Papas Takeaway in Calderdale

Yet again the food order was incorrect. My last 2 previous orders were incorrect and always seems to be something missing. Standard of food as dropped also which is a shame as my family enjoyed this takeaway. Your customers are what keep you going and basic errors can be accepted but shouldn’t be a common occurrence. Massive let down!

We were walking the Pennine Way and our timings missed the local bars and restaurants. We weren't disappointed when we found Papas (mentioned in our guide book as one to find). The staff were lovely and friendly and let us eat at the counter, out of the rain. The handmade pittas were delicious! The entire meal was delicious. We completed the Pennine Way in 15 days. 😁 We were at Hebden Bridge on day 3. Thanks so much, we will always remember you as part of our adventure. You were lovely to two tired walkers. Always great food from Papa's. Recently just went GF and they accomadated my needs and was a delicious meal. The pizzas are fab, delivery drivers friendly and the staff in store faultless. Get that GF alternative onto the menu! Thanks again guys! 👍

The delivery service was over an hour we got the wrong order which I was blamed for explained I know what I ordered!!! The delivery guy claimed I was rude I just simply asked for the right food order to get delivered get a phone call saying we are not sending your order as it was correct in first place ! And u were rude to the driver which was a lie !!! I'm so cross with this takeaway total and utter lies!!! Really disappointed!! We wont miss them as the food is average at best!!! Only reason we ordered from them was they are the only takeaway that delivers on a Monday from Hebden that I'm aware of!!

Usually Pap's is our go to take out, not anymore. Last night (7pm) I dropped by and ordered doner meat, chips and salad, it was absolutely terrible. The chips were refried, stuck together and rock hard. The meat was reheated on the grill so went hard and oily and the lettuce in my salad was brown and slimy. The whole thing went straight in the bin.

Usually I have a good experience here but tonight I ordered a pizza and it was cancelled by them by email at the last minute. I am guessing this may have been because of Corona virus but if you are no longer taking orders, (and other places still are ) you need to update your status in just eat instead of leading people on. It’s not very fair at all., Not impressed at all.

Great meal from Papas following their reopening after the floods. They were very busy and under pressure, but the friendly and professional service from the Papas’ team kept their clients extremely happy. Thank you guys... we missed you...

Decided to have a take out, one pizza, delicious, hot and full of toppings.One portion of the Southern fried chicken. Delicious and a large portion, chips a little cold though. Used a delivery service, possibly cold cos he could not find our house.Overall very good.

this food is horrible my son's love it for some reason I got them this food for my son's birthday my daughter dosent like it. came here my daughter couldn't finish it to horrible for her she had bad stomach me to I'm never getting anything from there again unless I have too.

Got charged £2.50 for delivery and told us AFTER we already ordered on just eat, it’s ment to be free delivery up to 2 miles and I live less than a mile away so that’s a con. They have just medium and large pizzas no sizes so when I order a medium it’s about 6 inches. Also got the order wrong and didn’t get cheese and paprika on the chips. Pretty over priced too. Won’t be going back.

I had a takeaway doner kebab from here on Wednesday 7th of November. The kebab was worth the 15 minute wait and came loaded with plenty of meat, good fresh salad and sauces. I'll definitely be back.

Very good service. Get our takeaway delivered too. Nice options and fresh pizzas, kebabs, etc. Just wish the chips were served in a paper bag rather than polystyrene which makes the chips soggy.

Have ordered from here before and the food was very good. Have had the Mega kebab on a few occasions and it was excellent.On this occasion though the kebab went in the bin. The Nan was under cooked and the chicken seemed very inconsistent. It did not taste fresh at all and some of it was not cooked properly. I chucked the whole thing in the bin after a few mouthfuls as didn't want to make myself ill.I won't be ordering from here again. Very disappointing and a waste of money.

Ordered a fairly large amount of food between three of us after a big day out (Just under £30). This was a mistake.

Ordered from Papa's after checking them out on Just Eat, we were literally a few doors down but ordered delivery anyway.

My partner and I ordered from here for the first time after spending what seemed like forever deliberating yet again over what to eat for dinner.

Had a few kebabs and pizzas from here and always spot on. Service is quick even when busy, would highly recommend the papas special kebab, very nice!

