Ali's Berlin Doner in Ealing

Few years back it was nice place with top service. now the service is poor. food not so good any more. Gentleman made mistake with order and than told that he is sorry but cant and wont change it.

Good food, quick service. Tried multiple sauces and they were all good. A lot of food for the money. It is cash only.

I really liked their chips as they were fresh and fluffly. Their mixed doner was superb. I only recommend they should provide a better seating area inside and a slightly bigger portion. All in all a great place.

Best kebab I have eaten this side of Berlin, I ordered the mixed kebab, the meat was tasty and the portion was generous, I will be visiting again.

They have card machines but never accept card payment. Always demanding cash payments. I would say it's a money laundering shop.

Great kebabs. Would recommend the mixed or the beef donner kebabs in particular. The place is cash only but you can pay by bank transfer. The staff are friendly and there are a couple of decent lunch deals if you’re visiting around the afternoon.

My experience at Ali Doner in Ealing Broadway was extremely disappointing. Right from the start, the customer service was awful—the staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, making the whole experience uncomfortable. It felt like they were doing me a favor just by taking my order. Adding to the frustration, they only accept cash, which is really inconvenient in this day and age. Considering the place is cash-only, I expected the prices to be reasonable, but instead, it was surprisingly expensive for what you get. Unfortunately, the quality of the food didn’t justify the cost at all. The kebab was bland and lacked the flavor you’d expect from a decent doner, leaving me completely underwhelmed. Overall, Ali Doner was a real letdown. Between the bad service, cash-only policy, high prices, and disappointing food, it’s hard to find anything positive to say. I won’t be going back, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Lovely staff, I recommend the bread more than the wrap. Been coming here for 5 years. Always coming back. Lovely staff if you come before 3 pm there’s a nice funny old guy . Humours always top notch . Make sure you bring cash because they don’t accept card.

Excellent kebab - we were lucky to come across this place on a visit to london and wow the food was great. Brilliant customer service from a well travelled owner, the kebabs for fresh hot and delicous. Will be going again when in Ealing. The kids were given lollipops a really nice touch. Very clean place and comfortable to sit in and eat.

After returning from Berlin and realising that GDK wouldn't cut it ever again, I set about looking for an authentic Berlin doner place in London. Ali's looked the part and we stopped in tonight and were not disappointed, the meat was caramelised and juicy, just the right ratio of fat, crisp and meaty, the trifecta of sauces were authentic, the salad was fresh, the feta was plenty (perhaps a touch too much), and the bread, the bread, that's what it's all about, kids. That thin, crispy, toasted pide! The portion size is more than ample and at £8.50 for a mixed, it's a steal tbh. This place was spot on, and Ali, bless is such a sweet guy, he gave a local kid free meat and chips while we waited, really nice bloke, was so friendly, warm, and welcoming, could still hear the German twang as he spoke so this place is legit. I couldn't rate this place more highly for a quick bite. I wish I'd taken photos, but it barely touched the sides. There's a small amount of seating outside, it's cash only, though there's a free cash machine across the street, there's no toilet either, but there's a bar next door. Will 100% be back for another Berlin doner fix!

That was the worst doner meat I've ever had! Absolutely disgusting! Went in the bin. It was all little bits of hard gristle. Gross!

If I could give 0 stars I would this place was absolutely terrible I got food poisoning and had to be rushed to hospital because I constantly threw up and the man was being very Unappropriate, he made me feel very uncomfortable especially the manager really bad I don’t recommend at all

Very poor service. The old man is very rude, does not care about the customer. Worst customer service ever. I was giving instruction about how I want my food and was being told that he 'DOESNT CARE'. Please avoid this place.

WARNING: CASH ONLY Food is good and service is quick. I used to go here after a night at the pub, but they've gone cash only. They lose a star for this: it's 2024, that's not cool. Cash only is a deal breaker for me, so will not be going here anymore, but if you don't mind that and need a quick bite at Ealing Broadway, would recommend.

