Great service and food in a lovely atmosphere. Table clearing is a little slow sometimes.... but faultless otherwise!

Nice ambience and friendly staff. Bagels..... But little else on offer. That said my crushed avocado 🥑 and smoked salmon was spot on. It just needs a menu that offers more variety..... Quiches, Homemade Soups would be great additions. Located in The Old Town Hall. Fully Licensed and Coffee/Cake for afters.

Michael the barman went out of his way to make our experience special. The kitchen had just closed but he persuaded the chef to rustle up food for us. Attentive and caring. Thanks

Had a nice bacon baguette really nice good price but feel ripped of paying £3 for supposed American pancakes turns out they are mini ones with syrup, kind of feel I got ripped of there.

The Fordwich Arms has been on my bucket list for a little while. I used to go there when I worked in Sturry many years ago before it became famous. We booked a table for 2 via open table for lunch. Sadly, we were given a table in the bar. Generally this would be okay, but there were people just drinking on high bar stools directly in front of us (less than 2m) looking down on the table, which we both found off putting. They were quite loud. Now, generally in a pub, I wouldn’t mind that, but when you are paying £400 for a bottle of wine and a taster menu for two and a romantic meal, I don’t want people sitting at the bar staring down at me and being loud. The food itself was excellent, the Turbot and the Venison were two standout courses. Staff were attentive which was great. Wine list was good, if a little expensive. It hasn’t changed too much since the old days of being just a pub! If you book, ask for a table in the dining room, ask not to be sat in the bar and don’t leave it to chance!

The Beaney Cafe is spacious with high ceilings and probably a good place to meet with friends if you are a little bit unsure about meeting in a public place at the moment. The Earl Grey Cake was absolutely delicious and the staff, as always, are very obliging and friendly. Definitely recommend this as a place to meet with friends during this Coronovirus situation, as long as they stay open!
