The food was certainly delicious in this cosy, very busy restaurant. Staff are friendly and attentive. The restaurant is small and tables close together which gives a shared experience and intimate atmosphere. Definitely a dining must, with sming faces everywhere.

Excellent meal here at a very reasonable price. Service pleasant and efficient. All good.

Risotto was tasteless, fish grill was burnt & seafood fried antipasti tasteless again. not sure how this restaurant could be italian. Pizza was ok.

Pavarotti's in Shanklin was an absolute delight! The food was outstanding—we enjoyed a perfectly cooked lamb dish and a delicious lobster tagliatelle. The olives, breads, and other starters were also top-notch. The atmosphere was fantastic, with a lively buzz throughout the restaurant, and the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. Dean, our server, made the night truly special with his excellent service. One small downside is that tips given by card don’t go directly to the staff—only cash tips do. It’s an archaic practice that will hopefully change soon, but it didn’t affect our overall experience. Pavarotti's is easily one of the best restaurants in the area. The rest can't compete—especially if you’re tired of the typical deep-fried calamari fare. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a genuine Italian dining experience!

Authentic, family owned Italian restaurant with character and great food. I can’t honestly remember the last time I had food that was that tasty for the price we paid. Bravo We also didn’t book, and we were lucky to get a table, so I’d suggest making a reservation.

During my recent visit to Shanklin on the Isle of Wight, I had the pleasure of dining at Pavarottis in the charming Old Village, not far from the Chime. This gem of a restaurant offers delicious Italian cuisine in a wonderful setting. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, enhanced by delightful decor that makes you feel right at home. The service was exceptional—swift, efficient, and friendly. For my meal, I enjoyed the seabass ravioli, which was simply delicious. To start, we shared a platter of whitebait, calamari, and king prawns, all perfectly cooked and absolutely mouthwatering. I highly recommend Pavarottis for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in Shanklin.

Can understand why this restaurant is so popular. The place was packed out on a Sunday night. Dispite this service and food was excellent could not fault it. Extensive menu. Advisable to book in advance.

Wonderful italian food, the ravioli was perfect and the tiramisu was the best too. Make sure to bring cash tips as that's all the servers get, and they work very hard.

We had the most amazing dinner, literally couldn't find a fault with anything. Such a lovely intimate setting, food was incredible and very reasonably priced too. Will definitely be back on our next visit

Fabulous food and great atmosphere

Fantastic independent family run restaurant, fresh food made from scratch, pizza was superb tasted brilliant & cost less than what the generic chain restaurant's provide. Wonderful vibe here, the staff will do their very best for you. Is quite small indoors, booking in advance or calling to check availability would be a good idea, it was packed when we dined here. But I can see why, shared starter, main meal & bottle of prosecco for 3 people came to around £60. If staying at a hotel nearby Pavarotti's is a must if you like Italian food, hill is a bit steep if walking unsure of nearby parking as we were staying around the corner on our trip.

My wife had the most wonderful sea bass and I had Lamb with onion and mushrooms which very nice . Great food and great service

Amazing food with a great menu with lots of traditional dishes to choose from ,quality of the food was exceptional and the size of third dishes was the only issue so you won't go hungry😋.what tops this place off is the host Lizzy the owner she makes you feel like you at home and need served by your mother 🥰.

We ate there as a group of ten people. We had booked and the table was ready but the restaurant was busy so it was a slow start. I had a good plate of mussels which were on the small side, not as good as Scottish ones with a lovely tomato sauce. Also a seafood pasta dish which was ok. The menu is too large, vegetables tend to be overcooked and there is no salad dish. Attention is needed on the menu but it seems popular so it will probably not happen.

As you walk in, the restaurant just feels great, homely, welcoming, and the food is simply outstanding! We booked a second visit before we had finished. Highly recommended +++

Pleasant Italian restaurant, good value

A nice little cosy, authentic restaurant in the beautiful old Shanklin! I had the penne arrabbiata which was delicious and spicy. Good food, great atmosphere and lovely couple who run it. The only thing I would suggest is that the place could do with a lick of paint and a ‘freshen up’ - but apart from that it was great.

Disappointing meal here after reading all the glowing reviews we had high expectations. Whilst the pizza was ok the restaurant itself was grubby with dirty cutlery and glassware, stained walls, and please, if you’re going to have an open kitchen, then at least clean the food splatters and grease off the Perspex screen so diners can actually see in!

