

My cousin & I were enjoying our afternoon amble in Yarm. We had rejected other cafés & pubs based on their limited menu options as we didn't want a big lunch in a noisy ambience. How pleased we were to see the very flexible menu options in Luna Blu so took advantage of the range of breakfast items available until 2pm. 'Eggs your way' reflects the service that is customer-considerate, a rare quality these days. My goodness did Josh excel in demonstrating that principle. He listened to our preferences and the chef came up with eggs our way, a refeshing change from many establishments where it's 'one style fits all'. We look forward to returning to sample the tapas with more of Josh's blend of personable service and respectful humour. Thank you

Party of 5 for Mother’s Day celebration. We arrived at 1pm and had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. When eventually seated, we were seated at what was clearly a drinks table with low chairs, which was denied by the staff. We had booked for Mother’s Day lunch over a month ago so we asked to be moved, which was ultimately honoured, albeit to another drinks table but a little better. Unfortunately, things only went downhill from there. 20 minutes elapsed before our food order was taken, with food then taking approximately an hour to arrive. The food arrived all at once in a rush, with the servers pushing things onto the table haphazardly causing cutlery etc. to fall onto the floor, with no apology given for the lateness of the food or lack of attentiveness. The food was generally overpriced, bland or overcooked/undercooked, with items having to be sent back. Despite the above, we did attend on recommendation and judging from previous reviews it appears that more recently standards have slipped and there are far too many customers being booked in, far more than the staff can manage effectively. The staff appeared overworked and stressed and mostly we felt sorry for them. Things must improve and quickly. We would not be right back.

Went as a large group for a birthday. We booked early as it was a Saturday and we expected it to get busy but it was already quite crowded at 4pm. Personaly I ordered the Paella and skin on fries which was a huge letdown. The rice was very mushy and the seafood was overcooked too. As for the skin on fries they were more like Tesco frozen fries no skin in sight.

Visited this restaurant yesterday for a special occasion. Booked the table for 2pm. Ordered our food and drinks. Food did not arrive until 3.35pm. But before that we were told we had to vacate the table at 4pm. Brought this to the attention of what we assumed was the manager, as we hadn’t been served until 20 minutes before having to leave the table. We finally got our meals, but the charcuterie platter did not arrive with the other meals, why when there was no cooking involved I don’t know. Young waiter came and said at 4pm the table was now booked for others and we had to leave. Told her what the manager had said, but we still had to leave. In my opinion the restaurant is trying to get as many people through the door but very much lack customer service. We’ll have your money, don’t really care about your experience. Will not be returning

Steak sandwich was very good, definitely recommend. Pre booked the afternoon tea, so a little surprised by the wait, staleness of the scones, and the tea on offer was not loose leaf. I am not sure whether it is unfair to review them on their afternoon tea when I think tapas and cocktails appeared to be their speciality. A lovely warm clean place to eat and spend time.

Cocktails were nice however it took about half an hour to get served. Food was hit and miss, The sauces were a hit but the paella was a huge miss! the most tasteless food ever to be served, the seafood took 5 minutes to chew and tasted of dishwater. Love Karen.

Really enjoyed my first visit to LunaBlu, which took place during the Monday night quiz. The venue was packed and there was a great atmosphere. I couldn't fault the service and really enjoyed the food. All the staff were friendly and attentive and looked after us all extremely well. I'm very much looking forward to repeating the experience.

Great cocktails, nice decor, but why is the music nearly deafening? Everyone there was straining to talk and socialise, and it'd be a great place to do so, but some doyle has decided people prefer to be drowned out by music.

If you are looking for a place to eat lunch in Yarm, and you find yourself at the door step of Luna Blue; know that you have made the right choice. The bread and steak sandwich with French fries is the perfect combination, bread perfectly soft and the steak is to die for!

Sat outside on a lovely sunny day after a stroll down Yarm High Street on a busy Friday which in itself is perfect on a warm day. I got new potato and green bean and pesto salad which was so tasty. My mum got the belly pork which was delicious. Staff were attentive and gave you time to choose what you wanted from the menu.

Food was a bit pricy for the quantity, but very tasty. Great atmosphere and the staff were lovely

Our first choice dish, smashed advacado on soda bread toast with poached eggs was inedible and returned twice. We swopped to other dishes from the tapas part of the menu, which were much better. Service was good and they responded well when we changed food dishes, thanks for that. Nice place, liked the layout. Background music was just right for time of day and how many people in the place.

Visited for a private party and plan on visiting for some food soon as the food at the party was lovely. Will update when I do!

Went as a group of 8 for bottomless brunch, serving size was appalling, the board pictured was to share between 4 adults. There was 4 slices of parma ham/prosciutto, 4 slices of chorizo, some cheese and mozzarella balls, 8 olives and about a jar of peppers and cornichons and an artichoke. Felt that the food did not represent what you should have for 32.50 per head. Drinks choice was poor too. The bread basket that came was also equally small.

We went for coffee and cake, got the coffee, but had to chase for the cake.. To the extent they gave us another coffee for free. Sorry, but the service was very slow.

We had afternoon tea which was amazing..very well presented..good variety..would definitely go back again staff very friendly x

We love this place! Food has a really good selection of small tapas style plates, the prawns are amazing! Excellent cocktails done correctly by the very experienced bar team. All the staff are very friendly and attentive to your every need. Can honestly say we never had a bad meal and we've been going there since it opened. Very good wine selection also.

A lovely bar on Yarm High Street, a great coffee and cake deal. We will be coming back to try out the other cheesecakes. Staff were really welcoming too, and really friendly! A really nice place highly reccomend!

Decor beautiful. Food terrible. Really looking forward to Egg Benedict. Eggs like bullets came with bacon you couldn't cut. And it was look warm. My partner had a full English and for the price. A disgrace

One might say.... why give this establishment any stars at all given they had no food whatsoever ? For the price I paid for one soft drink I could have put in a takeover bid for a local firm in Durham !. But this is ... YARM the undisputed jewel in the crown of Teesside. The two lovely girls here , Gemma and Charlotte were appropriately apologetic but not overly so because it wasn't their fault the chef hadn't turned up !. They probably didn't need to spell this out for the locals but for me....... the.outspoken day - tripper from Durham a different matter. I enjoyed some good craic with these girls then Charlotte had the good grace to recommend a restaurant across the cobbles that did excellent food. Excellent it turned out 2 b btw. We sat down had to ask for a menu ordered a drink at the bar no house wine next option is £23.99 nobody asked what we wanted they all stood there rubbish service won’t come again gave it the benefit of the doubt feel like you are doing them a favour can’t be bothered

Went here for the first time today. When we entered there were only a few other people in the restaurant. We were approached in a timely manner and drinks orders were taken. A few minutes later our drinks arrived and we ordered food. We sat for ages before approaching someone as we had been sat for 45 minutes. Turns out the printer in the kitchen had decided not to print out order, I was a bit miffed as the staff hadn't picked up that we hadn't been given our food even after walking past numerous times and as I said, the restaurant was quiet. Once they realised they were very apologetic and a goodwill gesture was made which made up for the delay. The food was well priced and very nice. We will definitely be back 👍

Really relaxing, chilled place with cool music playing. Has outdoor seating to the front on the pavement. Stylish interior. Very clean. Polite, pleasant service. Oh, and the food was very, very good. To drink, I had sparkling raspberry rhubarb with cayenne. It came with gold straws, in a substantial heavy cut glass tumbler. I had the feta, pepper and olive salad with a side of skin on fries. It was all delicious and plentiful. I shall try their parmesan and Truffle fries next time. Highly recommended and yes, I shall revisit when next in Yarm.
