Worst cafe in Derby. If I could have rated it zero I would have. Extremely rude staff. They need to be taught the meaning of customer service. I went in with my family. We ordered tea which was ok then ordered three bacon cobs. We were told there were no cobs available so they offered us white bread instead. After waiting a long time the sandwiches were delivered. The white bread had been slightly warmed through and slightly toasted. which we did not ask for. I asked the lady if I could have mine put on white bread but not to warm or toast it. She informed me there was no white bread left so I asked for a refund. A lady came over with the refund and slammed it onto the table then walked off. Later on a staff member came over and commented that the crusts of the bread had not been eaten. I asked why there had not been any more white bread available and she replied there was white bread available but it hadn’t been defrosted yet. I then said that the bread should be fresh and not frozen for a sandwich, she then replied “Well it’s up to you if you want to eat here or not” then walked away. I have got to say the manager needs to have a close look at the way this coffee shop is run and teach the staff some basic customer service skills. We will not be returning.

I've ended up at Dunelm several times in the past few days and been to the cafe twice. Bothe times, the place was spotlessly clean with tables properly wiped. All the staff have been friendly and helpful. The fully loaded brunch bap arrived promptly and was piping hot and delicious, with good quality ingredients. The toasted fruit bread and lemon cheesecake are hard to resist and the coffee is good too. Surprisingly for an in-store cafe, the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxed and there are various styles of seating, including comfy armchairs. I would definitely recommend

As with other reviews on trip advisor, the food delivery had not arrived (let down by supplier), jacket potatoes were priced to include salad, however salad was unavailable - but the price could not be adjusted to reflect this as the automated cash machine would not allow for any changes to be made to orders. On enquiring about potato fillings only 1 of 5 was available , we had waited 20 minutes to order to find that many of the menu options were in fact unavailable!. I enquired whether it would be possible to notify customers of the limited choice by way of a notice, enabling customers to decide if they would stay in the queue - I was informed tartly " I am too busy to put a sign up" exasperated I bought out drinks and left a message for the manager. I do hope that Dunhelm make an effort to improve the quality of service and food availability as it looks as though I am not the only customer to have such a poor experience.

Friendly staff and reasonable drinks. Mushroom soup dreadful, salty and oily. Cob dry and hard. Sandwich delivery hadn’t arrived hence limited choice. Unlikely to return unless desperate.

Called in for a quick lunch, having been several times before, and ordered soup. Never again!! It was mushroom( not my favourite) but when it came, it was a very dark brown colour and sooo salty, it was inedible. I had to leave it. My husband had the tomato and basil, said it wasn’t brilliant and there was no sign of any basil! Disappointing to say the least. The waitress was so busy behind the counter, I hadn’t the heart to hassle her any more. To be fair, she was very polite and smiley.

Awful ' food'! Shopping with a friend- we had 2 breakfast sandwiches. On receiving the sandwiches we had to ask what was in them besides an extremely fatty piece of bacon and half a sliced sausage and were told the yellow smear was scrambled egg! All the server said was that 'we don't make them here!' The cup of tea my friend had was awful too- even after leaving it to brew for some time it was still like dish water The manager was busy tucking into his meal and saw that we were complaining but didn't bother to ask us what the problem was.Will never eat here again- such a shame as the previous cafe that was here was fine.

Excellent food, very good value Excellent food, very good value. £5 for an excellent ham and cheese quiche with a mixed salad, chips, and a nicely _made crisp coleslaw. Choice of 3 soups. Gluten free rolls and other options. Spotlessly clean, tables promptly cleared and thoroughly cleaned. Enough space to feel comfortable from a COVID risk viewpoint. In Dunelm, Chance to use Dunelm products e.g. sit in a variety of their chairs and try out for personal comfort. 1st time eating in this cafe, will return.

If you want to waste 10 years of your life waiting to get served for a tuna panini that isn't that nice then this is the place for you if not I suggest trying elsewhere. It took two members of staff to make one cup of coffee honestly lost the will to survive

If you need a breather from wandering around the shop, there is only so many rugs, mirrors, duvets, household goods etc one can stomach then pause for a drink/bite to eat in the cafe, then carry on.
