Papa Johns, Primrose Valley in Scarborough

It’s a site take away, so I doubt this review will have any impact in any way, but honestly I’d avoid if you are ordering for a delivery. After calling twice we are still waiting (2hrs after placing the order). If you want a refund then you have to physically go in store which can be problematic if you have young children and can’t leave unattended 👍🏻. Still waiting as writing this so Im assuming we’ll have no food , be £50 down until I can physically go into the store tomorrow.

Bbq drizzle on the topping is rank, chicken looked like it was from frozen and ham was very tangy 0/10 and got thrown away, shame as im a big bbq chicken fan of other establishments but this was just awful, the veg version garden party was ok, All in all will not be going back to the primrose in yorkshire again

Called in after playing bingo for tea for 3 of us. Well over priced!!! I had a Mexican pizza,next to no meat on it,toppings were poor as fook!!!! Staff were miserable,definetly don’t recommend!!! Awful!!!!

Shocking service, visited with my family bank holiday August 2024, earlier in the day i nipped and asked if they did small pizzas, baring in mind its a family resort 🙄 and they replied "no", but we can do a kids pizza with 4 slices" i replied, thats great see you later. Went back several hours later ordered a large pizza and kids pizza to be told "we dont sell kids pizzas" (because they dont cost as much i bet) i mentioned the conversation earlier which they said i was advised wrong, so i had to take that on the chin and order a bigger one. I dont like tomato, so i ordered a create my own pizza with a plain base, to be told we cannot do create your own with no sauce, i repled " your making them fresh just leave the sauce off, how can you not do a plain base" unbelievable, i asked what they would do if i was allergic to tomato, after a slightly heated chat they agreed, i asked them have they never had anyone not request a plain base before and they said "no". Very poor customer service, spent over £50 in there and was left to feel like i was asking for the earth, we wont be using them again, other places are alot more accommodating.

Absolutely no gluten free options! It’s 2024 btw!! Take a leaf out of pizza express, Pizza Hut, domino’s etc etc etc I feel completely discriminated against!

Avoid!! Watched one of the workers eat a slice of pizza that was due to be delivered then carried on preparing food without washing his hands disgusting!!!!

Bad service and unprofessional workers, and they have no respect for the customer. We are the ones who pay you salaries. You must exchange respect. Unspecified waiting time. If they tell you that the waiting time is 20 minutes, make sure it is an hour. You can call one of the local restaurants, YFC, which is 3 miles away, 7 minutes drive in Filey. I got a very good order from an excellent restaurant at a very low price

Absolute joke of a company! Walked in for a menu, he said they close in half an hour, I walked back to the car for my card and as I walked back to order, the worker literally shut the shutter in my face! I am absolutely disgusted! They clearly couldn’t be bothered to make my order even though he had just said he closed in half an hour! Lazy pig! You need to have a word with your staff losing you money and treating customers that way!

Worst pizza I’ve eaten and I’ve eaten some horrid pizzas dry no taste . Worse then a pizza from a cheap Turkish take away shop do not waste your hard earned money. Be better buying a frozen pizza the garlic dip is pure melted butter with a hint of garlic

the shop is on a holiday resort family friendly staff absolutly not charged us 45 quid for two pizzas then we noticed family deal 39 quid that was not mentioned at point of sale 4 more drinks extra sides this should have been told at point of sale but no ripped off again the whole site is there just to rip of families and the pizza was not even all that nice left half of it very poor

Heard a staff saying can't serve him, I waited a further 5 minutes and said they couldn't serve me for some pathetic reason, I own multiple caravans on this site and to be shrugged off like that is disgraceful. Do something about the way these guys run papa John's primrose it will not be good for business.

Son loved the pizza , bought from the haven holiday camp , he was constantly asking me to get him the chicken bbq wings also

As this chain is inside the Haven parks I am pretty sure they have a marked up price on their pizzas and deals. Never the less the pizza was really tasty and cooked fresh.

Ordered through the app while on holiday driver spilt drinks on the food boxes opened the 3 pizzas every single one of them were in bits and pieces looked like they’d scraped them out of a bag we complained twice the manager was absolutely disgusting very hostile attitude not only with customers but to her staff which puts people off !I was told we’d get another order after the driver had picked up the rotten food then 2 hours later to be told I’d be receiving a refund and no food was been delivered after that my partner went in to the shop for a bit more of understanding to be called a liar and wed delibritily ruined the food ourself obviously not when we had waited 2nhalf hours for it but I think that made the manager feel better about the situation to just blame us will never ever go there again

Food tasted good but an hours wait is unacceptable at the very least they could have been telling people the wait time prior to ordering. Very expensive for what it was too. I won’t be back.

Cant review as it was closed for the season despite Google showing open. From the outside looked nice and clean.

