Great location in Oldham. Staff are friendly, happy and helpful. Especially one lady who's normally on the cash/card register. Food was delicious! Waffles is what I had and homemade soup my mum. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Definitely go back when I'm in Town.

Comedy level service to be honest. Nipped in for breakfast giving a simple enough order. Think they forgot us as 25 mins no food arrived. We had to chase them and within 5 mins it had arrived. One meal spot on however the other which was a bacon roll with extras of mushroom and egg arrived without the egg. Took it back and waited… 5 mins later meal arrived back this time the egg was present but the bacon wasn’t!! How a bacon roll could arrive without the bacon I have no idea. Male staff member then started to blame us saying when we went back the 1st time we said mushrooms and egg. Mmm the meal was bacon roll so not really our fault. Not impressed at all which is a shame as the food itself is decent. Staff really below par. Felt more a comedy cafe it was that poor.

I work in Oldham centre so walk past at least a couple of times a day; it always looks welcoming. Today we got caught in heavy rain so decided to actually eat in somewhere for a change. I was pleasantly surprised with the food. Very tasty, fresh and well presented. I had a marinated chicken panini which was fantastic with a decent cappuccino. Will return.

This cafe is part of the central Oldham redevelopment near the old town hall. It replaces an old-fashioned building society with a cheerful, modern, glass frontage.I’d say it’s well worth a visit. My wife and I dropped in for lunch recently. We found a flat entrance way, handy for wheelchair users. Under lockdown conditions, we were asked to sign in and use hand sanitiser. Good! The ambience is bright and airy with light-coloured furniture. The huge windowed frontage is great for people watching. There is a good menu choice. My wife and I chose a sweet chilli chicken sharing platter. It was ample for two. There were 8 (I think) breaded chicken breast tenders on a bed of crispy salad leaves, all drizzled with sweet chilli sauce. In the centre was a bowl of cooling mayo dip. We enjoyed it.We had decaf coffees, which the chatty, friendly, owner described as being quite special. The coffee grounds came in individual foil sachets to guarantee freshness. Actually, that’s pretty standard in dedicated coffee shops. However, it was sufficiently special here to cost an extra 30p. Ouch!Service was prompt, friendly, and generally commendable all round. Cutlery came wrapped in paper napkins for hygiene. Strangely though, there was still a condiments and cutlery station available for anyone to cough or sneeze over. The owner had a justification for it being there, which was reasonable, but we agreed to differ on its presence. As it is an old building, there is no possibility of an accessible toilet on the main level. Facilities are down a short flight of stairs - manageable for most people, but impossible for wheelchair users, or those with particularly poor mobility.Good for lunches or take-out snacks. Reasonably priced. Caring staff. Good location. Give them a go...

One of those mornings were we had a late start before shopping so we decided to eat out. We had passed this place several times but never had the time to try. So this was an ideal time to give it a try. Our verdict was an excellent choice. The place is spotless and very comfortable with very nice staff. I had the full breakfast which was served to your table nice and fresh. The price was a very reasonable £5.00 and my wife had a toasted currant teacake. for what you get and was very good. My only gripe is that it's time places like this give a thought to the inflated price they charge on hot drinks. Surely if these were halved when dining customers would ask for a second drink to finish of a lovely meal. But overall yes we will definitely be doing this again.

Visited a few weeks ago with my husband and our 6 year old nephew, the Cafe itself was lovely and clean and the staff really friendly. The food was nothing more than average for a cafe, although the menu was very small. The prices really shocked me though, for two mediocre panini’s with tiny salads and a child’s sandwich, plus two Pepsi and a water, it came to almost £25! I’m not quite sure how they can justify charging that? I’ve paid less in central London. Definitely won’t be returning.

