Pappa's Takeaway in Derby

Very poor quality food.We had cheeseburgers and chicken kebab.The kebab was a cheap dry pitta bread on a plate,some small cubes of chicken and a piece of old lettuce with a chunk of tomato and onion.The cheeseburgers were again very poor quality.Im not sure what the mayonnaise was but it was like glue!! The staff were pleasant .Do not waste your hard earned cash.My nephew went to a takeaway on the opposite corner and the food was far superior quality

Green recomendation from a lovely chap carrying a pizza box. Great pizza and still open long after my hotel restaurant had shut up shop. Thoroughly enjoying my rather late supper

I was hungry and this seemed to be the only place to eat in the area that was open. Despite the grim exterior i ventured inside. Grim inside, tables not cleaned. I ordered safe, burger and chips. The guy who was nice and polite cooked both from fresh. It was edible and hot but sadly lacked any flavour. At £4.90 good value but tasteless.

Been coming here for 20 years, this place is a hidden gem. When it comes to pizzas and burgers, you wont find better from a takeaway. I would recommend the spicy chicken pizza and cheese and chips. Trust me some takeaways are even struggling to deliver cheese and chips our days.

Tonight I ordered a vegetarian along with a Mexican with extra chilli,£11.40. I have no idea what they gave me but none of them contained minced beef. Perhaps they would like to comment!!!!!!

I visited here on 12/6/20 and ordered a chicken and lamb mixed kebab with salad mint and chilli sauce. The total cost was £5.20. Pappa's is only a short walk from the train station so is in an ideal location for people in and around that area. The kebab was grilled upfront if me there and then and the meat was cooked beautifully and tastes great. The kebab it's self wasn't big more of a lunch time kebab than yes time however the quality of it made it more than worth it at £5.20. It was a traditional style kebab with big pieces of meat and pitta bread. Would recommend for a nice light bite.

I have been a customer for 30 years never disappointed. Tasty, hot and always fully loaded. Great value for money.

Pizza's from here have always been great, never had a bad one yet and been attending for more than 25 years

Had a hot & spicy pizza and i must say it was absolutely delicious plenty of generous topping best i,ve had in a long time. This is the place to order from if you want a tasty pizza and not to pricey either.

I ordered a combo kebab that was nice, if not expensive for what it was. Reasonable turnover of people while I waited so obviously have regular custom. Not an area with fantastic choice

We decided to pop in as we drove by to grab some food on the way home. It took about 25 minutes for them to cook which we hadn't of minded, until we got home and had 2 pots of sauce and a cheesy garlic bread missing from the order. The chips we had were cold. The chicken burrito in all fairness was nice but almost £6 is ridiculous pricing for the small wrap which was more like a fajita. When we rang to ask why things were missing from our order the man who answered bumbled his words and said unless we drive all the way back for our missing food then there was nothing that could be done. I was then called from a mobile number, presumably from a manager saying I could go back the next day and get some food for free but with service like that I'd never step foot back in, even if i was starving. Just don't bother. There's a good takeaway on the same street up the road called Momo's if you want quality quick food, go there.

I tend to go for a quick bite to papas if in town, their chicken wraps are nice, but preferred the way they use to serve before with four small wraps and not 2 big ones. Over all yummy :)

I had a small personal pizza...ham and pineapple. It was good and didn't take too long to prepare. I was the only customer there at the time. Decent amount of food for the money.

Food always excellent and good service. We have been going to Pappas for years and the food is better than the takeaways in Normanton where I live.

Me and my family go to Pappa's on regular occasions and it is always lovely piping hot pizza. Hygiene could be better but hey ho.

Without going into detail, you only need to look at the cleanliness of their floor and then go to the toilet to make your judgement, dirty unkept hygiene - really bad, if they can't give their customers a decent toilet with basic hygiene then what how the fck are they making their food!!

we have been going to pappas for years the pizzas are gorgeous and other food on the menu.You don't have to wait long for it to be doneThere is nothing I dislike at all friendly staff .