Absolutely amazing food once again and very reasonably priced. We will be visiting again very soon. Highly recommend.

Stumbled across Pavarotti's whilst staying in Shanklin, they had just re-opened after their winter break. The menu was huge and the food delicious (I had chicken in mushroom sauce and my husband had sea bass) The staff were friendly, service excellent and we just wished we lived closer to return!

I visit Shanklin once or twice a year to see my parents. I don't always get a chance to eat at Pavarotti's but when I do I have always had a great experience. The menu is extensive and the staff go out of their way to make sure you have a good time. The food is always good and reasonably priced.

Loved this place! Proper Italian food and atmosphere! The food was delicious (we had a tagliere, pasta, and fish 👌🏼)! The owner was super friendly too! Lots of options for those allergic to gluten!

Visited this restaurant in late August 23 and proposed to my partner with three other friends in attendance. Great place and amazing food (better than most with ate in Italy a week later). The host was amazing (unfortunately forgot her name)and the staff made us very welcome. Will definitely be back next time we are visiting family in Portsmouth.

I always wondered what the ambulances were for when they were driving through Shanklin, it's for people having a heart attack when receive the bill, noone mentions in reviews about the prices on menu are before vat, we didn't notice this on menu but were told by lovely couple sat next to us that this is the case but food good and Italian wine good, it'll be just special occasions when we go back

Oh my gosh you need to eat here. Food, atmosphere, prices all absolutely amazing. But make sure you book before you arrive or the day you do for the week ahead.

The food was delicious, we had the mixed platter to start. I had tagliatelle creamy mushrooms. My partner had pasta with tomato and meats. For a sweet I had the home made lemon pie and she had home made tiramisu. Good selection of wines and the coffee is excellent all so. The bill was reasonable too. I would recommend booking a very busy popular place.

This is a lovely Italian restaurant, we came down to Shanklin for a weeks holiday and ate here three times with all the family, the food was delicious and the staff were very accommodating and courteous, would highly recommend.

Lovely homemade authentic Italian food, warm reception from owner and plenty of attention from her. Sadly spoiled by unprofessional service from young people who just wanted to go home at 9.15pm on a Saturday night. Was a chore to clear our dinner plates and give us dessert menu so we left promptly.

We ate there this evening and generally it was ok but at no point were we asked if the food was ok, even when the plates were cleared and one of our party had left their plate mainly uneaten (fish risotto) as the sea food was overcooked, rubbery and over seasoned. This was not even noticed by the serving staff when you would expect them to question the amount of food left on the plate. The person in my party didn't want the hassle of bringing it up so maybe the owner reads this, takes note and maybe issues a refund for that dish, I can live in hope.

We ordered the pizzas and they were okay, nothing particularly great unfortunately but the staff were lovely and went all out to give a good service.

Lovely meal. I had chicken & bacon in creamy sauce which was delicious. My wife had duck breast & peppercorn sauce, absolutely stunning, only fault was potatoes were black & burnt but rest of veg good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Decent standard of food, mussels X2 which quite a few were unopened, swordfish, red snapper with mixed vegetables good. Ordered prosecco to enjoy with meal , no ice bucket provided. Some service was a little sloppy, was a Sunday. Tables near the front window are close together a little claustrophobic if you prefer a bit of space. Overall not a bad meal, could be a better experience.

8pm reservation. They had no veal dishes, so we ordered pork. Pork was tasteless and overcooked. We didn’t send food back, but told the Maitre D, who joked about it. Lamb dish was good.They had no ice and server really wasn’t very polite. Great atmosphere but that’s all. Sad we chose this place when we only had 2 nights there.

Lovely family run Italian Restaurant Owner was very accommodating for 4 hungry cyclists on a very busy bank holiday weekend. They were fully Booked, but managed to squeeze us in and assured us our bikes wouldn’t be stolen from outside their restaurant..🚴😆. Food itself was fantastic Lovely staff, atmosphere and food. First visit as tourists. We ordered "Canarian potatoes " for a starter. Absolutely no resemblance. Just dry, boiled baby potatoes plonked on a plate. The mains were OK, but nothing special. The lady in charge was nice. Wouldn't go back.