Staff friendly, modern way of knowing your order is ready but food was terrible. Asked for the garlic pizza fingers, which previously form a different Papa Johns have been absolutely amazing. The photo of the item on the menu, show a light and fluffy garlic bread, however what we received was close to a brick. It was burnt, dry and had no flavour of garlic at all. Luckily we ordered the cheesey garlic fingers too, which just about saved the experience.

Staff were friendly & highlighted offers which made the purchase cheaper. Pizza was exactly the same as you would get in any other Papa Johns.

Ordered in store for delivery to our caravan on site. Delivered at time requested (give or take 5 mins) by a very friendly driver. Food was hot, tasted great and was very much enjoyed. Downside, it cost us £30 for 2 large pizzas only. Paid £5.95 for a large cookie dessert which was enjoyed also.

OK, nothing special, especially for the price.

Was told it was an hour wait for food, so went back the caravan which is a 10 minute walk from papa johns. Went back with 30minutes to spare. The food was ready. By the time I got back home it was cold. Then the order was wrong. Not worth the money.

Nice food. But refused to take cash!!! Absolutely absurd, it's legal tender.

Positives: ordered 25 mins before collecting and they made our order on time. Negatives: for such an expensive pizza place we thought it’d be amazing. But in all honesty I think it’s the worst take away pizza I’ve had (and I’ve had a lot of takeaway pizza). It was chewy... and dry. Potato tots were cold by the time we got them to the caravan. This was possibly our fault (I hope). So recommend delivery to your caravan or Collect and eat outside. Unless you can walk fast (we had slow walkers). Won’t eat at a papa johns again.

I like the food at papa John's but at this particular shop the service is slow and the staff don't seem to care about their customers.

Absolutely delicious pizza! Got the biggest one they do and 4 of us had Some of it. Wasn’t a long wait either and they do plenty of meal deals for a quick, easy tea!

Absolutely downright rude when querying the price of 4 pizzas and four potions of wedges. When quoted £80.42 of course I queried the price. What's your issue?! So I said I'm not looking to argue but I'd like to know how the price could possibly be that and I was informed wedges were £4 a portion. So how much are pizzas to be told £16.99 each. No thank you and put the phone down. In my opinion this establishment is charging twice the price of any other pizzeria.

We always use papa johns when we visit primrose valley we order food before we leave live lounge take a table buzzer no longer than 15 mins wait and collect on way back to caravan fast service friendly staff nice clean environment little bit expensive to your avarrage pizza shop but the pizzas are unreal and the buffalo sauce 🤤 can’t fault it

My kids love papa's so we go often.

Ordered on a weekday. Phoned up to place order 40 minutes before opening. Food arrived at our caravan exactly on time (20 minutes after opening). Food was lovely. We would order again. Bit expensive for takeaway pizza but that’s a captive audience for you.

Below average! Expensive for what you get and very small amount of toppings. Pepperoni pizza had one pepperoni on each piece. Not one star because it was hot and still tasted nice

Pizzas are ok. Not much other choice to be fair. Shame you have to remortgage your house, sell your car AND win the lottery to buy anything that will fill even a child for more than half an hour.

Ordered takeaway for 4 adults & 4 kids Sat night 20april just down road from primrose valley, took an hour 45 minutes , food was cold , chips with meals were Overcookedand uneatable, never apologised for delay,and would not answer phone calls from us , as to find out why taking so long? Shall never Buy from here again!!!

We love papa johns it’s really nice tasty food, you get a fob that vibrates, lights up when your food is ready. So you don’t have to wait around 10-20 minutes depending how busy they are. They do delivery too but we just waited for our food. My only fault is the price as a medium 8 slice pizza is £13-18 which is rather a lot when you get a local take away menu delivered and the are only £6-9. They had a deal where you could get 3 pizzas for £33 which made it a bit better but I didn’t want three!

Great fish and chips at a great price .

We went to Papa Johns the first night we were here and ordered the two pizzas and wedges for £28. Although the person on the checkout didn't look happy, the food was made quickly and was tasty.

Food nice but had to wait a while

Called into Papa John's after evening entertainment for pizza delivery to our caravan but we had just missed the last time for delivery so had a 20 minute wait. We ordered the 3xl pizzas for £33 they let us have the pizza with half/half toppings so everyone enjoyed their own favourite. We took them and ate them in the other entertainments lounge as our caravan was a good treck away. Really lovely pizzas really enjoyed them. Would order from here again.

We had the family feast each time, and had half and half toppings on each large pizza, and extra toppings too - they were sparse on the toppings, and the cheese!

Will never eat a Papa Johns again. The prices are ridiculously high, somewhere close to £30 for 2 pizzas and they have no signs of flavour whatsoever! Never again.

Treat while staying there cost £16 for a large pizza and was nothing special, just ok, go to the chippy next door much better.

