We visited the Parley Country Club on Sunday. We were looking forward to a Sunday roast and a game of petanque on their terrain. Unfortunately the place was all shut up and we were told that it had shut down 2 weeks ago. I wish that they had updated their website to say this as it would have saved us from a wasted visit.

I was keen to try here after I'd contacted them regarding gluten free options and they were so helpful. So today I went with 3 adults and 2 children. 2 of the adults need to be GF. The chef was brilliant nothing was too much trouble. He accommodated the Gf's and all the others exceptionally well. In fact I would go as far as to say it was the best roast dinner I've had. There was ample choice for all of us, including 5 choices of veg huge Yorkshire puddings. Then to follow lovely sticky toffee pudding. The chef said he would have made the GF's an extra dessert if they had wanted it with a bit of notice. The children had pizza's and chips, which again were very good. The staff were very helpful and considerate.

I cannot rate this venue highly enough! From the outset, Mick the owner/manager was extremely helpful and prompt to respond to all of my queries. We chose to have them cater for our party to save us the hassle and stress of preparing our own food and we were not disappointed! The buffet was a lovely mixture of hot and cold and went down a treat with our guests. The staff were very friendly and a special mention goes to Connor who did a great job of serving our thirsty guests along with his fellow bar staff. We had a fantastic night and send a massive thanks to all at Parley Country Club for their hospitality. We'll definitely be back again sometime!

I came here with my 2 kids (8&6) and their dad for Sunday lunch. The decor was classy and serene, very nice and relaxing. The staff were friendly and approachable and I have to say, the roast dinner was the closest to a home roast that I have experienced dining out. I would definitely recommend and I will definitely come again.

This was very much last minute dot com; we contacted the management team and without hesitation accepted a booking for 14 people to sit down for Sunday roast; the experience from this point forward was not disappointing; the attentiveness of the staff, the professionalism and skill of the chef and his crew helped deliver a feast to be remembered. Outstanding.... Well done and a big thank you to you all. We are now regular visitors on a Sunday and the quality of the food remains consistent.... Outstanding

We went for a family birthday dinner, we have young children so the outdoor play was appealing. But the food took exactly 59 mins to arrive dispute it being 2pm when we arrived, so no lunchtime rush to blame it on. Mine was a salad, my husbands steak was really grisely ( he complained), MIL had to send hers back as it was cold. After waiting an hour it was really disappointing and the children's nuggets were deep fried, so they didn't eat theirs. Disappointed, will not be returning.

I had the unpleasant opportunity of visiting this" country club". I found the beverages " medioca" the decor appailing, but most of all the person claiming to be the owner, a rude, unpleasant , vile man. He was having a argument with his regulars, or members and told them" if they didn't like how he runs his club then to not drink in there. If I were them I would take my business elsewhere . when it was just parley sports , yes it needed work ,but it was a homely place, but now its just a place that thinks its posh. As the old saying goes .... You can't polish a turd!

Really family friendly place with a nice little park in the grounds and puzzles and games inside to entertain the kids too which is great but my experience of the food on all three occasions was not a good one. I have it the benefit of th doubt I think bcos I like the place and I so wanted the food to be good, However It is so blatantly microwaved and totally bland and to be honest was surprised by this as the club has quite a nice, more upper class feel to it but without the snobbery and a few locals thrown in the mix. Good atmosphere Bit disappointing really with regard to the food though

The food was fantastic and amazing value, and cooked to A1. I will definitely be visiting again, they have got a great thing here and I cant think of visiting anywhere else. Keep up the good work x

Parley Country Club (previously known as Parley Sports Club) has recently been reburbished and now looks modern and extremely welcoming. Am a frequent visitor there and have to say their Sunday roasts are excellent. A choice of 2 meats are available each week (changing every week) with a varying choice of vegetables etc.all for a very reasonable charge of £6.95. There is also other menu choices from their normal menu at exceptionally reasonable prices along with a selection of sandwiches or baguettes for those who prefer a lighter meal.

Parley Sports Club (now Parley Country Club) has carried out a lot of work to improve the inside of the building with more improvements to follow externally. We visited with our two young daughters and the food was excellent and very fairly priced. The carvery was exceptional. There is a varied menu with a slightly restricted sweet choice but it's well worth a visit. Great facilities!

The Tea Room & Garden at the Museum of East Dorset (MED) in Wimborne Minster is a beautiful spot for light refreshments - both hot and cold. The Tea Room is connected to the beautiful garden of the museum and, thus, victors can, in the warm weather, be seated in the outside patio area to enjoy their drinks and snacks whilst experiencing the aesthetically glorious garden. The MED Tea Room also has a light inside dining area which has lovely views across the garden due to the big windows. The staff is comprised of volunteers who are friendly and welcoming; refreshments are ordered at the café and served to your table. The Tea Room and toilets are very clean and the menu includes a very reasonable charge for food and drink. The Tea Room and garden are accessible for all visitors and there is a disabled bathroom. The walled garden is a location for everyone (of all abilities and ages) to enjoy, play, relax and explore.

A lunch with a friend in Wimborne and Cloisters is always our first choice. I use a wheelchair and quickly on approaching the staff spotted me and access was no problem. You do have to book I was chuffed when the soup was Celeriac soup and the flavour was perfect with some crusty brown bread.

Loved the decor, felt old but well kept and quirky. Good ale selection, lovely staff and good value food.
