Pear Tree Inn in Welwyn Hatfield

Stayed here for two nights whilst attending a wedding nearby. The smallest room I have ever stayed in, definitely not fit for 2 people. The smallest 'double bed' i have ever slept on. Only one towel in the bathroom. Absolutely rubbish water power in the shower. A lot of noise from people outside the pub on both nights, meaning no sleep until 12am at the earliest. Not ideal if you have to get up early the next day. Hard work opening all the doors you have to get through (with keys). Noise when anyone opens/closes their door/walks down the corridor, waking you up.Overall, the worst place I have ever stayed. Travelodge is 5 stars in comparison (and I tend to stay clear of them).Reception was inside the pub. Got there on a Friday evening, pub was very noisy and had a council crowd.

Really a noisy pub not designed for accommodation. Rooms nor serviced and situated above a very very noisy pub, up a metal outside staircase. No breakfast, no food kitchen closed. Could not sleep for the three nights as first night noise to 11.30, second night to 2am and third night to 12.30 with walks shaking with the music belowOnly thing in favour was proximity to Game Fair at Hatfield House.Fee for room was taken two days before we arrived

We had our wedding reception here and the staff were really helpful. The buffet was lovely and plenty of it. The function room is nicely decorated and completely independent from the pub. We also had sole use of the garden. We also booked a room for the night which was very nicely decorated and very comfortable. Our only criticism would be that there is no breakfast availability.

The room was clean The bed was really good Bathroom good, apart from the shower head being too low. It was inline with my face and i'm not tall.

Good service and good value. Tables are clean and well spaced. Been a couple of times now and always found it to be good.

Very average pub unfortunately the wrong crowd of people are known to hang around here so not so welcoming at times .....

Fuimos aquí ayer para una recepción para un bautizo y fue genial. La sala era de un tamaño realmente bueno y fuimos directamente a el jardín de la cerveza que tenía cosas que hacer para los niños y un buen espacio para los adultos para relajarse. El curry nos hicieron era tan bueno!! El personal detrás de la barra era rápido y muy amable. Los precios de las bebidas eran muy razonables. Lugar muy agradable.

Pub Pear Tree ha sido siempre conocido como un peligroso en el área! pub No importa lo que intenta hacer para que nada puede cambiar. Que recientemente han abierto el pub para cenar. Personalmente creo que la comida es normalita, pero lentamente va cuesta abajo cada día. Quizás 1 copa aquí y luego?

The Pear tree is a large well established pub. It has recently had a makeover in an effort to promote its' restaurant. The menu is average pub fare. The food was well presented and the staff efficient and polite.

Fuimos para una comida después de una comida horrible (una hamburguesa)en un restaurante justo al final de la carretera. El personal y la dirección donde educado y amable. Pedí una hamburguesa de queso y tocino. También me sorprendió muy agradablemente. No sólo era bien presentado también probado fantástico y el precio estaba bien vale la pena. Gracias a todos los que me hizo sentir como en casa. Volveremos pronto
