My food was ready and I requested a guy, can you please give me my food and he starts arguing with me there are other customers came before you, I said ok but that guy keep talking we are only 2 guys working, you have to wait, I said calm down bro but he keep talking, the way he was talking to me was insulting and at the he said, that's the door go away. I asked who is your manager he replied I am the Manager. this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will never go back to Papa's chicken eastham

I had a disappointing experience at Papas fried chicken shop located at the High Street Eastham (opposite to Eastham railway station). I ordered three pieces of chicken and was given only two 10g sauce sachets (one tomato and one mayonnaise). When I politely requested an extra mayonnaise sachet, the staff refused, saying only one is allowed per meal. What makes this even worse is that many other fried chicken shops provide a full mayonnaise bottle at the dining table, allowing customers to use as needed. Here, they don’t offer such an option, yet they expect a tiny 10g sachet to be sufficient for a full meal. On top of that, the staff seemed disinterested in serving customers and unwilling to accommodate a simple request. A good dining experience isn't just about the food but also about customer service. Definitely not coming back!

I came to the restaurant at 10:30 the staff is saying rude to me that the tilt is open we will take your order after 5 mint After 15 mint when i ask him to take my order he then again talk with me in rude manner

I was double charged at East Ham Papa's Chicken store. I went back to the store and requested a refund the very next day. I was then advised that I should come back at an evening time so the staff that served me would be on shift. However, when I went back in the evening, I was told that they would not be able to do anything and the kind of customer service was pathetic. There is no complaints handling process in place. The staff were poorly trained in handling customers. I will be taking this issue with the Citizens Advice and ensure they do not repeat or avoid repeating such nuisances in the future.

I had a disappointing experience at Papa's Chicken in Ilford. A few days ago, my daughter bought some chips from there, but they were overcooked and burnt. When I went back to the shop to show them the picture and raise my concern, the staff's response was shocking. The employee admitted that their boss instructed him to serve those burnt chips, saying, "Whatever my boss tells me to do, I have to do it." This level of disregard for food quality and customer satisfaction is unacceptable. I expected better from a local food spot and will think twice before going there

Hi, we ordered from Uber Eats (named Hâna) yesterday and we really like the food, the portions and prices are perfect for friends and family sharing! I went to papa East Ham takeaway bought 5 pieces chicken and strips and chips received this faulty chicken so I decided to take it back to get another one but staff refused to apologise and give replacement also they we can’t give another because that staff is on day shift they are night shift I said can you get the manager or owner they said they are not available then he called the person who served me and attitude was unacceptable instead he was blaming myself that It was my fault he told come next day but I didn’t because he wasn’t accepting his mistake which I said mistake happens just replace it can the owner/manager please hire staff which customer service skills and no how deal with paying customers and please train them before

A tall young guy with glasses (staff) displayed very poor customer service and exhibited rude behaviour, particularly towards a delivery boy. When the delivery boy asked if he could be served, this customer assistant responded in a manner that was disrespectful. I am very disappointed with the training of employees at Papa's Chicken. I hope Papa's chicken will take actions.

Hi people, Just a word of warning, items were missing (3 wings). Went a week later 6th may 2024, staff told me there was nothing they can do. So make sure to check everything is there. I won't be buying food from these guys any more as they are unable to resolve a simple issue. Lost a loyal customer unfortunately.

DO NOT ACCEPT ORDERS IF YOU CANNOT HAVE THEM READY ON TIME. I ordered on ubereats around 1:30, pretty simple order - just a steak burger and some nuggets & chips. My order then proceeds to take so long to be prepared and when I’ve called the restaurant for a update, line goes straight to voicemail and then you just see that the restaurant is no longer “available” due to being too busy…at 1:30am apparently on a Tuesday morning… Anywho, my order finally arrived after more than a hour, as you can guess, it’s STALE & cold. Now putting a refund claim in through Ubereats and they’re trying to offer me only a £3 refund for an order I paid £12 for😂😂Absolutely not. I don’t recommend ordering from this place, ATLEAST not at night.

Terrible attitude and slow service.

Sorry to say, I have no choice, I have experienced rude behaviour of staff, I have never face such a bad attitude from restaurant industry. Today evening around 7.30 to 8 o clock, the counter boy he felt disturbance to provide services and showing attitude that insulting customer he doesn't bother if you either buy or not from their outlet, this is very unprofessional behaviour, reluctant to provide services, mock with us . We are regular customer of Papa's (Upton park).

