Paul's Plaice in Ealing

Been getting Paul's fish and chips takeaway regularly for over two years. Absolutely brilliant - fish always fresh, batter light and tasty, and the chips are always freshly cooked. Also super tasty lamb doner by the way - great chilli sauce.

Very welcoming. Basic shop with a few tables inside. Standard fish and chips menu with kebabs but well executed and good value for money. Not a gourmet place by any means but if you want decent fish and chips in this area I would recommend a visit.

Easily the best fish and chips I've had in London, and maybe even the best I've had anywhere. Have been here (and also ordered delivery) a few times over the past couple of months and it just couldn't be better. To have the fish freshly cooked for each order rather than taken out of a hot cabinet is practically unheard of these days but what a difference it makes. The chip portions are enormous, and the mushy peas and sausages in batter also great. My only problem with Paul's Plaice is trying to resist the urge to go there on a daily basis. Keep up the great work, guys!

Staying locally and thought I’d pop in as I fancied fish and chips. Haddock freshly cooked to order was melt in the mouth. Chips were perfectly cooked and not at all greasy, mushy peas finished it all off. Two very nice guys who were happy for me to sit in, even though they were busy with multiple orders. They obviously have lots of regular customers, and rightly so. Will definitely go again if I’m back in the area.

I have been using this fish and chip shop for over 35 years and I remember when Paul's dad ran the shop and Paul was a young lad helping behind the counter. The food is always fantastic here and the standards have never dropped. Just had three cod and chips delivered on deliveroo. Fresh fish cooked to order. cod, haddock and plaice plus fantastic kebabs. I can't remember having better quality fish and chips for a long time. This has to be the best chippy in West London. Highly recommended. Well done Paul and team. Here's to the next 35 years!!

Have been back a number of times to Paul’s Plaice. Still serving great freshly cooked fish. It is truly a jewel in the crown of North West London… Deserves another review..!!

This was my local chip shop as child and don’t get here often but just had a dinner kebab which is one of the best kebabs I have ever had, the chips are also very good. Would highly recommend

fish cooked to order doesent take long well worth the wait kebabs best in area salad allways crisp and fresh eat in or takeaway paul and thomas friendly can also get burgers,sausage,pies

We visit this place a lot and the fish is consistently ridiculously fresh and tasty. The best we've had in London. All food is tasty.

I Recently discovered Paul’s Plaice... It might be a small take away restaurant, but it truly serves excellent Fish and Chips. Fish is always cooked to order.. But the wait will be worth it.. Give it a try you will not be disappointed....

The fish is so fresh, the batter is light and well cooked. The chips are cooked really nicely and the portions are great. The nicest fish I've had in a very long time. Best fish and chips in Ealing. Definitely my new go to chip shop

Thought I would try this place again after first being here around 5 years ago and considered it decent compared to most of the local cat litter quality rubbish. Got there to make a simple order just for myself to be spoken to like I was some sort of idiot who failed to understand their menu. The lady was very polite but whoever the bloke was he wouldn’t get as far as peeling the potatoes back where I am from. THINK customer service.

Had a mixed doner kebab from here , it was lovely fresh salad and lovely chips ! Very love people that works there as well clean and friendly!!

I remembered how good this place was from a couple of years ago when I was staying at a nearby hotel so was looking forward to my Plaice and Chips and I was not disappointed! Freshly battered and cooked fish, crispy outside and moist inside and not greasy. Chips as good as you can get from a chippy. Great hotel meal for under a tenner!

One of the best chicken doner I’ve tried in my life,fresh salad and tasty garlic and chilli sauce definitely will visit again soon

We came here on a very cold evening and were serve with the freshest cod fish and chips. The fish was very moist and the chips were awesome. This is a hidden gem and highly recommended to all.

Love this place, the fish is fresh wet fish mostly cooked to order. The kebabs are very good. If you ask Paul or a member of staff for the phone number, you can call ahead so they can get your fish ready. Enjoy

This used to be the very best place to buy fish and chips so I'm not quite sure what's happened, it's really disappointing. The fish always used to be fresh and the batter the crispest.

Cracking place and very friendly staff. Chips were good to along with the kebabs. You can eat in there as well as take away.

I tried bouth lamb and chicken kebab and it was one of the best reasonable price, good service, itssmall the local but its good on food

Este es el primer lugar en el que me he encontrado con que hace que Chichen hay correctamente - rellenos con un montón de ensalada y pollo. No su pasada pita habitual con pollo vierten en la parte de arriba. Patatas fritas también están bien y no demasiado grasienta y bien hecho.

I have been going to this chip shop for approx 30 plus years. The food is great and the fish batter is cooked to perfection on the fish. A great family business.

Came here for a kebab while my colleagues had fish & chips. Staff were very friendly and they had some tables so you could eat in if you wished. We waited while our food was prepared so it was all pretty fresh and the portions were quite generous to. Overall it was a good experience, the food was tasty and the service was good. If im in the area again in one of the offices or hotels nearby i would visit again. I also noted all the servers wore gloves, they take pride in what they do and want your return custom.

I visit paul's place, at least once a week if not twice, Each time I go I have ten or more orders from colleagues. Good friendly staff, very clean and the best food around.

Coming from the coast where there are chppies a-plenty I admit to being a bit fussy when it comes to fish and chips. Paul's Plaice looks like your regular chip/kebab/burger place but serves some of the best fish and chip takeaways I have had in a long time.

In my opinion they sell the best chips in London. I go there twice per week at least and the food is very good. A special mention to the chips, I cannot survive without them.... Ehehheh! The quality is excellent and the price too. Definitely worth a visit.

We did carryout from Paul’s Plaice on our way back to our hotel. The seating area was clean, although most people seemed to come in for take out. The fish & chips were very good. The fish was very fresh & fried perfectly. There were about 5 or so different fish types, i.e. cod, haddock, etc from which to pick. The portions were large & the prices very reasonable. There were other items on the menu like hamburgers, kabobs & more that we did not try. The staff was very friendly. We would go there again. Take pounds (£), because they don’t take credit cards.

Had some of the best fish, chips & curry sauce from this place they were cooked fresh for me and a very good price too, wish they were my local chipy.

At right next to St. Paul's Cathedral. Finely crafted sandwiches with tasty ingredients. Exceptional desserts (hard to pick just one). Exceptional coffee choices. The best place I ate the whole trip.

We ate here on our way back to the hotel one night, the food was freshly cooked and the eating area was clean, staff very friendly and we really enjoyed our food

I have been there twice and the food is pretty good and ok price for takeaway. The kebab taste really nice, chips and fish are all fresh.Avoid going lunch time as it gets really busy.
