I recently popped into Ripiena and was thoroughly impressed. The staff were so friendly providing excellent recommendations on both food and wine. Cappelletti filled with smoked duck and Parmesan. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the rich, smoky duck paired wonderfully with the sharp Parmesan. The fire-treated apricot added a fresh, slightly sweet contrast, while the creamy stracciatella enriched the dish. The Primitivo wine they suggested was a great match. It was full-bodied yet not too heavy, with berry flavors that complemented the meal beautifully. Overall, the combination of delicious food, perfect wine, and outstanding service!

Clean table awaited us. Music was up my street. Waiter explained the menu without making us feel thick. Food was indescribably good. Nice touch with the complimentary bread to mop up the sauce. Left feeling tipsy and content. Thank You.

Wonderful venue, superb food, service and atmosphere.

The seasonal menu was sublime, the balance of flavours in the smoked duck tortelloni was just right. The drinks were expensive for what they were though. Shame the olive panna cotta wasn’t available when I went. An intimate venue with attentive service.

We came in right towards the end of dinner service before the kitchen closed and the chef welcomed us in. The service was very friendly and staff was knowledgeable with great recommendations from the menu. And the food is beyond delicious. Highly recommend this place. Even if it is out of your way. Worth the trip.

Excellent restaurant, easily my favourite pasta place in Bristol! They frequently change the menu which keeps things interesting, and their food is very high quality and tasty. That said, the place is small so bookings are highly recommended especially for larger groups.

My partner had the cocktail taken from her when the glass was ~half empty The brocolli stems in my food were uncooked/raw On the bill the tip was optional, when the waitress came with the cash machine that was added instantly Service, average Location inside, below average, non comfy seats

Amazing food. Very small and cute place with limited menu, but it is more than enough. Everything what we ordered was delicious and the wine was amazing. The only negative thing is the zero hygiene in the toilets, was very dirty and stinky.

Ive been here a few times and it never disappoints. The servers really know their stuff, and the food is the most amazing quality and has gorgeous, complex flavours! wine list is amazing and the vibes are so lovely. its no secret that this is one of the most special spots for pasta in bristol!

Truly amazing food here. The raviolis are some of the best ones I have ever tried. And you got to try the pork fillet for antipasti. They were sou vide cooked and topped with very tasty salsa sauce. Edit: return to this amazing restaurant two years later, and the food are still exceptional!

Run, don't walk, to this superb restaurant. They only do filled pasta and as a result they do it very, VERY well. It was the best pasta we have ever eaten - and that was true for me, who is gluten free, AND my husband, who is not. The sauces with the pasta are explosions of flavour. The front of house guy who was working when we were there was knowledgeable and friendly, and he really added to the whole experience. We went on a Friday lunchtime and had the 3 course set price menu which was superb value for money. We will be back soon!

I really enjoyed it. The food is so delicious and the staff are very professional and polite and friendly. The flavours were knockout! I think my pasta may have been overcooked though and the portions are tiny for the price. Do they have to put the tables so close together to try and squeeze more money? You've got your bum rubbing against someone's table because you've got to squeeze out sideways! Too close! They also forgot my coat so I had to go up and get it myself.

The food was very tasty but over priced as portions are a little small. It’s a very small space and feels very cramped. I think maybe they need to rethink the timings between sittings as it was pretty annoying being hurried through the meal and given 20min, 10 min, 5 min count down. If I’m spending £250 on dinner I’d prefer the time to enjoy the meal and the company.

I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve eaten here but the food is to DIE for and Tom, Brendan and Johnny are truly so driven to make your experience the best yet! Brendan and Johnny push the boundaries on creating dishes which blow your mind while Tom has the talent of paring your choices with a great wine!

Beautiful food, restaurant and service! Booked last minute for my partner’s birthday lunch in early October and I was so happy with everything. We had the following from the set menu; Tuna belly salad (it was on the specials board at the time but glad to see it on the lunch menu) Boquerones Bruschetta with olive tapenade and salsa verde Ravioli with beetroot and ricotta Triangoli of spinach and mascarpone Focaccia Blackberry and sage panna cotta Drank; Aperol spritz Apple juice Everything was delicious, well balanced and fresh - I would go into detail but may be here all day - just go! 10/10 recommend Also loved the happy birthday menu they gave us ☺️ great service!

