Only 3 tables indoors and 2 outside, we were lucky to grab one. Lovely view on mot the Wednesday market. Absolutely superb meze plates, generous and good value. Great large coffees too. Will be back! Staff were lovely! Takeout available too.

Stopped here today for the first time and what an absolute cracking little place. It's not often that you have everything just perfect... Cappuccino 👌 chicken gyro which had an amazing dressing on the salad 👌and the owners were soooo nice and hospitable 👌 We asked about the dressing so the young Greek lady pointed out the bottle (which we bought) and also sold us some of her paprika/oregano mix. So if you are ever visiting Buttermarket in Bury St Edmunds ( where the market is on Wednesday and Saturday) then I highly recommend a wee visit in here. 👏👏👏👌

First time popping in here but wanted to support a local business rather than buy a sandwich from M&S. We certainly weren’t disappointed. They were just open for takeaways due to covid which was fine by us. We had a Papakis meze and a chicken pitta and took them to the Abbey Gardens. The meze was delicious. It was the best taramasalata I’ve had. So many delicious things. Hubby had the Pitta which he also loved (hence the photo half way through!).Will definitely be back again, a new favourite.

Looking around for somewhere to eat while the Christmas market was on at Bury St Edmunds, and tired of the boring sandwiches and panini options I took my friend to Papakis deli. Its on one of the main streets and we loved sitting at our simple wooden table watching the world go by.We picked the meze for around £15 for two. It was great to see there were vegan and veggie options also on offer. Well, it was fantastic value for money as we were absolutely stuffed by the end of it. I can't describe half the food on the plate but it was tasty, fresh and the bread! Yum!A toilet is available which was clean and accessible if you can manage one small step down. Service was a little slower than I would imagine normally, due to the fact they were also running a thriving food stall outside at the market. So there was a bit of staff dashing about!I really recommend this place for tasty food and something a bit unusual for lunch. There was takeaway options, and some seriously tasty looking desserts!

My husband and I decided to try this place out because the reviews were positive. We went on a rainy Saturday at 11.30am and headed upstairs where we had the place to ourselves (downstairs is small and was cramped looking). We ordered fhe mezze to share and it was excellent. I would say if you eat a lot it's not mega filling but it was fine for lunch. Very tasty and lots of humus etc. You had to go and order and pay at the till which was fine and, once the food had come we were left entirely alone. There's also a deli. Watch your head on the stairs, the ceiling is very low.

Popped in with my friend that lives in the area ( I don't) for coffee. In my opinion the best latte & mocha I've had. I'm not a fan of the chain coffee houses , independent places are my favourites. Whilst in there a couple on the next table had the Papaki's meze for lunch. It looked amazing. So after a little bit more shopping as promised , we headed back in for lunch. What a fantastic change to the usual array of sandwiches/lunches that are on offer. Stuffed vines leaves, falafel, meatballs, beans, houmous, tzakzki, pittas and greek salad with feta and olives. So not disappointed it was delicious. Well Done.

My wife is Greek. She was absolutely gob-smacked to find a Greek coffee shop/delicatessen in the heart of Suffolk! They serve coffee, Continental AND Greek style (i.e. no milk, in a small cup, with the coffee 'mud' in the bottom. just as you would find in Athens. They also sell all sorts go Greek food - my wife is very partial to a Cretan bread, which is double baked. it's very hard, but can be softened in soup or stew, lots of roughage in it! Also small tit bits to eat. Highly recommended if you are in Bury on market day (Wednesday) or for their very popular Christmas market. Enjoy, and Kali orexi!
