Papa John's Pizza in Thanet

When the store is open and delivery is working, the food is really good. My favourite Pizza place in the area. Unfortunately the store has constant problems with its delivery service, you can expect to wait an hour or more for any delivery. At random they will just turn off their delivery service, sometimes for days. The store opening times also do not match the reported store times. They are usually closed for the majority of the day. Currently despite the store claiming to be open, both its delivery and collection are offline.

These guys make the best pizza in town. They never skimp on ingredients and do their job efficiently.

This is my go-to pizza place, i love it here it’s great, people are friendly, food is obviously amazing, and the prices are decent (if you collect, otherwise, the prices are horrendous), you really can’t go wrong. Only problems are that sometimes the hygiene is questionable, if you live nearby to this place you’ll know what I’m talking about, and the food may be a bit inconsistent sometimes, before I’ve received burned pizza, even borderline raw, doughy pizza, (could have just been soggy), but this happens once in a blue moon and it’s not always going to be perfect. Overall though, it’s great, the rating system here is weird so i rate it overall a 8.5/10.

Weird mix. Medium Pizza at £6.99, not sure exactly what it was, because they got me all confused by saying how many toppings the deal allowed. It was however reasonably tasty when it arrived eventually. The card machine was not working, so I paid in cash, but they did not have enough change, and the girl behind the counter asked an old chap who appeared to be her uncle for some change, he handed her a load of small coins, it amounted to 27p less than my due change. There was a very loud beggar over the road shouting to himself, as the doors were open we had that as the entertainment while waiting.

REALLY! That was 1.5 points above the pizza I had from Dominoes. They got a 0 and wont see me again.What happend? You use to be good. I take it that it's profit over quality for you guys as it cost about 3 squid to put a pizza together for a company your size all inclusive .To pay 8 x times that price for a pizza that is, well, medium to less than that quality. Welllllll. Come on guys. You know you can do better .

Hour n half wait stone cold pizza #### take

WOW best tasting authentic pizza in Thanet. Lovely fresh ingredients and fab original pizza base. Will definitely be ordering from Margate Papa John's again.

Ordered 1 pizza and side. Was told 50m wait - waited 1hr and 10, to recieve cold food. Called to complain, was rudely told there was nothing they could do. Then spoke to manager, who said if the food was uneaten they would send another. I was not prepared to wait another hour, so cooked my own food. Don't ever use this.

The food i ordered tonight was average at best. Tasted more like some cheap pizza joint. Bland and disappointing

Pizza is lovely and very pleased just had to wait 30mins later than when I ordered.

The staff at Papa John's pizza Margate were very helpful, the Broadstairs one, not so.

It's a shame the franchise is severely lacking in customer service, 75mins for delivery, one pizza crushed in the box, both barely warm. The pizzas themselves taste good and the new veggie/vegan options are good. Hopefully the store picks up it's game .

Papa John's is always my choice when it is time for Pizza. I keep going to store every week and ask for any deal. They have more deals but most of the time accept is buy one get one free deal which I feel is the best value deal. The same taste as I tried in other papa Johns stores. I tried here during my recent visit.

Ordered from here twice in the past month as the pizza was that yummy! They also do gluten free & vegan cheese which is great for my mum who suffers from gluten & milk allergies! Was delivered fast & piping hot on arrival. Will defo order again!

Food delivered from Margate branch. Food was disgusting. Very greasy and the topping slid of the pizza. Will NEVER use again!!!!

The women who answers the phone needs to learn how to speak to customers properly. Ive been in the shop on several occasions and she spends more time on her phone than actually listening to customers orders. Then when the the customer gets annoyed with her she gets shitty. I was on the phone for nearly 10mins trying to give my order. Wont be useing this place again.

Took 7 kids to eat here and the seating was perfect for them. The food was make in good time and was nice too. Staff also provided a very good service.

A decent pizza outlet that is mainly a takeaway, but does have a few tables for eat in customers. The staff are friendly and helpful. The place is both kept clean and well decorated though the eat in area is in the area where people are waiting for their takeaways. The pizzas themsleves are nice and great value. All in all a decent quick bite.

Understaffed, long wait, low hygiene. Would not go there again.

The staff where absolutely brilliant, they were so helpful & the food was wonderful. The restaurant was very clean & tidy.

Very friendly, personable staff, always prompt delivery, food ALWAYS good; I don't know who the complainers ordered food from, but it wasn't Papa John's...

Tried papa johns 3 times in the last week (as thought initial bad experience might be teething problems) but every time the food was extremely late arriving (tonight waited over an hour), after ringing the store we were told it had only just left and was round the corner but Clearly NOT considering the food arrived STONE COLD! (it had obviously been on the road for sometime). Staff really couldn't care less and seem to have 0 customer service skills. Won't be ordering again!

Not the greatest pizza I've had and wedges were so dry with not much cheese or bacon on. Wouldn't rush back

I love Papa John's, easily the best high street pizza shop, the Margate branch is no exception, service is fast, the pizza is consistently good and who doesn't love the garlic dips! Domino's is a few minutes further down the road and if you are coming from that way, dodge Domino's and go here instead.

Amazing service. I have been waiting for aaaaaages for a Papa John's to deliver to us in Minnis Bay, Birchington as I favour it over other pizzas and I was not disappointed. Delivered in half an hour from ordering, nice and hot and I've made my partner convert to Papa John's. We will be ordering again soon and will probably try to convert others!