We loved our early Friday night dinner at Pasta Ripiena. Stuffed pasta is such a treat and we're glad to have found a spot in Bristol that does it do well. All the pastas we're great but the lamb ragu casoncelli in particular was a real treat. We also loved the tomato & pear salad and the fennel panna cotta. We'll most definitely be back! 🍝

Absolutely brilliant evening! We arrived at our table and we had personalised menus- which was completely unexpected and a complimentary glass of champagne. We found out this was because of a connection with myself and the owner that we didn’t know existed!!! this was so lovely of them to do! secondly the service was exceptional, very attentive and lots of soft spongy bread delivered to mop up our beautiful sauces- wouldn’t except anything less from the bianchis group! Food was delicious, particular the sage, pumpkin and ricotta Angolotti! stunning!!! also the boquerones, tuna belly, figs starters were so delicious! you must book a table! will be going to the rest of their restaurants soon!!!

Really nice small cosy pasta restaurant. I’ve been to a few other places owned by the same guys and they’re all great. A great thing they do is that once you’ve finished most of your main, they bring out some free focaccia to mop up the sauce. Top quality dishes. A little pricey so great for a special occasion.

Booked a table for an anniversary meal. Menu was simple but everything on it looked great. Both our fresh pasta mains were excellent with lovely fresh flavours. Venue is quite intimate and great for a special meal.

A wonderful little gem of a restaurant with superlative service and excellent food. The menu comprises a number of different filled pasta options, plus delicious antipasti and board specials. There is a broad European wine list and the coffee and puddings are also excellent. Booking in advance is recommended as there are not many tables and it's very popular.

Ahhhhw a bit gutted tbh. After reading the reviews I really wanted to go here and fully enjoy the food and overall experience. Sadly it wasn’t the best. For a meal and drinks for 2 costing nearly £100 it wasn’t worth it. For starters we had the hake fritters, this was good. The specials board starter was pork, the pork tasted lovely but was a very small potion. Both mains were ok not great and not cheap. The chicken in my partners main meal was fatty, grisly. He described his meal as chicken soup with pasta. A lovely guy who greeted us on arrival and insisted on poring the drinks he was lovely. All meals were presented well but tastes in mains coulda definitely been better. Food was pretty average up to other restaurants we have been recently. Weds 30th August 2023

This was one of the Italian restaurants that we did enjoyed the most around Bristol, we reserved a table for dinner and we were quite lucky as they were totally full. The vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant is just great, since you come in till you leave you feel like home as the place is extremely cosy. The service it was so so as they were extremely busy running around and there wasn’t so many tables but the waitress did seemed new, however they were very friendly and respectful. The food it was an 10, we were just amazed with both quality of the ingredients and the quality of the dishes were soooo delicious and well prepared, full of taste and kind of a fusion it was just amazing to try these dishes. The red Italian wine it was also great. Congratulations to the chefs and owner. We had a bit of an headache to park the car as the place is right in the city centre we had to search around for a parking spot and ended up paying almost £10 for two hours of parking and it was kind of far from the restaurant. Overall experience it was great and we would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone around looking for a great experience.

One of the best Italian cousins in Bristol !

We walked in and we could get a table for a quick lunch luckily. So reservation is recommended. The food were amazing! All we ordered were delicious. I think it was a new experience for Italian food. I had flat white and it tasted good. The service was great too.

A simple lunchtime menu with good flavours delivered well. There is choice of three starters, three mains and three desserts. The service was attentive and helpful. Beware, the wines are pricey; unnecessarily so. The beer from a lash up with Wiper & True brewery was a preferred option. As a minor gripe, the plastic, utilitarian seats are uncomfortable for a dining situation. Similarly, the bench seating doubles up as underseat storage for wine boxes and makes it difficult to sit upright and tuck feet under the seat. It's all a little bit cluttered and cramped.

Menu was limited I.e. 5 starters and 5 main courses, min choice was bland and my partners choice was missing some ingredients as they had run out! Wouldn’t rush back.

Been here twice now and the second time was just as wonderful as the first. I love how the place is small but not cramped, you can see your food being made. All the food is so fresh and absolutely delicious - will be dreaming of my dessert for many years to come.

Pasta ripiena is unreal, it’s a gem. Came here last year on a whim managed to get a table from a no show. This is easily the best place to eat in the city centre. The staff are amazing, front and back of house. The menu is great can easily order 2 starter 2 main & 2 dessert, I look forward being back here in august. Came back here 4 of august, still utterly amazing, amazing staff amazing food, and still such a vibe in this very small and intimate space. Look forward to returning in the future.

