Avoid this place, under new owners, don’t speak clearly, told 20 mins, got there, hand t even started the order, I won’t be back !

Ordered 2 vegan pizzas, waited 45 mins to get a phonecall asking if we want dairy cheese.....no...we dont

Ordered online for delivery, the pizza was undercooked and inedible. I also ordered a small ice cream, but was given a large ! That was nice but did not compensate for the disgusting pizza.

Shocking service, doesn’t even deserve 1 star. Ordered over an hour and a half ago, app stated delivered 45 minutes prior to calling them. 58 attempted phone calls later to be hung up on by a male with absolutely no manners whatsoever. Food is freezing and cannot get in touch for a refund. Will not be using Papa John’s again.

Lovely pizza, went here instead of our local durham store. So much better!! Gentleman behind the counter (manager i think) was lovely, really friendly.

Im a regular at papa all around the country. This fulwell one defo has the most toppings and are the best. The new one in shields ive had twice and they ration the toppings like i imagine they do in Ethiopia so i dont go to that one. This is the best one around for papa pizzas.

Price is high for a regular pizza

First time ever having Papa Johns. Amazing food & great service. Gentleman behind the counter helped us in choose the right sauces ect for our preference. Will definitely be returning 😀

Absolutely useless. Waited nearly an hour before getting a call to say saying options were either come pick it up yourself or wait another 45 mins as we only have two drivers. Why accept the orders then? And how did it take nearly an hour to realise you only had two drivers.

Philly cheesesteak papadia was an onion and green pepper papadia. Philly cheesesteak pizza was the same no steak to be seen very little topping apart from onion and peppers, total let down considering this pizza is supposed to cost £35.00. We got it for £22 which was at least £12 overpriced for basically an onion and green pepper pizza. 2/10 will not be returning.

We waited almost 3 hours before canceling the order. Throughout this time been told our food would be with us shortly several times, followed by the store refusing to answer the phone - terrible customer service. Raising this with Papa John’s customer service to get my refund I received an email saying 'Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience that this may have caused you’ as compensation. They ignored all my follow up emails - very poor.

Orderd from here on uber eats and they accepted my order and havnt delivered the food... And says on the uber app that the food is preparing neally a hours later

Always great pizza, speedy service. Always some good deals available but still not cheap.

on 30th April 2022 i ordered a pizza from Just Eat, from the Sunderland - Newcastle road Papa Johns, I ordered a BBQ Chicken Classic, it took over 2 hours for it to come, it came ice cold, and the best is it didn't even have BBQ sauce on it, how's that work a BBQ chicken pizza without BBQ sauce? never had a experience this bad with papa johns before, i phoned up the store to be greeted by the manager Dave who said they would do a pizza for us to replace it when we next call to order. i did lots of swaying to convince my partner to try papa johns again after our awful experience, so i contacted the Shop on the 02nd of July to order our papa johns, to get told sorry there's nothing we can do, Dave has left the store I WILL NOT be recommending Papa Johns to Anyone ever, Papa Johns has no Quality Control or Quality Guarantee

Been using this store for a number of years now , usually for pick up .....exceptional....order always fresh , piping hot and ready at arranged time ....friendly staff , order through app and have never had any order issues .....definitely recommend

I would give 0 stars if I could. I asked for no beacon in my order and they put beacon in it. I called them and told them I asked for no beacon but they refused and said there was no such a request from me so I have to the uber eats to get my refund.

We ordered a vegan pizza and it didnt arrive on time.We recieved a call from the manager apologising that the delivery drivers vehicle had broke down. Which was no fault of anyones however withinh half an hour the manager himself had delivered us a fresh piza directly he couldnt have done enough for us even though the circumstances were out of his control fantastic service from that store in sunderland

Not the best, ordered and came delivered (45mins) with missing item and wrong pizza (had somebody else's address on it). Sent back and had to wait a long time for re-order (another 45 mins), they did not speed up the deliver. Pizza had way too much tomato base, cheese slid off the pizza

Absolote shambles. Wait nearly two hours for ordercto arrive and they forgot one of the pizzas and those that arrived are cold. Not impressed at all.

6 phone calls and 2h 45m late and it’s freezing cold and missing a dip. Never going back.

Ordered a pizza and a drink for delivery. Estimated time. 8.30 pm. Now 10.15. Rang the shop twice. Said they are busy and short staffed, not their fault ( well certainly not mine.) Female staff said I don’t know when it’s coming, it’s just out there. First time and last time using this Mickey Mouse outfit.

Can't even get to checkout. A nightmare.

We ordered for collection on what was probably the busiest night for our local papa John's so it was chaotic when we arrived. There was a long wait to get our pizza, but it was absolutely worth it 👌

45 minute wait to collect a pre booked order. Then as there was an issue with the sides had two pizzas that had been out of the oven for ages. Very poor

Ordered via their online app. I rang up after I had placed the order and asked the lady on the phone for only tiny bit tomatoe puree on my pizza which she said that was fine. The pizza came it was COLD and their was loads off tomatoe puree, that's all you could taste. Very disappointed as I have ordered previously and its been spot on!

Being dairy intolerant is a pain in the butt. But these guys do so many vegan cheese options that mean I can enjoy my take out, without feeling like I'm going to die. Thanks guy! I love your pizzas. Yous are the best :D

My first visit to papa John's, it was lovely. Plenty of toppings unlike domino's.

Love the pizzas from here especially the new vegan cheese and hotdog pizza. Let down by 2 points, they don't deliver to me even though I am a few mins away because the postcode goes from a SR to a NE, and sometimes the topping additions or removals are ignored. But still come here frequently because it's good food.

New management or mismanagement pizza delivered. cold and 30 minster late. back to pizza Hut or dominos for me.

This place is very welcoming and has great food. The atmosphere is great there and everyone is very friendly and kind. My fave thing to get there is a large sausage and pepperoni with stuffed crust. It tastes amazing.

Didn't use the place prefer Star Pizzeria next door

Loved the garden party had it twice since open and they have a great variety of dips . Also the chicken poppers are lovely with the honey mustard dip.

Normally love papa johns, but service was terrible, pizza was ok not as good as others (soggy, way more onions than normal). Ordered over the phone when we arrived we were ignored by teller. When our pizza was called he asked if we'd paid, obviously hadn't because was just blanked. Was told it didn't come with sauce so ordered it. Apparently it did.

Pepperoni didnt taste very nice. Very heavy dense dough and sloppy sauce on the crust. Pretty bland. Let down.
