Very good staff and service especially the apple pie but my friend is gluten free but no bread so no sandwiches for her and not one cake unlike what they had in Chester who had 3 different ones .

Dirty cups , dirty cutlery , waited about 10 minutes to be served there was only a2 ladies in front of me getting tea .. Ordered drink and cream tea and kids meal. Waited 20 minutes for a pizza for a 2 year old inedible burnt rock hard could have caused him a broken tooth. I told them he couldn’t eat it. I’ll put another one in she replied I said don’t bother. Scone was very dry like it was 5 days old. Young kids can’t run a cafe.

Staff is very kind and friendly. They should have more staff because this place is very popular in Garston. Best cream tea with sponge Kids eating for free 2 snacks drink and meal if adult spending f4. Amazing. I am coffee lover and staff knows i love very strong. Now i don't need to tell anything they know to give me extra shot espresso.

A great little cafe, staff under pressure whilst calmly serving (a line up of customers) with a smile on their face, they absolutely do their best to please customers! A particular mention for Chris, a super efficient young staff member, always pleasant and consistently looking for the next task! Menu is limited but sufficient, food is decent and always well presented. My big shout however goes to the staff who manage the cafe like clockwork! Well Done…

Love going to cafe for snack and a coffee and their coffee is lovely. The visit though was very disappointing we had to wait a really long time for the toast is we ordered by which time we had finished the coffee and were a bit strapped for time. Shame they were so short staffed.

Came to Dunelm yesterday for curtains with my friend and saw the coffee shop. We'd already had breakfast earlier so chose coffee and a chocolate éclair each. It was very nice and the lady who served us had just made some samples of strawberry frappe which she brought around for everyone to try. Nice friendly and clean environment which offers snacks.

I visited with my wife to get a sandwich for our lunch and decided to use the toilet, upon opening the door to the toilet I was greeted by excrement spread on the seat and basin and urine all over the floor. I reported this to the person who was on the floor and he stated that he knew the situation and would get to it when he was ready. Upon hearing this I went and told my wife and left , we could not eat there seeing this.

I'm generally a fan of costa coffee - the tiffin is usually great, the coffee is fine. However, on this occasion it just didn't work. Quite a limited choice of food on offer, and one of the least friendly customer teams I've come across. The toasted sandwich also tasted a bit stale frankly. There was also no decaf coffee on offer. The tiffin was lovely however. Not sure I'll visit this branch again soon - better off going to other places around the corner.

Popped in for a takeaway order sandwich and was not disappointed by the variety of choices available. Reaching later int he day there were still plenty of sandwich options to choose from including hot and cold options. Great little place really enjoyed the food!

I'm a 21-year-old guy from Denmark who was visiting Liverpool solo on a day Everton played a Premier League away match, and wanted to watch the game among local Evertonians. Perhaps looking like an alien in my yellow Danish club's shirt, I cautiously entered The Brick and, after introducing myself, was immedeatly taken in by a few guys. For the majority of the afternoon we talked and talked, they bought me beer on their own initiative, and I had the most wonderful time in The Brick. Even though Everton lost the game, everyone I talked to was always friendly, including the owner of The Brick, and I always felt welcome despite not being an Everton fan; everyone was an exemplary representative of Everton F.C. All in all, I was left with what I felt like was an authentic cultural exchange and English match-day experience, and I'd highly recommend the pub to anyone in the area.
