If i xould put no starts i would!!! I had a stale rock hard tuna baguette which was inedible, steak pasty with 2 pieces of meat and dry as hell and expensive as hell. Really disappointed. Done a 14 hour shift travelled 2 hours to Emlyn for training and just wanted a bit of decent lunch. I only went in there because other places were closed. Next time I will just chew on cardboard I'm sure the taste and texture would be better!!!

I, along with many others, visit Patricia's Tea room almost every week for a real treat. Amazing, tasty choice of homemade snacks, lunches, drinks and THE CAKES - I can not find the equivalent anywhere I have travelled, and I do a lot, in the UK. Lorraine - the cake & food maker, and her daughter Gemma - front of house, are delightful and so welcoming that we visit as often as we can and take friends and family with us. Being Ceoliac I appreciate the extra effort Lorraine puts in to make my cakes as delicious and scrumptious looking as the others - and I think you would find it hard to tell the difference from her other cakes. Lorraine's expertise in the kitchen is of a very high standard, as is her artistry. Gemma has her own expertise and is a joy to meet. Also, as a tea drinker I appreciate the range of teas available which come in a teapot with beautiful cups & saucers. Other drinks are available! A delightful place to spend some time chilling out with the BEST of foods and meeting like minded people. I have been in the cafe often when people 'find' the cafe and are so blown away with the quaility and choice of what is on offer. Most, like me, also take something away as well. Very worth finding.

This gem of a tea shop in the heart of Newcastle Emlyn, run by a friendly mother & daughter team, serves delicious, well presented food. This traditionally styled cafe has Tudor-style beams overhead, china crockery & antique samplers on the walls. There's tables outside but well behaved dogs are allowed inside which is a bonus for dog lovers. There's an excellent choice of freshly prepared savouries - baguettes, paninis, jacket potatoes with various fillings, quiches, salads etc. served in generous portions. Food allergies & dietary restrictions are treated in an understanding manner & Lorraine does her best to accomodate these requirements. Gluten free choices are available from the cake selection, just not marked as such. Gemma points out which ones are suitable. It's with the cakes & desserts that Lorraine's skill & artistry really comes into it's own. There’s a range of exciting, mouth watering options to choose from that I’d never heard of before. Who's up for 'Mars Attacks'?! Wow - never heard of a cake like that before. I wasted no time trying it out & wasn't disappointed. How about a cake decorated with luxury chocolates? Errrr.....isn't that only available in a 5 star hotel? I honestly couldn't believe my luck! Faced with such an array of enticing options, it's difficult choosing just one of these sweet creations. Luckily, the food’s available to take away, as well as anything you couldn't manage to finish. On top of all this, Lorraine even bakes cakes for your own parties & special occasions!

A friend and myself came across this little place by accident. We served by the very friendly owner. We had sandwiches and paninis served with a delicious side salad and veg crisps. Everything is home made and the cakes are to die for, it was very difficult deciding which cake to go for from the large choice. We will be going back very soon.

A wonderful tea rooms with nearly all the cakes made by Lorraine on the premises. Her daughter, Gemma, makes a wonderful cup of coffee (which is a double shot by default). The portions are large, but they will box up any cake you cannot finish for you to take home.

Small tea room, friendly staff. Had a cup of tea and a massive custard slice. Maybe a bit too big even for me. I still finished it though.

Visited Patricia’s Tea Room one afternoon. Absolutely craving a piece of cake. Staff were very friendly and talkative. There was a good range of cakes. We had the chocolate orange cake which was very yummy and very fresh. Seems like a family run business. Worth a visit if you’re dying for a piece of cake like we were!

Visited these tea rooms on a return journey from Cardiff Saturday lunchtime. The large cakes are all made by the owner herself and are to die for! I had a slice of the chocolate and hazelnut one whilst my husband had some of the chocolate orange one - they were both beautiful and served by a wonderful waitress who I was informed is the owners daughter so it really is a family affair. The rooms are named as a tribute to the owners mum who passed several years ago. The tea and coffee are very refreshing and well worth the stop over. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area

After getting fish & chips opposite the lady advised us to go & have a drink... £2.50 a pint she said. So we went and yes it was £3.90 for a pint & a half! What amazingly great value together with a warm welcome from the barmaid. Sat outside with a glimpse of the sea. Highly recommend.

Stopped off at this oasis on our way to Tenby. My wife and I both ordered bacon sandwiches and coffee lattes. Beautiful “home baked “ bread (probably from a bakery but looked and tasted home baked) a generous helping of thick cut bacon and a delightful cup of coffee. Staff were busy but friendly and attentive.

Not suitable for gluten free options despite menu description. We stayed locally and this restaurant had good reviews and described having gluten-free options available which was cinic red when we phoned to book a a table. The reality however was very different. Unless I wanted a vegan red Thai curry there were no options for me on the menu. The items described as gluten free in the menu weren't available and we were told the menu was out of date. Very disappointing and not suitable for anyone wanting gluten free options.
