Never again! I ordered sweet and sour chicken and kung po and we couldn't eat them.They tasted disgusting and left us both unwell.

Rude rude service. And they messed up our chow mein (ordered chicken and got beef) and they wouldn't reimburse or fix. Avoid

I decided to treat myself and my child to a meal at home, but it was not to be. The delivery was 45 minutes late, and the noodles were on top of chili peppers, although chili peppers were not in the description of the dish on the menu.When I asked why there was so much pepper, the waiter gave me a stupid answer: it was just a little pepper sauce, although I pulled out a lot of chopped red chili peppers from the dish. The dish was impossible to eat! And the beef meet I ordered was old and smelly cooked in some kind of slime-like substance! Pak Chou was bitter because it was cooked incorrectly! It's a shame, wasted money, wasted time. And it's a shame that when you expect professional service, the other end of the line is talking such nonsense that you don't want to order from restaurants ever again!

After waiting for 1 hour and 10 minutes for our food to arrive we had high expectations wrongly thinking that Paya would have been beavering away cooking our food from scratch. How disappointed we were. My wife ordered Peppercorn Salt Tofu and I had it with chicken. Both were re-fried and dried out layered in almost raw onions and carrots. I had the Chicken in Black Bean Sauce which was tasteless and gloopy, like they had just thickened a watery sauce with cornflower. My wife’s Szechuan Stir Fry Tofu was again tasteless and floating in almost raw vegetables as was her Stir Fried Mixed Vegetables. Now, I’m no Ken Hom but believe me I know how few ingredients go into making a takeaway Chow Mein Chicken. In my 60 years on this planet I had never had a bad Chow Mein until last night. Raw carrots, raw onions, tasteless and a pointless game of spot the chicken. My Pork Ribs in Sweet Peking Sauce were small, bite size lumps of gristle that resembled ribs in the same way a pebble resembles the white cliffs of Dover. In fact the only two edible items on our £70+ bill were the Crispy Vegetable Rolls and the Egg Fried Rice. In the past we’ve always received a bag of prawn crackers but not this time. We have been ordering from Paya for almost 10 years but will never do so again.

Most rude person who picked up the phone. Wouldn't help me when I told him his driver just rode off with my food.

NO FLAVOUR AND TASTELESS, watery with small portions, rude staff especially the manager, got a bad stomach ache after eating this food,food hygiene inspection well needed, GO ELSEWHERE.

After waiting for over an hour for our food delivery, we then have half filled containers. We wouldn't mind so much, but if you are ordering sweet and sour chicken at 10.59, you don't expect half container. Never ordering from them again!!!! Complete rip off.

Ordered lamb curry, what little meat was in there was beef, the rest was some sort of onion curry. My other half has previously enjoyed food from here but will certainly not be ordering again.

My only complaint is that the delivery takes too long, but the food is so good it makes the waiting worth while. Duck spring roll is delicious!

Ordered a family take out on Saturday night and received what can only be described as a below average meal. Ordered a Pad Prik Pao stir fry and received some bizarre curry dish. Called up to complain and was told the chef has changed recently and all chefs have different recipes. I didn’t accept this explanation and was told to keep the dish and they’d send a replacement. A new dish arrived which looked completely different and thankfully resembled what I was expecting (but tasted awful!!). The delivery driver then asked for the old dish back and accused me of eating half of it despite complaining about it….I explained it was on our plates and I could scoop it up for him if he’d like, but he stormed off in a huff!!! All recorded on my Ring doorbell!! Appalling food and awful service - never again!

We did order food during the week. It came late and it was cold food.chicken king po was smelling and tasted off.next day my husband got food poisoning .its been 3 days and he is still unwell.i will never in my life will order food from them.

Edit 2- Went to order last night after a year of not ordering from her. My order that once was £24 is now £40. I understand prices go up but it isn't justified here. Asparagus is £2. They charge £10. Mock duck in a can is £1.50, pancakes £0.80p, cucumber and spring onions £0.30p(based on portion you get) hoisin sauce 50p(based on portion you get). That's £3.10 it costs them to make the dish ..They charge £12. If it was £8 like it used to be, they'd still have £4.90 profit. This place is greedy and it's so expensive for the amount you get. Edit- Leaving my last review still so people know what has changed. They have since removed themselves from the cheeky tuesday(just eat) offer and marked some of the prices up £2. This means a Tuesday Treat that cost £24(without price increase and WITH offer) is now 29.60. Unfortunately, the food is good but i wouldn't pay that much for just 3-4 dishes. 2 veggie ducks were 8.60 EACH, making it 17.40 then 13.92(with offer) now it is 10.40EACH making it 20.80. I only ordered for their mock(vegetarian and vegan) duck. However, now I can't justify the price. I love love love their food. It is on the pricey side, so I do only get it during Cheeky Tuesday(just eat, 20%off £15). On the Paya website, they have added vegetarian duck in a main dish, which just eat doesn't have. This is a shame. Luckily I love tofu, so it doesn't effect me ordering. This is the only Chinese restaurant that does vegetarian duck, and there is always plenty, nice full tummy. I try to order weekly. Please add more mock meats into dishes, so us vegans have a place to keep ordering from when fancying Chinese and not just having to go for veggies and tofu. Delivery men are both nice and kind, always smiling. Always the same 2. So glad I found this place, loved it for over 2 years now.

