A party of about 30 went to celebrate retirement. We were in the room upstairs. Lift access available. It was all freshly prepared & laid out ready for our arrival. Very efficiently served. Exceptional quality & variety of food, both savoury & sweet. Vegetarian, diabetic, & gluten free catered for. So much, excellent value. Doggy bags offered. Lovely afternoon enjoyed by all. Thankyou. Very Highly recommended.

Visited the Park Britannia for the first time as visit Cafe Britannia on numerous occasions, very beautiful location, beautifully decorated and spacious, I found the staff friendly and pleasant. The weather wasn't scorching but great to see plenty of people around, be warned it will get busy at certain times patients is the key., Also bare in mind unlike cafe Britannia they open till 4pm. I found a good choice of food on the menu and very honest in the descriptions. We had the vegatarian ploughman's and the pork pie ploughman's, pickle had a lovely kick to it and the homemade pickle onions awesome kick lovely. Afterwards we had a fruit scone and definitely got the taste of homemade. We were not disappointed and put it on the same par as the Cafe Britannia. Thank you all for a lovely lunch look forward to returning again.

Visited the Waterloo park pavilion today with my sister. I ordered the bacon and chicken salad which I had had before at the prison cafe and I had enjoyed it. However, this one was vile. The leaves clearly hadn’t been washed so you could taste all the chemicals, there was no dressing, the tomato was tasteless and past it’s best, the bacon was fatty and undercooked and the chicken was dryer that a nun’s snatch with no flavour whatsoever. I suspect everything had been bought on a tight budget, there was no evidence of any value for money. Paid £7.95 for an appalling meal that I didn’t and couldn’t finish in the end. Won’t be ordering any food from there again.

Came on a bright Sunday morning. As such it was busy. Lovely building. Staff were disorganised. Coffee good. Waited over an hour for 3 sandwiches! Other people requested refunds with some difficulty. Young lad waiting at table was polite but under pressure. Better supervision and training needed. Disappointing. Friend got a refund too.

Set in a stunning pavilion building, Park Britannia is a gorgeous park cafe set in the heart of Waterloo Park (a fab park by the way). It's popular with dog walkers, mums and everyone who loves park life. The decor is stunning, the cafe light & airy & the menu tasty. Great value prices too. We loved the Afternoon Tea but have returned many times for cooked lunches & even hearty breakfasts. Go & try! You'll fall in love with it. Highly recommended.

Unpleasant environment. Once sat I noticed how dirty and littered the floor was along with food crumbs spread across the bench seating areas. Plenty of staff to clean the floor and tables yet this has not been done. Coffee was very tasteless and overly milky, would even say a tad sour, an overpriced experience. Sat near the back kitchen and a slightly eggy smell is wafting into the seating area which just adds to the grubby feel in this place.

There were two tables occupied at around 4pm, 3 lots of people waiting for drinks and 4 members of staff working behind the counter, and 1 refilling out the front. We felt like an absolute inconvenience, but hung about waiting 5 minutes to place our order. We received no acknowledgment in this time, until my partner and I shared a ‘should we just go?’ look, which prompted a staff member to say ‘ill be with you shortly’. It seemed chaotic behind the counter, no order or logic to who did what, and overheard another guy waiting for drinks say that he’d been waiting half an hour for two takeaway drinks! We waited at the counter for 10-15 mins for two toasties and two coffees. Our toasties came out quick, but drinks took forever, despite having two robust coffee machines capable of allowing two members to be simultaneously making drinks. By the time our drinks arrived our toasties were pretty cool, and one of our drinks was accidentally put in a takeaway cup. Coffee was awful. We choose costa because it’s consistent (usually) and you know what to expect. The milk was burnt and the baristas skill didn’t compare to our local costa (Broadland business park). Won’t be returning, if they can’t get it right when it’s quiet and there’s plenty of staff - when can they?!
