Great hospitality from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. The menu has a balanced range of meat, fish, vegetarian and vegan dishes of various spice / heat levels and, suggest picking a few and sharing. This restaurant is busy (but not slow) so is clear others also agree this is a tasty find.

Good option for indian food, the staff is very helpful and willing to accept suggestions, would definitely recommend this place

We’ve just ordered a takeaway and for the second time in a row, the food was just full of garlic and no where near as good as when it first opened. We wound ever be buying from here again, which is a huge shame as it’s our local takeaway. My advice, avoid

Excellent, well-cooked Northern Indian cuisine. Recommended. Revisited December 2023, still very good - recommended. Portions are not huge, which is ideal if you are ordering a variety of dishes.

Have been here twice and received excellent friendly service both times. We enjoyed two different delicious vegetarian aubergine curries on our most recent visit.

I was looking forward to dining here last weekend as I’d heard good things (a while ago). However I shall not be returning as despite the good service and nice interior of the restaurant, the food and portion sizes were really disappointing and, as with so many places these days, extremely expensive. Our mains of chicken and lamb were teeny tiny and more like a starter size. My chicken tikka consisted of 5 small pieces of chicken and cost £11.95. The popadoms were also tiny and very few per portion . Such a shame .

Very average,non traditional Curry House.Get the impression the cook/ owner is not of Indian/ Pakistani origin ...really flavourless. Went in on a lunch deal.but in all honesty it was misleading and basically ordered a la carte. Would give it a miss. The waiter was very helpful.but food bang average.

We ordered a delivery, OMG: Food was expired, old, and both of us, my partner and myself, had stomach ache and not feeling well after eating and the following day as for the food poisoning. We ordered: Dal Tarka, Plain Rice, Murgh Hara Masala (Signature), Bagara Baigan (Signature), Plain Naan !! All dishes we order were not good, the curries and the aubergine were sour and tasted very wired!! Only the plain naan and the plain rice was Ok. Please do not sell food that is harmful and hazardous to any customers!! We will never order again, DO NOT EAT ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE, SAVE YOURSELVES FROM GETTING SICK!!

The food is really good, but I'd say it's a bit overpriced. Be ready to pay an extra 15% for the service and £3.50 for a sip from a bottle of tapped water that's already on the table (and usually costs nothing)

Hey, I’m going to give you 5 stars because you’re the only Indian restaurant in the area that I know of and because the atmosphere inside was ‘buzzing’ and busy for a weekday evening. In that respect I was quite impressed and imagined I would like to dine here sometime BUT the takeaway Tandoori chicken you served me was the worst tandoori chicken I have ever tasted and as an Indian myself I have tasted a lot of tandoori chicken. It did not come with mint yoghurt dip (come on) and it didn’t even look like tandoori chicken. Please remedy this.

We want our previous chef back. We didn’t know there is a new chef, so we ordered our usuals. Waiters are still those funny lovely guys we love, but the food is like …shockingly awful- both the taste and the presentation. We told the waiter, he sent the food back straight way and gave us the other plates to try. We felt bad to tell him, it’s still awfully salty and crispy things still tasty chewy and soggy. We feel bad for the new chef, but we have loved this restaurant for years, and we were almost there every other week for our gathering dinners, and it’s kinda sad for us to lose our precious authentic little downstair Indian food heaven because of the sudden changing of the chef.

Excellent meal - an Indian restaurant is not my normal choice for a Sunday lunch, but we were very impressed by the high quality of the meal. We live in another part of London which is replete with Indian restaurants, but this one beats them all.

I cannot believe some of the recent reviews of this restaurant and thought maybe they didn’t go to the same restaurant I visited tonight. I thought the food was excellent and the portion sizes were more than adequate. Service was lovely and friendly and I thought the meal was good value for what we had. Would definitely go again and the fact that the place was packed out speaks for itself.

THE WORST INDIAN FOOD I EVER HAD ! SALTY SICKLY ,ME AND PARTNER DINNED THERE IT WAS HORRENDOUS ! Odd menu with no vegetarian main courses! Very disappointing to only be able to order starts and side dishes. There are steakhouses that are more vegetarian friendly than this place!

Nice food served by very friendly staff

Worst food I had in years. The papadom was made with burnt oil. The food had almost no taste and I feel sick now. No wonder the waiter didn’t ask us how it was when we left after 15 minutes

The murgh hara chicken masala was full of oversized large chunks of chicken in a dark greenish brown sauce the taste was not pleasing as well the huge slabs of chicken had a chewy feel which didn’t seem properly marinated. The fish Amritsar starter was basically gram flour bread coating with very little fish inside had a very bland and unappealing taste.

Total disappointment! What happened to this place? The lamb starter (once my fab) was small and tasteless. The chicken tikka masala tasted like tomato sauce with cream, the spinach dish had red kidney beans?! The aubergine dish, the bread etc went to the food bin. And it was supposed to be my bday meal.

