Always a good meal. Good food regardless of take out or eat in!

First time hear. Fantastic food fantastic service. What more do you want. Great size portion. Some for lunch tomorrow winner winner

I just had a takeaway Lamb Balti from here. They weren't particularly friendly, but they graciously allowed me to swap the nan bread for moglai rice. But I've just got back to my hotel to find they haven't given me either! The balti was a typical oily mess, of the type you often get in a bad housing-estate Indian restaurant, so I decided it wasn't worth my time walking all the way back to get my rice. So check they've given you what you ordered or, better still, go somewhere else.

First time here, was visiting a neighbouring area for a few days. Me and the mrs was wanting some nice halal food. So manage to find this place. Decent service. Very polite decent set of lads. I ordered a tikka masala curry that was spot on. Mrs order they chicken bariyani she enjoyed it. we also Ordered some tandoori roti, chips with drinks. Quality was spot on can't complain. Prices for the area and food I can't complain. Would come here again if am in the area. Thanks again.

Came for my mum's birthday, the wait staff were rude upon arrival and acted like us being there was an inconvenience to them, when I asked for a second drink the waiter rolled his eyes and walked off as if that was personally offensive. The atmosphere inside was awful, extremely tense and we considered just cancelling our order and just leaving anyway. When my mum ordered her main with rice, the waiter shook his head condescendingly and rolled his eyes and said she couldn't order rice with that dish as it apparently 'came with rice already mixed in' I had to step in and ask them to actually just let my mum order what she wanted, when the food arrived the rice wasn't mixed in it was on the side and when my mum communicated that it had been different in another indian restaurant and that's why she ordered the rice the waiter rolled their eyes. Overall not a very good experience.

Food was delicious, we turned up out of the blue, would definitely go again if in the area. Helpful staff as well

My Dad gets a takeaway from here regularly. After joining him this time, I can see why. This was the best curry I have had in a long time. Would even go as far as to the best in York.

Great authentic food in a busy restaurant on a Friday evening.

I've eaten here many times over the years and enjoyed it but yesterday I had the blandest food I've ever eaten in an Indian restaurant. It was as if the spices had been left out. Doubt that I'll be back.

Great birthday meal at the Parvin

First visit here as a party of 13 for the Sunday Buffet. Pre booked. The resteraunt is decorated beautifully however, we weren't made to feel welcome and it seemed to be a a little disorganised. The starter (part of the buffet menu) was a mixed platter, we were not asked about any allergies and I was served a fish pakora as part of this. Unfortunately I have a fish and seafood allergy. As such I asked what each item was on my plate and avoided a near miss. The self service buffet choices were all delicious and thoroughly enjoyed them. Mild to hot. We also got a large plain naan bread between two. It was quite hard and crispy around the edges so a little disappointed. We would go again if invited, but won't be rushing back.

Not been here for many years but it still serves very good indian food. Established restaurant with plenty of parking. Very good service and all of our party were given a 20% off loyalty card for future visits. Recommended.

Hosted a fundraiser for precious paws cat rescue. We had 101 to done. Food as always superb!!!! Atmosphere the best ever, it’s my 8 th year running these events. Best one ever. £2300!!! Thanks guys. Couldn’t do it without you

A great night for a good cause with great food

We order from here all the time and thought we would go in for a meal. The standard wasn't very good at all . The portion sizes were so much smaller that when drliverd and my meal was so salty I could eat it . We were very disappointed and would not recommend. The value for money was poor . It was £100 for 3 main meals and a drink . The poppadoms were so greasy we all felt sick after 1 each . It must of changed hands

Quality food highly recommended

Worst curry I had experience last night. I bought 2 chicken korma and 1 chicken tikka masala. Gravy was terrible,chicken was tiny small pieces. Never go there again even they offer me free

I went with friends on Saturday night and my wife also ,food was nice ,I didn't feel the staff wanted to be there or serve ,we had to ask for our main as it took quite a while ,soon as I asked it magically turned up. Other than that good value for money.

Value for money Sunday buffet. Not quite what we are used to in terms of the definition of buffet as its fixed starters from the menu and a decent selection of rice and curry from the buffet help yourself selection. We had the chicken tikka masala and it was nice, needed a boost in terms of individual taste and tolerance for spice and chilli's but was good around but hey chef drop a spoon full of ghost chilli in for good measure..... His lordship did go for the last curry labelled hot chilli and ok that hit the spot in terms of scoville rating, I can't repeat here in this family web site the terminology his lordship used but he did threaten to pull up a chair and just spoon it straight out and in ! The mild version being crikey that's hot Good value for money, decent range of choices, good size car park and friendly staff on hand to help Nice here especially if you haven't tried Asian cooking

Food good but the delivery service is appalling, it takes them at least 90 minutes on every occasion to deliver. This will be the last time unfortunately.

Been coming here for years, always great food and pleasant service

This has been my favourite Indian restaurant for years but how time change and now its a different story. Over priced, mediocre dishes with shocking service. Time to try somewhere new!

We visited York for the weekend and was looking for an authentic Indian one of the evenings. We found the Parvin on Google and headed in the car after booking. All the staff were so friendly, the atmosphere was lovely, fresh, clean and modern. The food was unbelievable and would definitely be back if we were in the area. Absolutely wonderful staff and food, we had the butter chicken and it was phenomenal, I absolutely love this place!

Went on a Saturday night at 7.30 so it was busy & noisy with family parties. Service was good and the food was delicious. There was food on the floor when we arrived and wasn't cleared away before we left 2 hours later! Shame as it let the restaurant down. Would still certainly recommend it.