Will never use again! Food was delivered extremely late and after contacting the restaurant multiple times the food finally arrived… cold. Spoke to the restaurant again who were extremely rude and eventually put the phone down on me. Used these weekly for couple of years now and this has become a regular occurrence, quality has completely gone out the window now. AVOID.

AVOID! We ordered from here and have been incredibly poorly with food poisoning for the last couple of days after eating the chicken dishes. Years ago this place was good but in recent years, each order gets progressively worse. Will never eat from here again.

Delivery was over 30 mins late. Food was rubbish, staff were horrible and unhelpful and not direct. I had to go back and forth before finally being told I’m getting a refund. I highly suggest not using this place. Never even got my refund, bunch of liars.

I order from here often and while the prices are above average the food is usually good. Large order one night which included satay, what we got was watery soy sauce instead. I submitted complaint but no response. Wouldn't mind if there's the odd slip in quality but nobody responded or reached out. For those prices you'd expect better customer service.

Fake Chinese food, avoid please, never send order waiting time very long needs to call and call to cancel the order from Uber Eat.!!!!!

Paya deliver consistently late. We order through Just Eat and the restaurant update the order to say it's on its way but it never is. The food is usually good once it arrives but last night the chicken satay was dry and whatever sauce they sent with it was not peanut sauce. The chicken chow mein was flavourlessand also dry. A real disappointment and I don't think we'll order from there again.

Paya do some lovely dishes especially the Thai. Delivery has been consistent each time but they massively let them selves down on the limited main dishes via Just Eat. Really limited vegetarian dishes that is. Most if not all options require a "meat" to be added. Simply add options where "vegetables" or "tofu" is a choice. It isn't hard and would go a long way. Also on the expensive side compared to other competitive take aways in the local area. Which isn't a problem if the quality of dishes could reflect this.

2 hour plus wait. Didn't answer phones though they were just sat by them, when we drove to see where food was. Food quality was poor also didn't get the order correct.

Ordered a takeaway this evening took nearly an hour to deliver 4 items to my house which is a 6 minute drive away. The food wasnt good at all meat singapore noodles with 4 slithers of chicken not a single prawn and 3 slithers of carot so dry we could not eat it. Pork steamed dumplings that were thick and chewy with strange looking white patches on them and tasted horrible and egg fu yung that was so salty it couldnt be eaten only good thing was the crispy duck which was nice but came with the driest cucumber and spring onion iv ever seen again unedible. At nearly 10 pound and more for every single dish they sell i found the quality appaling and would not recommend them to anyone and will never order from them again if i could give 0 stars i would. Very disapointing waste of money.

Had an order tonight, the chicken wings were undercooked so called for a refund for them, only 2 hours later my partner is super poorly from the rest of the food. Used to love this place, but this was the final straw. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

The food here is absolutely fantastic! Not greasy in the slightest and full of flavour. The staff are lovely also. My new favourite Chinese restaurant. Would definitely recommend.

£7.45 for one slice of prawn toast. Yes, you read that right, one piece of bread. Perfectly tasty food but not value for money.

Highly recommended place. My expectations of this place wasn't good because I'm not really int noodles etc.... But after trying this place I don't think anyone can go wrong. On top of this the experience was very good as I was always looked after .

It was my 1st time ordering from this resturant and the over all experience wasent to bad. I ordered sweet and sour pork with egg fried rice and banana fritters. The main dish was very yummy but the banana fritters werent very nice. I shant order them again. I think the biggest thing that lets this resturant down is its very expensive. My dinner and pudding and acan of fanta came to £18.

If you don’t mind your order arriving over 90 mins late and cold despite being told repeatedly it’s 10 mins away for each time you call, this restaurant is for you.

Ordered food from uber eats, delivery was ok. As for food STAY if you wanna live. I have very strong stomach, yet I got very bad food poisoning, whole day on a toilet and a bad ache. Most of the food went to the bin, where it belongs.

Ordered 8.45pm Monday night, food arrived 1hr 45 mins later. We live 7-8min drive away. Food was expensive, lukewarm and undercooked. I don't recommend this place after that experience and will not be ordering again.

We have been regular customers of Paya Radlett for many years - I am very sorry to say that in the last 12 months their service and quality of food has gone totally downhill. The main dishes are basically fried onions with a few bits of meat and sauce. The noodles are a ratio of onions 70% Noodles 30% They hardly ever deliver on time and we always have to call to find out where the food is Its a real shame as we used to enjoy their food but we will not be returning again

Food isn’t very good and expensive for what you get.