Very rude staff member when shown the blue light card for discount. "You may aswel put that away cause it aint going to work here" to my partners reply "right" for for him to say, "we're a franchise and can do what we like" what!!!! Rude... will not be using again. Staff need a lesson in customer service. Family complex aswel..disgusting

Although the pizzas here are a more pricey than a local takeaway the quality is amazing also you can nip out to collect and take it back into the club ideal

Really nice food, reasonable prices. Got the family meal deal with drinks and desserts as there was 4 of us.

Shame they took their phone off the hook so we couldn't order.

So I placed an order for delivery which I was told would be 30 mins so 10 min walk back to van pizza shouldn't be long...nearly an hour later at 11:20 bearing in mind they stop delivering at 11:30 I rang them back to ask where my order was they very rudely told me it had already been delivered!! I told them it had not to which they said it had so that was that they could do nothing more!! I was furious bearing in mind I'd already paid for the food by card and my daughter was still waiting for her food an hour later... so 24 minutes later on the phone still being passed from person to person I told them if they didn't send my order I would inform the police as it is fraud paying for goods I have not received!! Only then did they offer to send my order again with some free ice cream I told them to keep the ice cream and to just send the food to the right caravan this time!!! After many stern words they offered to refund me and do my order again so they did but by this time nobody was in the mood for food anymore and the driver had the cheek to tell us he took it next door!!! Should look more clear at the numbers on the caravan caused a lot of trouble that could of been easily avoided!! Staff very rude basically calling me a liar until I told them I'd ring the police shocking customer service from the teenagers running the place!!!!!!

Papa John's is in the main complex at Primrose Valley, so readily accessible on foot from most of the sire. There is a relatively small selection available and-when we were there, a slightly confusing price list- it pays to discuss your order with the staff before a final decision. The quality of the pizzas was good, justifying the prices- which I understand are standard Papa John's prices. At £13.50 for a small " The Whole Works" pizza, cheap it ain't! However, you have to take the convenience into account.......... We,re going back to the site later in the year and we,ll certainly be calling at Papa John's.

When you want a quiet night in and a takeaway, the Papa Johns at Primrose Valley was pretty decent. Took our order and it was ready in 10-15 minutes. Short walk back to the caravan. Still hot and very tasty. Didn't leave any!

We always make sure we fit in a visit here when staying at primrose Valley and this time was no exception. The pizzas are amazing and I love the base and the crust. I also like the fact that you can select what toppings you want on them. It isn't necessarily the cheapest place to eat but about average for what you would expect from on a holiday park and the pizzas are worth it.

Their adverts are very much correct, better ingredients do make better pizza. You will never be disappointed with a pizza from here, it’s like being in Italy. The staff are always friendly and helpful as I sometimes find it hard to decide Highly recommend 👍🏻👅

We arrived late one evening & wanted something quick & delivered. We really enjoyed our pizza, chose half & half. We both really enjoyed, delivered on time!The only gripe was the young lad that took the order, he was so unfriendly & looked so miserable. Such a shame because the pizza was so good.

We visited and ordered 2 pizzas once we were back at accommodation found that the pizza was wrong so took it back. It then took me a long while to get them to agree to do me a new one. Also refused to redo the wedges that came with the meal as they were cold by this point. But point blank refused. Never got an apology for giving me the wrong order. Very rude staff and rubbish customer service. I won't be going back and would suggest others go some where else too.

Fantastic pizza base but the toppings and cheers were sparse at best. Disappointing for £15! Still enjoyed it though!

This was a nice pizza but very expensive, and the queuing system needs updating as there are not many seats.

All we got was a kids meal and it come with a 4 slice cheese pizza and 4 mini corn on the cob's and a totty drink and was a good price for £4.50! Would go back again. p.s: dont expect quick service.

Pizza is nice, bit pricey and long waiting time which didn't matter too much but the worst thing for me was the young woman behind the till serving (did take her name but can't remember it) We went 2 nights in a 4 night stay and both nights she had a face like thunder, was rude and patronising with customers, flashing dirty looks out constantly! got impression she didn't wanna be serving people just having a chat and laugh with colleagues. Sorry but this point needed to be raised as it really has put me off going in there if that woman is serving. Overall pizza and chicken was lovely, nice takeaway to have on site.

Although we were only there for 4 nights we had Papa John's pizza on the first and last night as the 3 children kept asking for them! They are very good and enjoyed by all , even my 9yr old Grandson who never eats pizza normally !

It's a good place like all the other papa johns. It's clean helpful staff and waiting time was fine its just it is very expensive but it is through out all of the stores but overall a solid papa johns

Theis good value, wide variety of toppings and sizes with offers available. Delivery available throughout Primrose valley Holiday Park which can be great if you have already put the kids to bed and the urge for pizza is overwhealming!

Really good deals to be had & really nice tasting Pizza!. Choices can be hard but made easy with a Half & Half option. Sides are available as well as deserts.