Being gluten free, I have not eaten amazing pasta for over a decade... until now. This restaurant is the best Italian food I have eaten outside of Italy and to offer such a large selection of gluten free options was heavenly. The flavours and textures were exquisite and the four of us just sat in silence as we savoured every morsel. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, whether you're gluten free or not... simply perfection.

Had a lovely meal out with my partner. This was on the pricy end of our budget - two mains and two desserts for £60 including service charge. The food was tasty though, flavour was good. The server Tom was very attentive, topping up our water when needed and we didn't have to wait too long for anything.

I can't get enough of this place! Each time has been an absolute delight. The pastas and wines are flawless. No wonder the tables are always fully booked. My favorite pasta restaurant in Bristol!

Pasta or not to pasta! Definitely pasta! Delivering exceptionally tasty and high quality food, sourced locally, Pasta Ribiena is the place to visit! Selective menu created daily, you are in for a treat whatever you have! We started with arincini balls and peppers to share, both packed with flavours. Pasta in spinach, ham and n'duja for mains and a tasty pistachio gelato to end. Highly recommend. 👌🏽

One of my favourite restaurants I have visited. I love the small menu and the fact it is clearly made with seasonal, fresh ingredients. Everything is cooked beautifully and the extra foccacia given to mop up the delicious sauce is always appreciated. It is not a cheap restaurant but the prices are not extortionate and worth saving up to be able to treat yourself as the portion sizes are suitable for multiple courses. Highly recommend and I hope to come back soon

Such a lovely restaurant with a really chilled atmosphere, I felt immediately at ease when my wife and I dined here. The wait staff were really fantastic and added to the chilled mood by being attentive but never "in your face" like some places you go to eat - I was asked how the food was while my mouth was empty, instead of being full of food like what usually happens elsewhere! The food itself is brilliant and has to be eaten to be believed, all the reviews you may have read before about how good the food is are no joke - these guys are serious about quality food and it shows. This is my second visit to Pasta Ripiena and I am already looking forward to my next visit - thank you so much for a great dining experience, and we look forward to being back soon!

Our food was very good and the service excellent. Just a word of warning that £1 is added to your bill for a "Caring in Bristol" charity. You can remove it if you wish, but I had no issue with this addition. I was just going to put my receipt in the shredder when I noticed that the 12.5% service charge had been added to the £1. I know this is only 12 pence, but will add up over time to a more significant sum. I do not approve of the 12.5% automatic charge anyway, even though you can remove it - how many people actually do? Charging it on a charitable donation makes it even more unscrupulous. I wonder if Pasta Ripiena pass on £1.12 to the charity? If you feel the same about this, please challenge when you visit.

Oh you never disappoint, Ripiena. I had dinner here about 4 years ago and knew when I was back in town, I had to come by again. I booked about a month out because they can be busy. We had a table outside and did the whole shibang. We appreciated that Cotta, next door, was able to make a delicious old fashioned. We ordered two of the special, which were the scallops, God they were good. We ordered 5 mains between the four of us bc it was just that good. And finished it off with the orange frangipani x3 and raspberry mint sorbet. Oh forgot to mention the arancini. Served fresh, soft sand crispy, and perfect size. Special thanks to Lektra and Tom who did a fantabulous job serving us!!! It was such a fun evening. We had a Sardinian with us and she speaks very highly of the whole experience! Plus she was super pregnant and Lektra took the extra time to check in about (un)pasteurized dairy and cured meats. Flawless evening! Thanks Pasta Ripiena, we'll be back.

Saw the reviews online and their stuffed pastas seemed very interesting. The restaurant was packed when i arrived and unfortunately i had not made a reservation. Thankfully the weather was good and i could get a seat outside. Sometimes when you are seated outside as the only one the staff kinda forgets about you but that wasnt the case at Ripiena. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Both the pasta and the panna cotta i ordered were of outstanding quality and i enjoyed very much. As others have mentioned the price point is a bit high for the amount of food but like i said the quality is excellent. I would definitely try some of their other pastas

Went here with my friend last night & honestly one of the best meals we have ever EVER eaten. I went for the rabbit ragu with parmesan & sage tortellini, I’ve never had rabbit before & it was beautiful, scared to have it again incase it doesn’t compare. My friend had the beef (insert obscure filled pasta name here) with parsnip & she really enjoyed it too. The service was friendly and fast x