I never write reviews but this place was so amazing it deserves one. The food was 10/10, the atmosphere was 10/10 and the staff was 10/10. It was like we had transported to Italy itself. I normally feel really on edge when we go out with our small children but we were made to feel so comfortable with the staff going above and beyond to help cater to our needs without us even having to ask. It felt like we were in the company of family, eating at home. Thank you to all and we cannot wait to visit again.

Oh my goodness! Mama and her chefs are amazing¡!!! I asked if I could have vongole which wasn't on the menu and she said "of course!" Next night we went back and had lobster linguine.... Unbelievable!!!!! Highly recommend it here!!!!?

Authentic. It isn't Zizzi or Pizza Express. It's a place that prepares food with love and a quaint atmosphere. I'm worried they'll retire. Get in there quick. We'll be back.

We’re on a last minute trip to the Isle of Wight, my fiancé and I and my cousin. I must admit, I was a bit dubious, going to a Pavarotti themed restaurant but apart from a bit of an interesting decor choice, I soon forgot about it. The owner and her family are lovely and funny. My fiancé is vegetarian and she had plenty of choice, my cousin doesn’t like fish and again, plenty of choice. I eat anything so had all the choice! The portion sizes were excellent. Between us we had two starters, three mains, two desserts, two soft drinks and a bottle of wine and we had £10 change from £100! To summarise, lovely atmosphere, great food and value for money and if you don’t like Pavarotti, don’t worry!

Seafood platter was obviously recooked and overcooked produce. Sauté potatoes cooked from frozen and again overcooked. Very disappointed and will not book again.

I ate here at Christmas and it was the most amazing day, the food was to die for and the customer service was amazing. after finding out it was a family ran authentic Italian restaurant it completed the experience! our waiter tom was lovely and made the experience perfect! cant wait for the reopening to visit again.

We went on Saturday evening and found the hostess welcoming and friendly. The starter, focaccia and red onions was amazing, light and really tasty. My husband had chicken stuffed with sage in a red wine sauce which delicious and I had sea bass which was cooked with asparagus and ginger. So tender and fresh tasting. Our guest had sea bass with garlic and lemon which he really enjoyed. The vegetables were freshly cooked and plentiful. We felt guilty about ordering two portions of chips as we couldn’t finish them. Such a lovely place, will go again!

I visited this amazing place after it came highly recommended by a close friend who had been a loyal customer for years. We were certainly not disappointed, the atmosphere was fantastic, the staff very accommodating and the food was 👌 Really glad we ate there and I’m sure we’ll be back again at the first opportunity.

What a horrible woman. We didn't have a reservation so knew we might not get in, but to be greeted with "Can't you see how busy I am? Do you really think I can fit you in?" is really not on. We took a deep breath & asked if we could book in later in the week. Was almost offered a slot two days on until nasty woman intervened again & said she couldn't book us in until the following week (after we had gone home). Went up the road & had a great Italian 300 yards away. Sadly can't review food etc, as never given the chance to try it

Really enjoyed the food here. Hadn't booked, but fortunately was early enough to be accommodated as they were fully booked from 7pm onwards, which is always a good sign. Lovely service and the food was gorgeous, very authentic. Very fairly priced too. Would visit again if in the area.

A lovely evening was had by us in this busy but amazing restaurant. Cannot fault the quality of the food, and the staff can’t do enough to make your experience the best. The best meal any of us had eaten in a long time, and value for money was good. We will book in for dinner here next time we plan to visit the island!

First time at Pavarottis - was lucky enough to get a table when I phoned ahead as apparently it gets busy and is very popular, and I can see why. The food and service were exemplary, and the prices are fair. My main plus a pudding with a pint of lager was less than £25 and the food was sublime. This will become a regular haunt, and tho it might mean you get a table, and I don't, I wholeheartedly recommend Pavrottis for fans of Italian cuisine, and also for anyone else who thinks they might like it. You will not be disappointed.

Loved this place, first time we went they squeezed us in, 2nd time we made a reservation. The atmosphere is great, the place is cosy , the food is fantastic and the servers are lovely.

Booked for two at 6pm (late September). Restaurant already half full. Service and food impeccable. We both had fish plates (sea bass fillets, mixed seafood platter) which come with vegetables or salad, potatoes or chips included in the price. Plus drinks. Wholesome, tasty and high quality food at a very reasonable price, as you'd expect from this restaurant, which has an established reputation already. Wholeheartedly recommended.
