Patty and Bun in Hackney

Honestly don’t know why there so many bad reviews? So confusing. honestly good burgers, the hot chick chicken burger is amazing.

Arrived after a twenty four hour reminder and confirmation email and a half hour text to confirm reservation only to find a typed note on the door saying that they’re closed tonight. Why didn’t they let us know to save us a journey? All those texts and messages asking us to confirm and then they let us down. All it would have taken would have been a text to let us know. Going back? I don’t think so!!

HORRIBLE! I have loved patty and bun for many years but this visit was DISGUSTING! I have NEVER faced such horrible and RACIST beviour in London in my life! On arrival, they told us it would take 30 mins, so we chose to wait, getting a drink on the side. 25 mins in, a table for 6 and 4 was empty and they refused to seat us. When we asked why, they said we had to wait and they would seat us in due time. That’s fine, we said - and waited. 20 more minutes and we asked again- this time pointing to 2 more empty tables. This time, they got annoyed and said we were rude for asking again and POINTING - something. a 6 foot man ( the manger called DEACON) suddenly deemed aggressive!! So suddenly then, they refused to seat us, instead asked us to pay for the drinks and leave. I am appalled - a manager, made us wait for over 30 mins with empty tables in the restaurant and then when we pointed to the tables asking why we couldn’t have them said he felt THREATENED by us - 2 girls! Such LIES. All this while tables and tables of white people got seated before us. I didn’t see ONE coloured person get seated. Shame on you Patty and Bun and DEACON, the manager! For treating paying customers horribly, leaving them hungry and being so disgusting RACIST!

Yesterday I visited the Hackney branch and was served by Cristian. The smokey Robinson was perfect. The rosemary chips were tasty as well, Most of all, the freshly made Halle Cherry cocktails, which is whiskey based, is amazing; it gives you a good buzz. Most importantly, the service by Cristian, who also speaks Spanish, is excellent every time. He is a true hospitality-hero & a massive asset, I think, to the company - he shall continue to go up the management ladder in no time. Gracias. I shall be back soon for more food & drink.

Visité la sucursal de Richmond Road hoy y probé la hamburguesa con papas fritas Smokey Robinson. La hamburguesa estaba cocinada a medio, como lo había pedido. Tan delicioso. Fresco. Y bien equilibrado. Las patatas fritas también eran preciosas. ¡La salsa picante Dios mío, tan deliciosa! Además, conocí y hablé con Polina; ¡Me encantó su trato y servicio positivos y amistosos! ¡Gracias también a Edu, el chef! Gran hamburguesa y muy guapo! : -): -) ¡Hackney Central tiene # suerte de tener un buen lugar de hamburguesas local! Volveré muy pronto. Hamburguesa, patatas fritas y cargo por servicio: 14. 34!

Dos de mis amigos vegetarianos y yo fuimos a Patty & Bun en el coche de alquiler porque estábamos en London Fields Park y escuchamos a la gente hablar bien sobre la comida, así que tenías una selección encantadora de veganos / vegetarianos, pero yo no lo soy y tomé una copa, así que Definitivamente quería carne, así que mis compañeros consiguieron dos hamburguesas veganas y papas fritas y llegó a 14. 00 bruja, dijeron que no valía la pena, las papas fritas estaban viejas y sabían a robo, pedimos otras diferentes.Y después de la segunda porción nos dimos por vencidos, luego conseguí mi hamburguesa y le pregunté a la señora por la más popular, estaba empapada, la carne estaba dura por fuera y crudo por dentro TENGA EN CUENTA que tenía una bebida para que cualquier cosa supiera bien en ese momento, la salsa de tomate estaba tibia y el queso definitivamente no era queso, era absolutamente horrible. Le dije al gerente y ella lo cambió después de 15 minutos de espera, llegó el segundo y fue tan malo como el primero, si no el peor. Primera y última vez. Terminé yendo ala parada mucho mejor si quieres un bocadillo rápido cerca de London Fields hackney Realmente decepcionante

Tried the Awoga & Whoopi Goldberger !! Both are far too sloppy and slide apart in your hand !! Nothing unique re Awoga and whoppi which is made with Tempeh ( I like Tempeh a lot this one not great )., Both burgers rely on gallons of sauce & hide most of the burger meat flavour. The bbq sauce is not a bbq sauce. The chips are decent but halfway through they become tiny crusty things and not chips !! £27 for that ?? Loud Ibiza club music too !Overall 5/10.

Delicious, wonderful service and great for a hangover! Would highly recommend for small or large groups, one of the better settings of all the Patty and Buns in London

Went with my family, the burgers were very tasty with lots of flavour. Waiter was very friendly and the food came fast. Would definitely recommend as it was one of the better burgers I have had in London!

I brought my nephew here for lunch. He was immediately given crayons and a colouring sheet, which was nice. Initially I didn’t realise the children’s menu was on the reverse of the colouring; there’s only one option but it’s exactly what he wanted so that was fine. He enjoyed his food, as did I. I appreciated the carafe of iced tap water on the table, and service was prompt and very friendly. My suggestions for improvement are to serve burgers on a plate or something rather than just wrapped in grease proof paper (though perhaps that has less of an environmental impact?); and also to not include ready salted chips on the children’s menu (they were very salty, though delicious!). I was also surprised to see service added to the bill; I would have tipped anyway but, especially for only two people dining, I found that unusual.

Stopped here with a friend and it was great. I had the vegan burger and it was delicious. The chips are to die for, I carried on eating even once I was full. Service was quick and polite.

Stopped in here as we happened to be working close by, so glad we did. Foods was fantastic and the service was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

I had the ‘Whoopi Goldburger’ the vegan option on the menu. It was nice, nothing to shout about. It tasted fine. The patty is a bit on the softer side, so doesn’t stay in place while eating too well. But was fine. & there’s a nice atmosphere.

Having found ourselves in limbo for a few hours in Hackney before a wedding my family decided to spend it here, a strange choice I thought. The burger and sides were not bad, the wine was ok. The lack of plates threw the older people in the party but then I have no sympathy, it was their choice to stop here. My mother immediately slopped onions down the front of her lovely dress. Again, no sympathy, there are napkins there for a reason mum. The price was ok at around £90 for five of us. Happily the ventilation was good enough that we didn’t rock up to the wedding smelling like we’d been flipping burgers all day.

Have the menu a workout, chicken wings pretty good, cheese balls not bad. Strawberry milkshake a bit bland, with freeze dried bits of strawberry which clogged the straw. Had Smokey Robinson burger, on offer at £5. Very wet, juice everywhere. Not very tasty. Fries at £3.95 overpriced, and not huge portion. Had heard good things about this chain, disappointed in the offering. However my son and I were starving so finished it all. Will try another chain next time

I have been many times with my girlfriends as we love the burgers and the margaritas there. The service has always been attentive, great music and vibe. I'll definitely recommend it, especially during the happy hour!

We used to be regulars at patty & bun in London fields before it moved and since it has things have unfortunately gone massively downhill. No soap in the toilets, sloppy under seasoned and quickly prepared burgers, tasteless fries and a general sense of grime...

Love the burgers and chicken wings. Usually order on deliveroo. The chicken wings are one of the best. Sometimes the size of portions can vary. The burgers are spot on.

Good and not too expensive, we went there during the happy hour and took a burger for 5£. It was really good (great sauce in the burger too ;) )
