I will give the honest review the staff wasnt friendly at all we ordered take away as I ordered lamb curry they gave me Beef Curry instead. I ordered 2 plain Naan £2.50 each believe me they were 10cms ! One of them was burnt .The chef didn't even bother to round them! Not worth it at all,

My review would be a bit different than others. I used to work there from 2002 to 2006. I loved their food. The chef was awesome back then. Not sure about the current chef though. The restaurant owner Tara Mian (Chacha) is an excellent human being. I hope the restaurant still belongs to his sons Mainu vai and Bodge. If any of you read this message, give me a message back please. Kind regards.

Ordered food from paramount I would give this restaurant 10 out of 10 for the food and if anyone writes different don't listen to their rubbish

The best curry house in the area by far.

Horrible uninspiring tasteless food!! This place couldn't be further from authentic if they tried, supermarket jarred sauces, really really poor.

Not the same food as used to be I felt like the food was a little warm but not hot and I found the food was very .....dry and the lamb crops where very tough and dry to eat the naan bread was very dry and tough to also the prawn cocktail was thrown into the salad which made it very watery and soggy verry disappointing ..

The food doesn't seem to be as amazing as it was in the past. But it's still good, and the staff are still lovely. Tried a new aubergine dish, was really tasty!!

Good food at a good price! Got a few different things and shared around, portions are just enough :) Food was greatly seasoned, not too oily and very filling. Spent around £40 for three people.

Lovely restaurant with a pretty water fountain great choice of food for all tastes hot and fresh great flavouring and good potions would highly recommend this place they take all credit cards.

Family has been going here for as long as I can remember, I have never gone and had a bad time. The Staff are amazing and the food is great quality, never experienced any issues with this place. Naan bread is untouchable (best around).

Favourite Indian with family - very friendly staff

Very tasty food, large and really filling items, and full of amazing flavor, melting in your mouth. It's worth stopping by, because the place is large, so it's not difficult to get a seat, and it really reflects the taste. The downside is the atmosphere, which doesn't encourage you to sit for long periods of time, it's so quiet and soulless, the decor is solemn and a bit grandma-like. However, it's definitely worth it for the food!

Excellent Indian food, well made and full of spices. The Tandoori Chicken was a particular highlight. Great friendly service throughout, and solid value.

It was cash only.... who does that ????...Then secondly , I ordered chicken Biriani and everything looked white , lacklustre and the taste was just average . Customer service wasn't horrible but it would not make me come back. Overall it's average to me !!!

This restaurants food used to be sooo good and now it’s so disappointing. I’m afraid I will never order from here again. My food took 1hr35mins to come. When it arrived it came cold so had to reheat it. We couldn’t finish the food, it really didn’t taste nice at all. Tasted like plastic. Waste of money. Very disappointing, will try another restaurant.

Had dinner here once! The chicken in the vindaloo was more like turkey and not soft enough! The sauce could have been more red & spicy! The naan had no salt in it! Best think here was the Cobra beer!

First impressions last with me big time. I live in a very Turkish area with the best restaurants and customer service. So where do i begin with this restaurant and why i gave them one star. I sat down and waited a while for someone to take my order. I asked the restaurant before i sat down the prices and they confirmed it to me and i asked them over five times. Now i asked as i had the exact money on what i was going to buy, so i was mindful on what to order. I ordered my food, service was okay, food okay - a bit too oily, and to be honest i prefer my Indian cooking then this restaurants, not the best i have had but eatable. I go to pay my bill and it was double what it should have been, when i questioned them that they told me a different story, they denied it. I have travelled the world including India, and i have never been blatantly lied to about this to my face. I asked them FIVE TIMES and yet they failed to keep their word. The funny thing is my friend warned me about this place i ignored her and decided to take my own chance. But im sorry to say she was right. I then told my Bangladeshi friends about my experience and they apologised on their behalf saying we are not like this I am so sorry you had dishonest staff at this restaurant and then said DO NOT GO THERE AGAIN... like hell i will. Bad customer service and lying to get customers is appaling . SO WRONG ESPECIALLY DURING THESE TRYING TIMES. ESPECIALLY WHEN I have Bengali friends who were mortified and embarrassed when i relayed the story about these lying thieves. DONT GO THERE AVOID ```SO MANY GOOD RESTAURAUNTS IN WOOD GREEN LIKE THE TURKISH ONES. Disgusting i will not be going there again.

Best Indian restaurant in North London in my opinion. The food is put together with love. Definitely somewhere to check out if you have not been.....

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I waited over two hours for my food to arrive, the chicken and lamb was bland and chewy and my naan was burnt. Stay Well Clear!

Best Indian food in London! Tastes amazing (I think I've tried almost every dish on the menu). Great food to eat in or to takeaway! Excellent customer service and reliable. So glad this little gem of a restaurant is nearby, in my locale Wood Green!