Yesterday get 2 mix doner. Meat was to dry and just to small portion, it's first time got really disappointed and rubbish test of Mix doner ( where usually you should get good portion of mix meat) Highly NOT Recommend this place Ali's Doner And will never come back!

This is one of the best doner in the UK. It's as good as if not better than GDK. The sauce's are amazing. The bread crispy on the out side. The stall in Ealing Broadway center comes every Christmas time, otherwise catch the shop Infront of Ealing Broadway station.

The service was amazing the meat was tender and juicy with lots flavour the chips were crispy and fluffy on the inside. Would definitely recommend and 100% the place in london

Honestly, it's been a year since I've lived in London and I've not found a place that makes such good shawarmas in so so long. I'm so glad I came here one random day to order, it's now become my go to place

Best chicken kebab I’ve ever had

Meat is very tasty, lovely texture, not too greasy. Salad is fresh. Chips were a little bit dry but passable as a side, good sauce to go with everything. Portion just right and fair for London price. Friendly owners. Easy location by station. They let our baby try the beef and chicken and he loved it.

Best kebabs I’ve ever had. A revelation!

After a long day in town we came back to Ealing to stop here for our takeaway dinner. Our expectations were high as we are used to the real German Doner. My boys had huge appetite and ordered a Beef DonerBox, my husband opted for a Beef Doner Sandwich. They liked it a lot, all fresh and delicious and a good amount of food. I had the Veg Doner Sandwich with crispy Turkish bread filled with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onions and grilled courgettes, aubergine and red, green and yellow peppers. The garlic sauce was yummy. I wanted to deduct one point because of the cash only policy and not accepting creditcards but the food deserves 5 points👍My husband needed to find a cash machine after ordering our food and the one opposite the restaurant was not working. Thumbs up and hopefully until next time.

Been going here with my husband since it opened. Still hands down the best kebab!! The bread is amazing, the sauces just perfect, lovely fresh salad, and the meat is full of flavour! Really friendly customer service! We moved from London to the isle Wight in 2019 but whenever we come back to visit family we never miss an opportunity to come back here! Some food just makes the world a better place

I quite liked the flavour of the kebab portion size was very generous. The Turkish bread was fresh everything was on point. I think it is better than other German diner kebabs in the uk

*cash only* wanted to try today but they unfortunately only take cash so had to order via Uber eats. Great Döner (I’m German and very picky!), don’t agree with previous comments that there’s not enough meat, there was more than usual and I’ll actually make a note next time that I want more salad. Extremely generous portions and great quality meat!

Absolutely amazing food and wonderful people. Definitely best kebab in London, most likely all of the UK. Service was amazing and they let me sit and eat with my dog outside (who also loved the food!!) while my phone needed to be charged and they let me charge it inside. Late night at Ealing and the only place with such welcoming warm atmosphere!

Can anyone tell me which governing body awarded this establishment the award that is cited on the banner in the shop window? The beef was described as "beef steak" by the person behind the counter (who I am guessing was Ali). I was chewing on some tough parts of the beef that were white. The chicken seemed to be a lot of chicken skin. The mixed vegetables were fried instead of grilled. The chips were full of oil, which indicates that they were fried for too long or reheated. The sauces were variations of mayonnaise. Perhaps my standards are too high, but this is West London.

Bad dry doner kebab. I threw up after eating them Don’t fall for overrated reviews . Owner is rude and he yells at customers. They take cash only. They would rip you off with money exchange. 2 customers walked away as he wanted to charge extra for empty cups for drinks

I bought beef donner kebab today , oh wow disgusting, the meat was so old and too salty, I think they add too much salt so they can store the meat so much longer, I had some bites after 3 hours still not digesting . 🤢I just hope I don’t get food poisoning.Horrible.avoid.

Do you like Garlic or Chill sauce? Don't go here then. They give a salad cream sauce like they do in Iranian restaurants. Yes, you read it right. Instead of Garlic.sauce they give you salad cream. The chilli sauce was like a spicy tomato sauce. All very strange and never have I had a kebab like this anywhere. Garlic and chilli sauce is one of the pillars of good kebab which this place fails MISERABLY.

