Patisserie Valerie in Edinburgh, City of

Nous sommes rentrés par hasard car nous cherchions de quoi nous couper la faim vers 13H sans manger trop gras et nous avons été séduit par leur proposition de « hot sandwiches ». J’ai pris le Valérie Club et Jeremy a pris le Croque Monsieur. Et c’était DÉLICIEUX. Frais, savoureux. Le personnel était très sympa. Le lieu est très simple et sobre, mais les toilettes étaient très propres et modernes. N’hésitez pas à y faire un tour pour un repas plus simple, à la française et pas trop lourd.

Used a Buyagift voucher for afternoon tea and was delighted with it. Was greeted by a very friendly staff member when I asked if there was a table available before meeting my friend outside who was joining me. He offered me a seat inside while I was waiting as it was cold outside, which I thought was a lovely gesture. Chose to have coffee rather than tea with the delicious spread we were given. The sandwiches and cakes in particular were extremely fresh and we were served more than enough to satisfy our hunger. Great coffee, nice scones and fantastic cakes served by extremely efficient staff! Will certainly recommend Patisserie Valerie to friends and family.

Les macarons nous été vendus - avec insistance - en boîte déjà préparée : ils étaient rassis et nous n’avons même pas terminé la boîte de 12 .

Visited here with my sister in law and used a voucher my daughter gifted me for Christmas. The afternoon tea was lovely, but it was the friendly and efficient staff that made the visit great.

We went for afternoon tea, a combined Mother's Day and my birthday treat. It was absolutely flawless. Lovely choice of sandwiches, cakes and other treats, and the deal included cakes to take away as well, so excellent value for money. What really made it though was the welcome and the staff. Would recommend it and will be doing this deal again.

Endroit très sympa. Le service thé + scones était vraiment très bon avec tout ses accompagnements. La théière était vraiment bien remplie.

Good food and good service. Two of us had tea and scones and one had a full lunch. Waitresses don't make you feel rushed. The high tea looked great but it was definitely enough for 2 people to share. This is apparently a chain but it doesn't feel like a chain restaurant. And they have every kind of pastry imaginable.

If its just coffee you want I wouldn't bother it's very average but If you want vegan cakes come here they do amazing raw vegan cakes,

Personal agradable y pasteles sabrosos, pero esta cadena seguramente será la próxima en abandonar la calle principal: tiene todo el ambiente de una cuchara grasienta cruzada con el salón del aeropuerto de Heathrow, con precios que coinciden con el último en lugar del primero. ¡Mejora o vete!

Si teneis ganes de merendar, este lugar, más antiguo que la pasteleria donde escribia la Rowling, hacen unos pasteles de muerte. Hicimos un tasteo de varios y te derrites del gustazo

Picked up a multipack of macaroons and they were stale, they were crunchy and had no flavour or creamy ness they were tasteless very disappointed was hoping for chewy smoothness that macaroons are usually

I can rarely resist picking up some lovely cakes here when I pass by. Portions are generous, best for sharing and authentic European style desserts.

Il locale è carino e piacevole a vedersi, ma i dolci sono palesemente surgelati ed il prezzo non è bassissimo. Se comunque non si conoscono altre "pasticcerie" è un locale piacevole in cui assaggiare una tazza di tè e fare una pausa.

This is a nice place where to have breakfast, with a wide selection of croissants and cakes and a good atmoshere to start well the day

Stopped off in here whilst doing shopping inside Debonhams, What a very pleasant staff and lovely coffee and tea with a wonderful slice of Strwaberry Gateax Pleasant are to sit in.

Minha experiência na Patisserie Valerie em Edimburgo foi a melhor possível. Atendimento impecável e as comidas e bebidas deliciosas! Achei o preço bem OK pelo oferecimento. O ambiente bastante agradável, fora a beleza da construção em si. Com certeza voltaria na franquia em uma próxima oportunidade.

Waited ages for a pricey pot of tea and scone, which arrived toasted.

This restaurant cafe is serving mainly delicious Desserts, unfortunately not breakfasts or lunch etc. It's 'Patisserie Valerie' which from French means they are only serve and make Desserts. If you are planning to stop there for a Breakfast or Lunch then better not to because they are not capable of doing that. So therefore it better to go somewhere else unless you are stopping by for Desserts.

Io e il mio compagno da super golosi avevamo addocchiato la dolce vetrina della pasticceria e ci siamo andati per colazione...una pasticceria d’altri tempi, dolci deliziosi e “come una volta” prezzi non bassissimi...ma merita! Ci siamo tornati anche per il dolcetto dopo cena.

