Ordered a large cod and chips for myself and chicken shish and chips for the husband and we were sorely disappointed. The chicken was cooked with tikka seasoning and was spicy, not what we wanted. The fish was absolutely vile, wrapped in paper along with the chips and was wrapped so tightly, by the time we received it, it was just one big, soggy mess. I couldnt eat it in the end, but the dog had an amazing fish dinner. Never again.

As tourists, we ordered fish and chips there. The food tasted really good and for £7 you get a drink and "mini" fish and chips, which isn't that small! We've comfortably had enough of it. Our kids had a cheeseburger and were happy with it.

Seen some negative reviews on here made me question whether or not to buy food I do read reviews but I said gonna try it still looks good food came it was really good lovely and still very hot thou I made a second order thru uber eats curry sauce is fire🔥 deffo try.

Long wait even when not particularly busy, clearly under-staffed. They’ve taken out all the chairs and tables which isn’t a very good idea when you have to wait 20 mins for a simple order. Having said that the quality of the food is not bad and very generous portions - fish is quite good, chips are decent.

Unlike a previous good order the most recent one was a Deliveroo order was a bad one! The haddock was small overly battered the chips were clumped together and so very expensive-a most unsatisfactory order. Disgraceful order.

The fish and chips were bad. Everyone in our family has had an upset stomach since we had their food last night. The fish was soaked in oil when it was wrapped, with pretty much no flavor. The chips were soggy and very soft. The kebab was below average.

This restaurant is very very dirty and disgusting!!! they work with dirty hands. when packaged they touch the food. everyone is very rude!! For the delivery drivers are not respected !! Rubbish place!

Food was mediocre. Ordered on Uber Eats who give you options of salt and vinegar and which drink you want. Problem is the Codfather staff seem to take no notice of these instructions and you get what you’re given.

Don’t EVER order from this place. Owner threatened to kill me. Apparently the Uber driver stole my food and that’s my fault.

My wife and I ordered fish and chips which was ok and a chicken kebab. The kebab was definitely of the worst quality meat I have ever had, there was so much fat that I was unable to eat it. If this is the quality of meat that is being served I won’t be ordering anything from here again.

Avoid at all costs, chips clumpy, fish has a horrible after taste, very oily the cost was £12.50 for medium cod and chips. Won't be going back there again. (PLEASE AVOID)

Orders from here today. Large cod and chips was lovely! Would definitely recommend. However, the battered sausage I had tasted funny, it had a weird flavour to it and was incredibly greasy. It was a shame as the rest was really nice.

This has been my go-to fish and chip shop for the last 7 years or so, and has previously always been a decent place to go. I'm not sure if they were having an off-day today or if there's been a change of management, but today was not a good experience. On a Friday lunchtime (when a lot of British people have fish and chips traditionally), they weren't ready at their opening time of 12pm. I went in a couple of minutes past, and they informed me that they were running late and asked me what I wanted - they said it would take 5 or 10 minutes. 35 minutes later I was finally given my order, 2 jumbo sausages which I think were overcooked (they'd split down the length of them), and some chips which were definitely overcooked - most of them were a dark brown crisp full of oil. Frustrating as they could have pulled them out earlier and saved me some wait time! Hopefully it was just a bad day, but I've been put off going back to find out :(

I have been looking for a decent chips cheese & curry sauce in London, after moving from Scotland where it's not hard to find. This is the closest I have found so far and it was great!

One word.....delicious! Live round the corner and tried this fish abd chips when my family were visiting from Manchester for the bank holiday. We loved it, generous portions and freshly cooked. Proper chips! Also the owner clearly cares about what he is serving to customers. I'll be back!

Use to be very good! Gone downhill unfortunately! Plus the female owner is very rude and disrespectful! With all do respect, I think, she is a bit delusional and very arrogant! Don’t get me wrong! Really looking forward to nice cod and chips well I thought I was I ordered through uber eats as I'm stuck in hosptial got the food and bag splits I had curry sauce leaking everywhere in the bag really cheap bags I paid just over £20 had no cuttery I clicked that option so only option was to use my fingers giving a 1 star as I never eaten from this place it's a shame was really lookimg forward to it

Just arrived in England and was driving towards Pendock when my son & I stopped on a whim after looking for restaurants near us. A bit nervous by the looks of the place when we drove up, but gave it a chance anyways! Took about 15 minutes to get our order going as she was just opening shop but that was no problem. I ordered the small/kid size fish & chips because I wasn’t too hungry, was actually surprised at the size of it! Bigger than expected, crispy and cooked perfectly! Chips/fries were also perfect!! We ate across the parking lot in the park. Overall a good choice, although the shop itself looks rundown.