Came in for myself and my partner and was greeted nicely as usual but asked if they could put the bread separate in a box with the meat on the side as the bread gets very soggy and falls apart when eating. This hasn’t been an issue in the past but became one yesterday. I thought they were joking because they were smiling and laughing, I’ve done this multiple times. They said no as it’s not apart of the menu but I was not asking for any extra meat or salad. Very disappointed as I felt they were being unfair because they didn’t give me an actual reason which made sense. Not happy about this service

Best Doner Kebab shop in London that I have tried so far. Staff are very welcoming and hardworking. Prices are honest for the portions they give. Chicken Doner is very tasty and tastes like a Doner and not a Shawerma. I am a loyal customer now and always happy when visiting. Keep up the quality and good work.

Finally a kebab shop that ACTUALLY serves Berlin/German style Döner Kebab. Been trying numerous kebabs across London over the 10 years I've been in London, but regardless of any Berlin/German tags all these kebab shops are trying to market themselves with, this is the first place I encountered that actually lives up to the standard. Shall definitely return whenever in Ealing or desperate for a taste of home - only requests: can you add mayo to your condiments for the chips and maybe add, not very kebab shop like admittedly, the other Berlin original to your menu too - Currywurst? 😅

This unassuming Doner takeaway is simply the best! The Meat is great, the salad filling fresh and crunchy and the sauces out of this world and freshly made to Ali's own recepy!!!

As a Berlin born, and raised, and after having devoured many Döner in Berlin, I can really recommend this place. The owner is a great guy and the food took me back home.

Disgusting! Just ordered off of Uber eats and the food came which was inedible! The meat was pure fat which I spat out, felt like I had a mouth full of jelly. The salad was wet and juice was all over the chips making them horrible and soft, I feel quite sick! Won’t be ordering from here again. For the price of one meal, to give that to customers is disgraceful.

Just waste of money and never order again from them. My order supposed to be a large chicken doner but when it was arrived only was a small portion chicken ( it didn’t look doner cut at all ) with old saggy small salad beside , tasteless chicken. Try real Turkish doner !

Prob worst kebab I had I want to post a picture to show , ordered donner meat n chips what arrived was chicken but very dark chicken almost brown!!!! Got full refund as I complained to Deliveroo

You get a choice of beef donner, chicken donner and mixed donner or a falafel on the menu. The large portion needs to be a bit larger. The taste was nice but not worthy of the award it holds highly outside the shop. There is potential here but its missed unfortunately I rate it a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Amazing place best chicken doner I ever had london. Garlic mayonese is homemade, fresh vegetables , French fries and soft drinks are served with the menu. Very good price quality and service.

I would not call that kebab. It was a load of sauce on bread with some sprinkles of meat. False advertising!

I am not sure what to say exactly. The portions are good. The price, extremely high, unless you get a meal deal of £8 that is only available on weekdays I think. I didn't personally like the taste, the sauce is too sweet. The meat is hard, not juicy. This is my personal opinion, so anyone that wants to try, might as well love it. I wouldn't go there again, since it is is way too expensive for a doner that I didn't like the taste of.

Ali’s doner is insanely good! Had the the vegan falafel kebab and it was absolutely unbelievable. The staff were fantastic as well! 5* all the way.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. THIS PLACE IS THE WORST DONER KEBAB IN ALL OF WEST LONDON. THE SING OUTSIDE IS OLD AND A BLANT LIE!!! The food is greasy and tastless and they put as little into each order as they can get away with. The sauces are all bland and they throw as much on your order just to try and mask the fact the meat is so bad. Apart from all the above it is WAY OVER PRICED for what it is. Do yourself and your taste buds a BIG favour and go anywhere but here. So bad I had to leave a review just to warn others off from making the same mistake I made. AVOID AND GO TO ANY OTHER DONER HOUSE.

Very expensive for a sandwich filling wrap, very little doner meat in the wrap at all which was all just salad.