Delicious Butter chicken 10/10 Biryani chicken 9/10

Avoid - portions are tiny, and the food is very expensive for what it is. Biryani was meagre and the service charge was 15%. The new ownership need review their position.

The best Indian Restaurant in London!

Tried the Korma, Josh Rogan and Daal curries with rice and paratha and it was delicious!

Asked for stupidly hot, got stupidly hot, absolute win!! Went last night, everyone in the party really happy with their choices, great friendly service from the team and surprisingly competitively priced… See you again soon x

Last Sunday we celebrated Mother’s Day at the restaurant and we had a delicious meal and the service was just wonderful. I had the Anarkali fish and it was very tasty, delicious flavour, perfectly balanced. We had a wonderful meal, lovely warm atmosphere, we very much enjoyed our afternoon with you, you made us feel very welcome, thank-you so much.

A horrible experience. We went there because it was recommended but I am sure something must have gone wrong or they changed the chef. The rice was oily, the butter chicken was watery and the birianis were awful. We ordered cheese naan but barely had cheese. I surely not doing this again.

The Lamb Bhuna that I ate this evening was amazing. So tasty.

Service and food were very good. For two people we wanted to have a vegetarian meal and ordered veg samosa, plus four different vegetable side dishes. All were excellent and we left feeling full. Definitely coming back as the two different see dishes - mushroom, the other aubergine, were delicious! Return visit was just as good! Party of six ordering a mix of starters and meals which were predominantly meat meals. Four of the six who were eating here for the first time commented -it was excellent... Full of flavour... Good sized portions... Eager to do it again"

It was an absolute delight walking into this beautiful Indian restaurant.Staff are very welcoming and attentive.It was hard to choose from the menus but staff helped me to choose dishes of my liking and I am glad I chose this restaurant .Food was mouth watering and service added extra charm.Definitely visiting again

We have been ordering from this restaurant for years and quality was always great but the last 2 orders were really disappointing. Tasteless rice, dhal and naan. Is there a new chef?

Ordered a chicken tikka with another dish to take away, the vegetables and sauces were lovely, but oh dear the chicken was rather dry and unpleasant. Pity

Absolutely outragouse. The chef cooked my birany with plain white rice. And once called they said they are out of pilu rice. Chef deserves a slap. Will be repeoting to the food agency immediately, as this is a sign of fraud. In every birany dish its meant to be piluo rice not plain rice.

Ordered on Uber Eats - there was a missing item in the delivery, and the restaurant made good on it immediately, sending another driver with the missed dish, plus extra poppadoms and chutneys!

Wow! This restaurant is amazing! I posted my bill to show what I ordered. Every single dish was outstanding, every mouthful was a party in my mouth. If I remember correctly, they have chefs from different regions of India who make their food to perfection. This was my second time. Officially my favorite local Indian restaurant.

It was a very busy night, of which we had been warned so were prepared to wait. What was disappointing was that the meal came in stages. Missing main courses rice and Naan not delivered. Even this I can forgive -things go wrong! However the sheer cheek of the front of house guy!! We said we could no linger wait for the mains, they then arrived at that moment - he said “enjoy the moment - I will not charge for them” Needless to say they were on the bill as was rice and naan that was not delivered. He then asks “was everything all right?” and suggested taking service off. It wasn't all right!!!

We live locally and we love this Indian restaurant. Staff are always friendly and polite as well as very accommodating. and the prices very reasonable for the quality.

Have used Indian Rasoi over the last 6 years and since lockdown their has been a huge reduction in quality and authenticity In the past one could taste the authenticity of the spices. Food was properly marinated This has all changed with bland spices, a cursory glance to marination Our recent order of paneer was measly. Chicken jalfreezi - struggled to find the chicken for the onions. Sad demise of a quality local which I was once proud to enjoy.

We have been getting takeaway from Rasoi since we moved to Muswell Hill, 3 years ago.Occasionally we have also eaten in pre-pandemic.We’ve been here with extended family and friends as well and we have always enjoyed the variety of food and a slightly more sophisticated taste than you get in other Indian restaurants.However, the takeaway meal we had last night, which comprised of the usual favourites we always get, looked and tasted completely different and made us wonder if the chef had changed or something else had gone wrong.The naan bread was sweeter than usual and drier, the chicken korma was sweet and claggy,, my prawn and pumpkin dish was overly spiced of the point it was dark red and the pumpkin pieces were enormous chunks that was stringy and inedible.Their signature dish (Biriani) which is a pretty good way of measuring a restaurant by, was oily and bland.Sadly with the competition that exists in this area for Indian restaurants, we will now be going elsewhere for our fortnightly takeaways, which is a shame.

Trying Indian Rasoi for the first time: chef recommended Pistao Chicken Tikka plus Sag Paneer. Verdict: delicious. Will be back.
