I visited the Wellingborough cafe for breakfast, as I often did. We arrived when it opened at 10 am and was told that we could not have bacon or sausage until 10.30 am. When asked why the assistant informed us that she would not offer anything with meat in it as she was vegitarian. I do not hold this against her as she is entitled to eat what she wants, but she should not have been serving in the cafe unless she could prepare anything on the menu. We left and went to M&S for better service, and to be honest the food was better.

Best teacake ever a square one full of fruit, notthe stingy sort and lashings of butter served by a lovely member of staff working alone. Nice Yorkshire teabag in my pot Perfect hit the spot

Service was terrible. Kept me waiting at the till without acknowledging I was there. Finally took my order then spilt coffee grounds in the cup. Instead of getting a fresh cup just brushed it out with her hand. When the first jacket potato came it was burnt. The second wasn’t much better. Asked for a replacement but was told they were finished. All in all, the food was bad, the service was worse and the whole experience has left a horrible taste, and not just from the potato.

Terribly slow service in the cafe. Absolutely appalling. The staff were just chatting away and working at snails pace as if there wasn’t a big queue. It was almost painful to watch and I nearly left the line. A man from the floor came to help and he was very speedy which was refreshing to see. I get that you may be short staffed but I still feel this is no excuse for the completely relaxed attitude of the staff. And not even one person apologised for the wait. The food is good as always though.

The Pausa brand is nothing to write home about. Perfectly ok for a snack and they general get star rating according to their staff. Food (soup & teacake) with drinks filled a gap when we were visiting the shop. Food ok and staff just a bit better than normal but the ambiance just doesn't create a good impression - it's almost as if they have shoehorned Pausa into a tiny corner. Would use it again but not rushing back to do so

I visited the Pausa Coffee shop with my husband. We arrived at 9am, as soon as the store opened. We went up to the coffee shop and there was no-one behind the counter. I sat at a table and my husband waited at the counter. By 9.08am no-one had appeared so I went back downstairs and spoke to a lady at the door. She called through to someone on her headset and said they were "out the back" and someone would be with us soon. I went back upstairs and sat down at the table again. A short time after, a woman started walking into the cafe and said "Good God have you wet the bed?" I was so shocked I didn't respond and she then started muttering that she never had time to do anything and wished the cafe still opened at 10am. My husband paid for two drinks and two bacon baps and then sat down. She came over with the drinks and said "I can't bring you a spoon because of Covid, you need to get your own" which is fair enough and my husband got up and got a spoon. However, she then brought over the bacon baps, went back to the cutlery and brought a knife to the table saying "just in case you want to spread the sauce". There is either a Covid rule or there isn't??!! I have written a complaint, but have yet to receive a response. It's a great shame because the bacon baps were lovely but I don't expect to be spoken to in the manner we were and it has put me off from returning.

Came in today to have a coffee, waited at the counter and the lady behind stood in front of me making drinks, I waited for quite while and she didn't even acknowledge that I was there. I understand she was perhaps busy, although there were only two tables with people on and I was the only one at the counter but she stood in front of me and blatantly ignored me, she could have acknowledged me at least and said I won't be a minute. Not even eye contact, very rude. Left without purchasing and went to m &s where the service was excellent.

So I visited the cafe yesterday with my 11 month old son to escape the rain and have a coffee but sadly have to say I left very upset. My son is active and loves people and like all babies he doesn’t understand and does not want to just sit in a high chair at all times. I was told by a member of staff to CONTROL my son because he took a liking to the kitchen door. I wouldn’t mind but I kept picking him up and taking him back so he was not in the way and they could see that. I also when I arrived told a member of staff that he isn’t one for staying still for long so I asked be seated out of the way. I have to say I won’t be back and think that they should state that babies and children need to be seated at ALL times and under no circumstances can they move. Unless coming in or leaving

Went to the Dunelm in Nottingham. Absolutely disgusting stale cakes. Dry. Took about 15 minutes queuing behind 2 other people. When I finally got a cake it was dry as a bone and stale. Never again.

Stopped of for coffee and cake, none looked that enticing, but went for a cinnamon and apple scone, should have left it at only coffee. Staff friendly.

My wife and I called in on the off chance and noted that they had refurbished the original cafe. Now it was bright and the food display and variety on offer was improved. There were offers on display and we took advantage of one which was a bacon bap @ £1.50 if a coffee was also ordered . We had had two coffees and baps for only £7.90 . The food and coffee was excellent .

When ever we visit Kettering both my husband and I choose to visit Pausa Coffee in Dunelm. This little cafe is very popular and very good value. The staff are cheery, tables are self clearing i.e., you take your used cups etc away from your table when you've finished. Not much to ask us it?

It is very tempting to take in a coffee and cake while shopping in Dunelm Mill, especially on a Sunday morning. We gave in to temptation and had a scone each with tea and coffee. All was very good, particularly my latte. The cafe is not the prettiest or most comfortable in town, neither is it spotlessly clean but the prices are fairly cheap.

We often stop here for a coffee rather than visit one of the chain coffee houses as they serve better coffee and a good range of cakes and sandwiches and much better value than the aforementioned.

My husband and I started going here regularly for a breakfast bap because it was good value and the sausages and bacon were beautiful quality and freshly cooked. However, unfortunately, last time we went the bacon and sausage had been pre cooked and was not very pleasant.

There is a good deal on a breakfast roll with a hot drink but they microwave the bacon so it comes out tough. I did get it replaced but the next piece was still chewy. Drinks are good so in future I will choose from the cabinet - toasties or rolls.

Myself and my wife went into 16 March for one of the delicious breakfast baps - Lincolnshire sausage and omelette or bacon and omelette - together with large latte coffees. The server confirmed she would bring over everything to our table. Piping hot and very tasty baps came first and then 2 very large lattes with Italian biscuits.

NHSRF, lunch groups first lunchtime here. It was a very cold day, NO HEATING on inside, we sat in our coats!! Took an hour from time of order to get my food (a curry), my partner has the ‘special’ Tagaltelli !!! That was the WRONG PASTA. Very little choices for Veggies or anyone with a Gluten sensitivity. If you’re going to upset a couple with late food, DON’T do it to the organiser!!! Drinks were expensive. Quality and Quantity were excellent, Piping hot food on COLD PLATES!!! Sorry, but this group of 26 diners will not be returning.

Lovely village pub, delicious food and great atmosphere. Not busy at all on a Saturday afternoon. Nice side of the pub for a quiet drink then the other side is more family and watching the sports.