They accept orders and make you wait over an over hour before they cancel your order. So not only is the food overpriced but it’s also an awful service, I highly recommend avoiding.

I ordered food through Just Eat last night. The food wasn't delivered and then when I chased it Just Eat said it had been delivered and there was nothing they could do. Essentially Just Eat were happy for us to have paid and were washing their hands of anything else. I then called the restaurant and they had delivered to the wrong address for some reason. Nevertheless PAYA remade the food and delivered it to us, reasonably quickly with apologies. The food was very good. Terrible service from Just Eat, good food and service from PAYA.

Very disappointing. Paid £30 for Hors d'oeuvres, Chicken in salt and pepper, and singapore noodles. Much of the hors doeuvres was poor, especially the prawn toast which might as well have been re-fried bread. The chicken in salt and pepper had a few chilli seeds scattered in a very average chip shop batter. The singapore noodles was a tiny portion (didn't even fill a small takeaway tub) with little meat or fish and it wasn't even mixed, so just a big clump of noodles basically. Stuuningly bad.

I had try few items after this premises came under new owner and food was delicious and quality has changed a lot. I would say - it's different level. My gf who usually don't get happy easily with food anywhere 😉 she loved it. Great food, delicious taste.

ABSOLUTELY REVOLTING!!!! Ordered what would usually be around £30 and it came to £47!!!!!!! Wouldn’t be the end of the world if it was edible!! The food was cold and disgusting... we were absolutely starving but made the conscious decision after sampling to throw it all in the bin DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT..... GOD ONLY KNOWS WHAT THEIR KITCHEN LOOKS LIKE!!!!

We had a poor experience with this takeaway a couple of months ago (cold, bland food) but it said on just eat that it had changed ownership so we tried it again. We wish we hadn't! It quoted 45 minutes to come and after an hour I phoned them. It took another 15 minutes to come after that (an hour and 15 total at least) which was silly as it is 10 minutes away. We ordered a king prawn dish with chillies which actually was nice (hence the 2 stars rather than one), but everything else was AWFUL. Not just bad, but REALLY bad. The fried noodles were so undercooked, dry and crunchy that they were inedible. The king prawn balls were cold and the batter was not very nice. The chips were cold and soggy. The seaweed didn't even have the usual fish mix on top despite being advertised as this on their own website. We will never be eating here again! In addition, the £1.50 delivery charge isn't really displayed in an obvious place on their website, and it adds it on at the end after you've chosen everything rather than indicating somewhere before hand that all deliveries are chargeable. Really disappointed!

Had take away last night. It wasn't very hot when it arrived and all the food was dry and fairly tasteless. Everything seemed over cooked. I woke up this morning with a explosive belly. It has not been a fun day working outside in the heat.

Not going to lie but the chicken Thai curry was soooo runny, I had to chuck it in the bin. There was no usual Thai curry kick in it possibly due to the amount of water that was in it. Chicken satay was stringy as anything that my 6 year daughter had to comment on it. The usual knife to eat could not cut it. Not going back there in a hurry tbh. Order wisely if you do. #wasteofmoney Sorry it was a takeaway order.

Food was delivered before the estimated hour. This is the third time we have used them and enjoyed everything we have had. A bit expensive but delicious. Can't fault it and until I have a bad experience will continue to use them.

First of all the food is disgusting. I found out from a friend that the chefs sleep in the kitchen. A friend of mine works there. The staff are very rude, deliveries are always late. I have even been told by one of the staff that one of the drivers have been pinching the food on their way to delivery!!

I was genuinely worried about ordering from this venue, having read the poor reviews, however, I am a strong believer in trying the food and service before and making my own decision. I have now used this service twice and can honestly say that food has been good and delivery well within the expected time limits. I can therefor recommend the restaurant.

Very disappointed. The portion sizes may be good and the food tastes ok but the delivery service is awful. When I called (a Tuesday night) I was told my food would be around 40 minutes. An hour and 20 minutes later and it finally arrived cold. Not sure I would bother to order from there again. There are much cheaper places that can deliver within a reasonable time.

It was a toss up of 1 or 2 stars for this place. I went for 2 as nothing was horrendous. I ordered 3 items and they came to £18.35 plus £1.50 delivery. The comparative in the other local Chinese/Thai is £12. Quite some difference. I went with it though thinking that what they have to order must be yummy. I was wrong. The Singapore noodle had a spicy - as in hot temperature - taste to them, which only served as to try and mask the fact that they were decidedly lacking flavour and were really dry, it was an effort to eat through them, so I only managed half a tub. The sweet and sour chicken balls were not too bad actually. Although the chicken was a bit tough, at least you know it was cooked properly. The Pad Thai was a complete disaster. It was like no Pad Thai I have had before, or would ever want again. The boyff didn't like it, I didn't, even the dog left it. We got some chopsticks though :) For for nearly £20 on 3 items of not good at all food, this is a fail and I won't be using them again.