The surroundings 10/10 - the place was nice, it wasn’t too busy or loud. My 7 year old son hates really loud and busy places so this was the perfect place. The food and drinks 7/10 - I’ve got to say I was a little disappointed with the food. I had the steak sandwich with sweet potato fries, coleslaw and salad. The sandwich in itself was okay, it wasn’t massively tasty and some of the sweet potato fries where undercooked, I was disappointed with the coleslaw as it tasted very very cheap like supermarket own brand so I couldn’t eat any of it. My son had a children’s chicken chunks with chips and beans, again we was disappointed because the chicken chunks where in fact chicken dippers which do taste different. He then put ketchup on his dinner (he’s obsessed with ketchup) but he said the ketchup tasted weird (his words). I’m assuming the ketchup was a cheaper branded just like the coleslaw. The drinks that were in the fridge was all warm so we had two tiny bottles of coke instead. We then ordered a cappuccino, hot chocolate and a lemon flapjack type cake with ice cream. As a massive cappuccino fan who purchases them on a daily basis I can say I was not disappointed. It was lovely and the cake/flapjack was tasty.Value for money 5/10 - I think the food is slightly overpriced for the quality. Like most people I will pay anything for food if it is worth it however I felt like the food was quite basic and because of the atmospheres and surroundings I would have expected a higher level of quality.Staff 10/10 - All the staff that served me seemed lovely and friendly and went out of their way. Improvements - 1) Use better quality brands like Heinz. 2) Consider lowering the prices of the bottled drinks as they are very overpriced, maybe invest in a soda machine (not sure if they’re the names) Final comments - Overall this is a lovely little cafe and a nice change from some of the other establishments in the town centre. However if they take on board some of my comments then I can guarantee this place would be a 10/10.

Go here for my lunch on a regular basis as its a nice and pleasant cafe. It starts getting busy around 12:15 but I don't usually have to wait too long for my food. I took some of my work friends here for a change and they love the place. Especially the posh fish finger sandwiches washed down with a glass of wine. Good choice of food and reasonable prices with plenty of 80s music (not too loud) in the background.

This is a regular weekend spot for myself and my family when stopping off in town for some shopping. Oldham was seriously lacking some nice independent cafe's so this was such a breath of fresh air when it first opened. Staff are always friendly too and will always help out if they can.

Lunchtime in the centre of Oldham on a crisp Saturday in March with, at that stage, light swirls of snow. Looking out for a good meal location, I came across PSC looking very clean and bright through the large plate windows. Excellent variety of meals and the goat’s cheese pizza I chose was well cooked and presented and full of flavour. Welcoming and efficient staff added to the experience. Parliament Square Café is a relatively new venture which opened around the same time as the launch of the new multiplex cinema which has been imaginatively created within the long derelict Old Town Hall at the heart of Oldham Town Centre. It is one of several eateries which have opened up around the newly created central, civic open space known as Parliament Square, hence the name.

Visited this cafe last year with my work colleague and her children, were treated nice due to the race mixture in our party (non white and white). It was my partner's birthday today and we decided to visit this cafe again as I thought I would actually get the same courtesy when I visited months earlier with the colleague but boy was I wrong. On entering the cafe, the staff a young girl saw us, she didn't say hello and decided to ignore us, we stood near the entrance for a couple of minutes and then decided to go and sit down, we sat down and still the staff didn't come over to introduce herself nor did she tell us how the cafe operate as things might have changed from the last time I visited, after about 10 minutes of sitting in the cafe we decided to leave as the customer service was appalling, on leaving the same staff didn't ask why we were leaving nor did she say anything else to us, she just watched us leave, this is a racist cafe, the staff is racist towards non-whites and I would advise anyone that is non white not to visit or spend a penny in this racist cafe. By the way we were looking to spend around £30 in Parliament Square cafe but due to their racist and prejudiced ways we decided to go to Sainsbury's cafe just a few minutes walk away from Parliament Square, there we spent £15, Parliament square Cafe and Deli could have gained £30 from us, but their prejudiced and racists ways allowed them to loose this, Parliament Square Cafe and Deli manager or owner needs to train their staff to treat everyone regardless of their race equally, because as customers, we are helping to keep their business afloat.

Food was not nice, if you’re going to serve frozen pizzas maybe buy good frozen pizzas? Also should remove the pub sign across the road at the car park because it’s misleading that cars can park there when they aren’t allowed and end up with parking tickets.

Few things I'd like to say, the owner Callum knows his stuff about his Coffee and was very informative about the origins of the coffee, The other review that stated there is a 4.50 meal deal is a total fabrication by the way as I have been going to Soul Cafe for some time and there is no such deal nor has there ever been, also the paninis etc are not like the person in question said, they are quality and locally sourced.