Its £7 or £8 for a mega mix meal. Are you having a laugh?!!! Stop blaming inflation because inflation is coming down now. Overpriced and the burger was dry. Dixy across the road offers much better value. The only decent thing about Papas is their wings.

Had a really bad customer service there were two front members and wasn’t being understanding as well would never ever go there and tell my family friends not to go. Could’ve been the language barrier I’m not sure. It was a frustrating experience doesn’t even deserve one start cos why do I have to go through calling up my bank when it’s clearly stated that “papa’s chicken” has taken money off. I know how my online banking works but clearly they didn’t

I ordered a chicken wrap meal, and I took it home. I get it if the prices were increased but there’s no need to decrease the sizes. Just why would you do that, first the chips now the wraps. What’s next the burgers🤦🏾‍♂️

That's an amazing fast food in East Ham. That 3.1 rating is unfair at all. I'm not a huge fan of fast food but sometimes I can buy some. This year I buy minimum 7 times food from this place and always was hot, tasty, decent quality and the most important the place where they're preparing food is clean. Until now I don't have any food poisoning or any other problems after I eat food from this place. Staff is polite, especially a tall skinny guy, always gives me sauces, napkins, he's asking which part of chicken I prefer. If you're polite with people, people would be polite with you. After I discovered this place I never went to kfc. My favourite food position of the menu is Family Mini Mix for 11,99£, buy this and you have enough food for all day. I recommend to buy food take away from this place and you'll be happy, the atmosphere isn't the best to eat inside but you have a few tables there just in case. Also they're open until 3 am, that's really nice.

These guys have the most consistent wings you’ll come across. However the ration the sauce like this coming out of their dads pocket. I bought a 20 wings meal and was given 2 packs of sauce! I had to talk the guys really harshly in order to get them to give me more sauce. I just don’t understand where’s the logic in it. People don’t E want to be rude but these guys want to get it out of you.

Actually I’m big big fan of papa’s wings every week I will take 10spicy wings .. so I have visited all the branches of papas I.e barking road , Green street opp to queens market and this East Ham branch also .. but you known what in the eastham branch first they used to Sale 10spicy wings for 3.50£ following next week they charged me 3.80£ after two weeks now the price is 4.50£ itseems we’re as when you go and see in barking and Green street branch same 10 spicy wings they give for 3.49£ .. and in this branch they don’t give ketchup you have to beg like something and they say we already gave we will only give one ketchup .. I don’t understand how the staff are being so rude … all the guys two young tall guys and one old person with specs .. no not recommended.. now I have switched my weekly route to barking and Green street branch it’s very good now I’m happy with there service .. Owners please read this feedback and take this as a serious note

It is what it is - a chicken shop. Much like the standard you'd expect anywhere else in East London. More often than not, it's difficult customers leading to the staff being slow. Will never understand why this shop doesn't put a full menu on the wall with prices - service would speed up so much.

I would avoid going into this shop. Everytime I bought chicken wings from them I found 1 or 2 less than what was ordered. I think they do it intentionally. By the time I eat I am probably far so no time to complain. I guess even if I complain they won't listen to as the customer service is really awful 😕 don't think I will go back again.

One of the worst customer service as staff are rude and one of the employee called Ankit is rude and behaved in proper as he said Uber customers are more important than walk in as he said they stored ketchup and mayonnaise for them as they don't have any for walk in. I think Newham council should look into it as they should bring other alternative to the papa's chicken as they think there is no competition to them. Newham council or any government body should review customer service of all shops so customers will not suffer because of this type of customer service.

Regarding food hygiene , the guy who serving food never uses gloves! He is taking money from the people and by using same hands he is taking raw food off from the fridge and he is touching all the food by same hand.Papa’s management should look into this!!

Asked for fries and chicken separate and received a very small bag of fries. Prices have increased and the place is much more expensive than other chicken shops. Food was mediocre. Quality and service has reduced over the years.

Some times the staff is not supply proper quantity. They are serving mix fries and chicken. Quantity is less i ordered 6 pound meal.. They give 5pieces with mixed fries. Actually menu shows 9 pieces... With drink and fryes... Some staffs are not good..