This restaurant seems dated and old fashioned however I would not mind if the food made up for it. Ordered lamb masala and not sure what it was but the meat was more like beef and was tough.

I am totally shocked how I can place an order for 1 person at 8am and 90mins later the order is still not on its way. Really bad service and won't be going back!!

Utterly delicious menu friendly service quick and no hidden cost. The man who served me was very knowledgeable, my wife mother in law and myself have been impressed every time we go here.

I placed an order by phone and ordered 2 prawn purées as well as other dishes. When I went to collect the order the guy at the till read my order out correctly but when I got home they had put 1 king prawn purée instead of 2 prawn purée. These were to be shared with 4 people. I called them and they insisted that I only ordered 1 king prawn purée. The food is lovely but the customer service is absolutely rubbish. Not only were they not willing to send out a prawn purée to replace the missing one (we live less than 3 minutes away but they decided to continually argue on the phone and tell me I got what I ordered which clearly I didn’t and then they put the phone down on me. Restaurants like you don’t deserve the repeat business that are given to them. Please improve your customer service and find a way of resolving your customers problem instead of insisting we ordered wrong when in fact you made the mistake and then putting the phone down in your customer. I will not be ordering from you again.

No Frills Indian Restaurant very substandard menu although the ambience could improve if an automated epos system is put in place rather than hand written orders so the staff can be at ease and be focused on customers specific requirements and other avenues of the business rather than be under constant pressure other than that not bad little gem of place for local Indian in this area.

The guy was on his own front of house and they were quite busy. He managed to give really good service throughout and was really helpful. They were flexible with what we wanted and did me a naga that wasn’t on the menu. The food was really good with nice meat, great sauces and the rice and naans were good too. For London the food prices were good. All round very good.

Food is nice. Bit on the pricey side

Really disappointing. Waited 30 minutes before our order was taken then an hour for the food to arrive. Ordered whole tandoori but got 4 legs (that’s 4 pieces not a whole chicken!) and meat near bone was raw. Spent £80 and went home hungry. Never again!

We finally found a great Indian restaurant in our area. The decco is nothing special, but the food... The onion bhadji we ordered we're not too oily and not too dry, the murgh tikka was deliciously spiced and cooked in the tandoor and, following the recommendation of our waiter, we had lamb bhoona, tender lamb cubes in a thick, mild sauce all washed down with Cobra. Highly recommended.

If you live in Wood Green, you're in luck. This place is the only Indian in Wood Green as far as I know, but it is also one of the best curry houses you'll ever eat in anywhere in London. Dining in their restaurant is always a pleasent experience, and now they deliver too, so you don't even need to live in Wood Green. Which I don't anymore.

The food is really good, the service is very good. I would definitely recommend this place again and again. It's nice and clean inside, great for a quiet night as a couple.

I have bringing friends here for over 20 years here..but recently had to order from here to be delivered 7 miles away in Hadley Wood as the local indian food was greasy, overspiced muck. I have 4 staples every time I eat here Poppadums Tandoori Mixed Grill to share Lamb Dhansak Saag King Prawns Pilau Rice The service is always excellent and once Covid is over looking forward to bringing my mates here again. Wish they would serve more local brews given how Tottenham and Palmers Green now have their own independent breweries and distilleries.

The ambiance of the restaurant is great. Love it here, always looked after and go home with a belly full. Definitely recommend a visit!

Had a takeaway delivery. Food was great best lamb curry we've had in a long time. Good quality food, lots of meat in the curries. Would definitely order again.

We come here fairly regularly and always love all the food, have been to other Indian restaurants but the food is never as good. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Do not go here!!!! The manager is very rude... After coming to this resturant over several decades I ordered 3 portions of Korma to find 5 small pieces of chicken strips to over at least 200 mls of long watery sauce. I decided to call the manager of whom is a close family friend as I was not happy with the quality or quantity of the food. Beqring in mind the Total spend of the takeaway was £63 First I was told the manager was not in. Then 5 mins later a so called manager called me back asking me abruptly what the problem was!! Then again abruptly asked me what he should do about it- once I explained When I asked for my money back he told me that £30 was not fair after ordering the most watery Kormas ever He continued to Holla and shout at me telling me he needs to pay overheads and his electricity bill I've never in my life felt like I had to barter with a manager as to what he felt the buisness should pay me back for a poor quantity and quality food He then ranted on to tell me I should bring the Kormas back he would then throw them in the bin in my face, and video record me whilst doing it!!!!! I found this comment very disturbing to say the least........ quiet weird and out of place I dread to think about what else is going on in this persons life to ever construct such an idea Anyway.... Oh dear what can I say this is obviously a buisness that is struggling with some deep and dark issues in the personality of the manager What!!!!! So sorry to write this but it was either this or trading standards....I decided to spear the buisness and simply wish them all the best in the future