Ordered a calzone which was gorgeous. Ordered kebab meat on chips and requested salad and garlic mayo. It came all cold, kebab meat was dry, no salad or mayo and perhaps a little concerning there was a random piece of lamp in the tray. The driver came back as he thought he mixed the ordered up, I complained and he said it had nothing to do with him. Not impressed on this order.

Have always got good food here, they do really good pizzas, kebabs, burgers and other fast food. The staff are always friendly and helpful, you can get it delivered to if you don't want a walk in the rain.

Burnt dried chillis on pizza instead of usual fresh ones. My wife threw it all in the bin as inedible.

Donna meat and chicken was fantastic! Shish meat was a little bit dry. But other than that small thing, tasty meal as usual, will order again!

I ordered the charcoal mixed kebab, the meat was high quality and there was plenty of it. Delivered within the specified time. I am a regular customer to Papas and have never had a bad experience. Would highly recommend.

Awful! Ordered at 9pm from just eat because the chicken I was supposed to eat tonight was off. An hour later I had heard nothing so i called, to be informed that my order was being started. Another hour later my food arrives and tastes awful. 2 hours to wait for disgusting pizza... 0/10. Will not be ordering again!

Took over an hour to be delivered...for a Monday night that's normally pretty quiet that's not good.

Wrote on my order for jalapeño peppers on the pizza as they didn't have an option on the extra toppings section. But they didn't acknowledge the comments. Good job I didn't put a dietary requirement or allergy. Not the first time this happened!

I waited one hour forty five minutes for food to arrive. When it arrived it was burnt. It also says free delivery on orders over ten pounds and they tried to charge me for delivery. I won't be ordering again

Unfortunately it was very disappointing. Our children were very excited to be getting a takeaway pizza. Unfortunately it was late and it was cold. The garlic bread seemed like it was leftover from the previous day. There was no apology for being late, we were kept waiting for 20 minutes.

The only thing fast about this food is the way you eat it as you're so hungry by the time it arrives! Took an hour and forty minutes and two phone calls to deliver mid week. This isn't the first time we've had to wait so long and received poor excuses. We won't be using again

Repeatedly lied to me about how long it was going to take to be delivered. Ended up taking two and a half hours in total. Pizza was fine though.

Ordered a Simple but nice with Jalapeño, when i came it had none on the pizza, so i called the takeaway and they explained that they had run out of the peppers, but yet i didnt recieve a phone call or email to tell me of this untill the driver had gone. dissapointing

The 2nd time i've ordered in the last month and both were over an hour late, the last meal was 1 hour and 40 minutes late.

Food arrived half an hour late and when I called to query why I was told they were busy and it took time to prepare the food. I'd ordered a chicken kebab and chips which in sure they should be able to rustle up in less than an hour!! I got no apology and when the food was delivered the guy said cos they were busy I should have chosen to have the food delivered later and then it would have been on time but my psychic powers weren't working that day so I didn't know they were busy and what time they'd be able to deliver!!! Ridiculous!

The Pizza was not as hot as it should have been, slightly over done and a little soggy when I got it, however I know the pizzas are very good usually so I will be counting it as a one off!

Pizza and garlic bread were nice/average. Garlic mushroom starter was impressive, 6 fresh mushrooms filled with garlic butter and cheese, very nice. Food was hot, delivery was 20 mins later than stated time but they did ring to say they were on their way/check where the house was

Pizza was distinctly average, however the fried chicken was nice. Not a fantastic meal, but good enough!

Slight mixed bag this time! First the positives:- delivery time was exceptionally quick, the chicken pieces were beautiful - crisp batter (not overdone), and the chicken was lovely and juicy. The mixed kebab was very good - but was a bit small compared to what I usually get from them. The salad in the kebab was bloody beautiful too! Unfortunately the order was let down by the burger. It was meant to be a chicken burger - but ,even after eating it, we have no idea if it was chicken or beef. Overdone, dry and tasteless thrown in a bun with scraps of salad. Would reckon with the obvious talent these guys have got on the flame grill that big succulent, char-grilled burgers is what the customer is wanting. All-in-all, very good food let down by a disgusting burger.

Ordered pizzas from here many times before, the fillings seem to be getting thiner and thiner and after tonights order I will be looking to go elsewhere