We paid £37.26 for two pieces of fish, two mushy peas, and two tartar sauces on Uber eats. Only the .26 was the delivery fee. No chips come included which is shocking for the very high price, especially since they ask if you want vinegar included in the app—that’s why I assumed chips came with. The fish was big, and good, but don’t get the Masala, it’s not spicy as advertised (why we ordered it) nor is it good. Struggled to even eat the masala one and ended up stripping the breading off by the end. The tartar sauce has mint or something equally weird in it and was the worst I’ve ever had. Their prices are outrageous, it’s insanely expensive for what you get..the cutlery and vinegar we requested in the order never came. So we ate with our hands and wiped them on the bag/paper the fish came wrapped in. Conflicted because I love small local businesses and fish, but can’t say I’d order again or recommend :( this is my first negative Uber Eats experience. Edit: docked another star for the fully unprofessional reply from the business owner 👇, who evidently struggles as much with reading comprehension as they do with providing napkins, cutlery, or good value to their clients. I recommend people patronize worthy businesses, there are so many of them, but this isn’t one.

The food is consistently very good - but please add options on Deliveroo to select individual salad items! I always leave an order note, but it’s missed 50% of the time and I end up with salad in my wrap that I didn’t want.

Decent fish and chips - not too much batter but a good level of crisp still. Large fish is £9 which i think is a bit pricey, but the portion of chips are a good size and well priced

Usually really good but they ruined my partners dinner. I ordered fish and my partner ordered something else with chips, they put the fish on top of the chips. My partner is a vegetarian and hates fish. So she got no chips and her sauces went to waste that we paid for also. Otherwise everything else was perfect

A friend recommended these guys after my go-to place shut down and I am thrilled to say I have a new fave chippie! Been after a place that does proper chips for a long time and these chips do not disappoint! They also have a really good home recipe chili sauce which I love! Highly recommend!

Food OK. Masala fish was a bit on the bland side however was accompanied by some nice chilli sauce. Portion sizes are large and filling. We had been under-quoted the cost by about 30%. The food had been fried in older oil, which ruined the taste slightly. Other than the incompetent staff on the phone.it was a good experience. Might order again.

Really great shop. Regularly go there and get a 1/4 pounder that's really amazing and gets wrapped in tin foil so it stays warm, and their wings are really good. Extremely friendly staff that put care into their food and always make sure to get your order right even if you have any custom requests.

I ordered via uber eats I ordered 2 mixed meats and chips but both meals had no chicken meat at all. This isn't the first time they have done this. Happily take the full amount but not fulfilling the order

Our first ever order from the South Ealing branch. We chose the large Masala Cod with chips. We were not blown by the taste, which unfortunately for us, was too overpowering and completely masked the taste, of what would have been a delicious piece of Cod. We will not be ordering the Masala flavoured Cod in future. The food was piping hot, the service was excellent and the driver was very polite and friendly. We will definitely be ordering from Codfather - South Ealing again, in the near future, and definitely recommend them.

My furst eber review. My local chippie. Only been a dozen times over the years. Try to avoid it if I can. Manage to get my order wrong literally almost every time. We check the burgers before we leave as there is usually something missing. Surprised they get such good reviews.

Hands down, their chips is AMAAAZING and good portions. The 1/4 pounder was spot on fresh and tasty. Really professional & friendly manager. If you're in the area I would say definitely give them a try, i'm sure you would love it :)

As my local fish and chips I've tried this place a few times now and everytime they impress me. They have recently added cheesy onion rings to their menu which are a must get!

Lovely food and great service! Ordered from Uber Eats and the driver forgot one of our bags with a pie in. Rang the shop and they apologised perfusely and organised a refund from Uber eats. He then hand delivered my pie as well as another free pie and a drink!