I visited this restaurant with my sister on a eat out to help out evening so was disappointed to be told by one of the owners that they had not signed up to the government scheme! Even though a work colleague who had visited this restaurant the week before informed me that they had been given the half price discount on their meal so this was disappointing to be told everything was normal price. The food took a while to arrive, don’t think we’re are many staff in the kitchen. One was the guy who took our orders so I guess he was multitasking being a waiter and chef! We ordered onion bhajis and samosas for starters. I have had better at the Anglo Spice Grill restaurant in Stoke Newington, the quality of their samosas and bhajis are much better and tastier. For the mains I had chicken korma and pilau rice which was tasty accompanied by Bombay potatoes and cauliflower with spinach which was very nice. The quantity was ver good, we couldn’t finish it all so took leftovers home with us. The interior of the restaurant is rather dated, the owner informed us that they have been there for 51 years!! This is the first time we have eaten there although I live in Wood Green. The bill came to £35 including soft drinks but would’ve definitely preferred it to be the half price option. Overall I would visit Paramount again, just not for now.

Been going to this restaurant for years about over 10 years. Although I have not visited as often as I use to the food never disappointments me and the consistency of the food is top class.

I have been going to this Indian since I was a child they were shut for a little while and I thought they closed down and was so happy to drive past and see it open and I love it I’ve tried other Indians but they ain’t even close such amazing staff and food honestly u can’t beat em

I have had the good fortune to live a stone's throw away from the great Paramount Indian Restaurant in Wood Green for the majority of my life. Had many great nights there ,5 star cuisine better than any I have tasted in and around London, set in a bustling location with a host that literally gives his all to please and engage with his local loyal clientele while still maintaining a friendly and genuine nature to his new customers alike! I was gutted I had to move so far from there 10 years ago, but how happy I was to return years later to find it still going strong and still firing on all cylinders especially when it comes to food quality and service, they even remembered my name!! WOW! I cant recommend it enough... I look forward to it again the next time I'm in town!

I get that the place was busy but the staff were deliberately ignoring us and trying to not make eye contact, after about 20mins we finally managed to grab someone's attention and they passed us off to a really grumpy member of staff who looked like he'd rather be anywhere else. The food wasnt bad but not worth waiting an hour for and with rude staff. Even getting the bill took ages. Won't be back.

The restaurant is out dated and needs a refurbish. I went after 30 years and they still have the same old carpet, torn in many places. The same dusty artificial flowers. Service is extremely slow, food is bland. If you know about Indian food then this place is not authentic. They add a lot of food coloring to make the food look appealing. We had the lamb curry. the lamb was tough and we found a bone in our curry. It was horrible. Awful food, awful decor. Dirty and old makes you wonder what the kitchen is like. Avoid! There are b etter Indian restaurants in North London that serve proper Indian food. I felt like i was eating outdated meat. Avoid.

i had my 50th birthday celebrations, the food was proportioned and very tasty. The staff were pleasant and atmosphere was on a high, recommend paramount to anyone that is looking for a great indian meal. It was my first time there as i was told about it by a friend.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and really great food. We had the Chicken Tikka and Prawn Puri starters which were absolutely gorgeous, and had Jalfrezi and Balti for mains. They were perfectly spiced and tasted amazing! Big portions too for the price, very good value for money!

Shocking. Says closed at 11.30 and cant get in at 10.30. Called us pikeys.

We booked a table and were glad we did as the restaurant got full very quickly including a large group of about 25 people. Only 2 waiters to cope with a full restaurant so service was slow although they seemed to handle it but only just. Tables were waiting a long time for food and you had to catch a waiter for another drink when you could. The food quality was good but the wait time let it down. We tried to take it all in our stride as the staff were pleasant. I ordered a coffee at the end of the meal and was horrified to see a kettle appear from behind the bar being filled with water from a tap. Lucky the coffee never came, it only appeared when we asked for the bill as it had been forgotten but when it did it was so creamy and the waiter said he had used coffee mate which I hadn’t seen since the 1970’s!!! Hence it was left and removed from the bill. Overall we would go back as it was within walking distance from the Travelodge up the road so it served its purpose for us and the food was good!

Service very attentive, food arrives relatively fast and the owner generously offered us free Baileys at the end of our meal (presumably because it was before Christmas). I ordered the Saag Aloo and a naan, and it was delightful. The potatoes were soft but not overcooked, and the curry was thick and creamy. At first-glance it looks like a small portion, but with the naan its very satiating. The house-white wine was great too (not usually a fan of wine) but it was all very palatable. Interior lowkey, standard tandoori setup. I think the only thing that would make it better is if they had traditional Indian music playing at a low-tempo in the background.

This establishment has been here for decades, and remains unchanged. The food and service is good. Typically two people could have a starter, main and drink for about £35. If it's crowded you can sit by the bar near the entrance and get a drink while you wait.

Why do they ask you to wait (apparently 20 mins) when they know that they will take more than hour to get you a table??? I have been a regular but lately the food and the management sucks!!!