Had a quick lunch here and never will return for that. Service is quick, too quick if you’d ask me, and the bacon was horrible, lettuce hardly there and tomato too thin sliced. Thus; not the best blt... The sweets from the patisserie looked far better.

De généreuses parts de tartes à base de frangipane , noix de pecan ou bien fruits secs . Viennoiseries réussies en vitrine . Service sur de petites tables individuelles mais il faut savoir attendre

Die Auswahl an Gebäck und Kuchen ist hervorragend und vor allem auch die Qualität. Der Service war auch sehr gut. Wir hatten einen Schoko-Kuchen und ein Himbeertörtchen. Da die Platzanzahl begrenzt ist kann es sehr schnell voll sein. Aber alle Sachen sind auch zum mitnehmen geeignet.

Went to cafe in Debenhams Edinburgh. Was served the worst cappuccino (by the grumpiest waitress) ever - tasted like hot milk. The lemon cheesecake had been left out to air or was old so had developed a dry outer layer - not appetising at all. £7 in total - complete waste of money. Have had fantastic experiences in Belfast and North Bridge Edinburgh but won't be back to this branch in Debenhams.

Merveilleux petit endroit pour faire une pause détente, suite à la marche en découverte de la ville. Grande variété de thé et de pâtisseries fraiches. Bon prix et personnel chaleureux. Les toilettes sont comme au deuxième sous-sol. Vaut la peine. Il y a d'autres franchises de Valérie en ville.

Met up with a family group here. It was very busy. Nice building - nicely decorated and a good atmosphere.

Just of the Royal Mile, this little gem is a great place to refuel yourself after a long day. was somewhat upset that the carrot cake was sold out, but....the custard pie and chocolate cake made up for it. Don't forget the coffee to compliment this with.

We had a short visit with a couple of cakes and some tea. Perfect service and very nice cakes, we had the lemon drizzle and the carrot cake, absolute winners :)

Perhaps she was just having an off day, but the surly waitress actually sighed at me when I asked for a pit of tea.

Had a break here in the afternoon. We had a flat white, a peppermint tea and a slice of strawberry gateau to share. The flat white could have been better served a bit hotter, the strawberry gateau was really good moist & tasty.

My daughter and I gave this place a visit as she had bought a voucher for afternoon tea for me for Christmas. I booked this one as it probably less crowded than the others. They were not aware that I had booked!!! We managed to get a table. I was asked what I would like to drink. I got the tea and my daughter got water. Quite disappointed in the tea pot as i thought it would be one of the shiny silver ones which shows up on he menu. Just got a random tea pot and cup. Cake stand came with cake and sandwiches. Really disappointed. Sandwiches were poor. Hardly any filing. Long and the width of 2 fingers, would have been better with triangles. The whole thing just lacking in an afternoon tea experience. Customer service I didn't take much notice of. Won't be going back. Rip off.

Just looking at the pasteries they have made me gain weight. They are gorgeous. This is a chain so you'll find them sprinkled throughout the town. We ate at the one on Rose Street and it was a wonderful breakfast...and it was eggs and such...not all sweets. Good coffee too!

Basic choices all cakes overpriced not a great place for children as mostly offers sweet things sandwiches not very fillinf small and dainty plus pay extr for cake stand fancy plates but over priced ok for occasional treat

There's a religion in the western world that my dear wife subscribes to ... It's known as shopping, consuming coffee with cake whilst so doing. And though it's been going on for a long time now, new peaks are being achieved as the big boys, like Debenhams, now abrogate their responsibilities to a third party by offering their easy-target shopping audiences to well meaning but opportunity-driven new names like Patisserie Valerie. I can clearly remember the satisfaction I had a year ago when I praised Debenhams for their prowess in pleasing their customers. Insidious, maybe.

Had a great day shopping with an aunt and uncle. Decided to rest and have a coffee and cakes. This was at 5.10pm. Got our teas and coffees and some croissants. Cousin came at 5.20pm to join us and was told they are closing so have stopped serving then a waitress came over and told us we have to finish our food and drink as they are closing. I complained and said the elderlys are still having their coffees which are still quite hot then the waitress rudely said we can have another 2mins! Not impressed at all and they should have told us they were gonna be closing up shortly when we ordered so most likely we would have went elsewhere. In the end we had to leave leaving our unfinished teas and coffees. I somehow think my elderly aunt and uncle should be getting some complimentary teas and coffees if they want to keep their customers.

Went into Debenhams for coffee with husband and saw Patisserie Valerie had opened on the first floor at the top of the escalator so decided to go there instead of the top floor restaurant. What a mistake! The service was worse than terrible. It would take me too long to list everything. No way will we be back. Avoid if possible.
